AU Payroll - Automatically email payslips
Hi
There is a suggestion to add the function of automatically email employee payslips to their email address instead of spending time to manually do it again and this should be restricted for permitted user access.
access.

I presume this is the same for all countries’ payrolls as I need it in UK.

NZ Payroll needs this too!

Schedule payslips in XERO. So you can prep a payroll for a certain date and XERO send out the payslips automatically.

Surely this is an easy fix for Xero to implement. Can’t believe it’s not standard practice any way.

100% support this idea too. Would like to have this look as part of the core function :)

When processing wages in advance, it would be ideal if you could email pay slips on a set date instead of when processing

100% agree Michael. this should be an quick & easy fix for Xero. It is a FairWork & ATO Compliance issue. Not a nice to have.

Given the FWO mandates payslips are sent within1 day of issuing pay, implementing this function is critical to our business to stay compliant.

Ability to choose to send payslips automatically after posting, or to choose to send on a particular day / time (recurring "appointment" like setting appointments in calendars").

Ability to set a future date for when payslips are to be sent/be available to employees as payroll can be completed early sometimes (ie public holidays etc)

Au Payroll - scheduled payslip sending.
Many business operators process payroll ahead of pay day. ABA files can be scheduled for payment ahead of time however payslips still need to be sent on the day. If they could scheduled, on the day the pay run is processed, to be emailed on a specific day then it would allow for greater flexibility. -

It's unbelievable that Xero still hasn't actioned this feature. Xero, PLEASE take note!

Can you please add the ability to schedule the sending of payslips. Its inefficient and unnecessary to log back in just to do this, sometimes days after processing the payroll. Thank you.

This is necessary for keeping staff updated with timely information regarding their pays.

It would make my life so much easier if this function was available in New Zealand. If Xero could action the issue of the pay slip from the payment date. It should be an easy program just how easy it is for statements to be automatically sent.

100% agree. I do payroll on Sunday and have to remember to log back in to email payslips on pay day (Tuesday). Very basic feature.

Ive just been moved over from Quickbooks and this is one of the features I miss!! quite often I will do the banking the night before or early morning and knowing my staff/most people have there phone near the bed at night I don't send emails and then have to remember to do it the next day... alright if you have a staff who just sits in office just doing this but when you are a one person for all in the office plus working it would be good to schedule and forget. They have the app but its our policy to email them so they know that the pays have been processed

During payroll you need to fill in each payslip save each one then after paying through my bank. you need to click post the pay run, then click pay run options click email payslips and select the addresses then click email payslips, then file it with STP.
It would be great if there was an option to click Post and Email payslips, then go straight to STP this would require less clicks that would reduce time each week.

This should be a no brainer. The only reason I can see for Xero not wanting to do this, is to save their own server workload, but come on! Would simplify the lives of business owners and their staff.

To give an example from one of my clients, the payroll week runs Monday to Sunday and is paid on Thursday. He often will process the payroll as soon as everyone has their timesheets in, which means he can be processing payroll on a Monday when payday is Thursday - under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cwth) it is illegal for my client to send payslips more than one workday distant from payday, so if he's processing payroll on Monday, the earliest he can legally send payslips is Wednesday, two days after the payroll is processed. It is unreasonable to expect him to log in just to send payslips.
