Thanks for sharing this idea. This partial-copy feature might be used whenever you need to copy a quote or invoice to another transaction, such as another quote or draft invoice.

Hey Dean thanks for bringing this Idea to us, we always appreciate our customers thoughts on how we can improve Xero! This Idea has been moved to Gaining Support so others can vote and comment on this. We also wanted to let you know that there is a work around for tis idea, you can create a draft quote with all the relevant details and use that as a base to 'copy to' to reduce the time spent filling out the same details. Don't forget to let you friends and colleagues know they can vote on this idea now 🙂.

Thanks for the interest in this idea, everyone. We appreciate some customers use other apps to regularly interact with their customers including Whatsapp, and are continuing to pay close attention to the support for this idea.

Hi everyone, we value your input and sharing with us on your needs here.
While not a direct preview button we have provided the ability to 'Get link' from the 3 dot menu in quotes - in the same manner as invoices this will provide you a unique link that you can use to share externally, or open in a new browser tab to preview the quote.
Though not a direct solve for what has been asked in this idea, this was another highly sought after request raised by community.
We believe this option will meet the needs of some on this idea too, but will also continue to track the interest for a Preview option for future consideration. 🙏

Hi everyone, understand there are some businesses that have other processes in their sales flows that we don't currently have direct features for. Being open we don't have any plans for developing a Sales Order Acknowledgement atm.
In lieu of this, we wanted to share how you might be able to create a new branding theme and edit the Quote template for this atm.
You could create a separate branding theme for Order Acknowledgements. Editing the title of the Quote template.
Once the quote is accepted and you want to send an acknowledgement, you'll want to edit the quote and select the 'order acknowledgement' branding you've created.

Hi team, in the aim of transparency we have split this idea out from the original one here so we can get a better understanding of the interest for this change in each area of Xero.
Being quite different features within Xero it's not likely that a change in one would be reflected in the other area at the same time. We will continue to track interest in removing quotes from the all list here and share if there are any updates.

Thanks for sharing this idea. 🌟 At the moment, Xero does support attaching multiple files, but each individual file needs to be under 25MB.
So this limit applies per file, rather than as one total cap across all files uploaded through the common file uploader.
We understand why larger file support would be helpful, and we’ll leave this idea here so the team can continue to gauge interest and demand for changes in this area.

Thank you everyone for engaging about the need for a discount column in Bills with us here.
While there isn’t a direct column for adding a discount atm, there are a few ways you could look to reflect this in your bills right now;
- Use Xero’s inbuilt calculator in the Price field, and add a note to the description of that line e.g $5 item at a 20% discount you would enter 5 x 0.8 in the quantity field and could add a description “including 20% discount”
- Reduce the Quantity field to reflect the discount e.g 20% discount enter 0.8 in the Quantity and use a descriptor as above
- Use a separate line of the bill to enter a whole amount discount with a negative Price amount
- If you use Purchase orders, when you copy the Purchase order to a Bill though the discount column will not show the Subtotal…

Hi Michael, returning to your idea here this'd be quite a difference to the way in which Xero works today and we don't have any plans of adding an invoice calendar to be able to schedule tasks that'll add new rows to an existing invoice.
That said, we have another idea for being able to add a date column to invoices that you may like to join and would be a step toward what you're hoping to achieve here.
Alternatively, if not already I'd recommend exploring Projects that enables you to add tasks and expenses on the fly. When ready you can create draft invoices from the tasks and expenses within a project which can be carried through as either a combined line or individual lines on your invoice.

Hi Shelby, thanks for sharing this idea. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. At present users are utilising tracking categories to track different locations of a project. However we appreciate the need for a seperate field for address. We're moving this idea to gain more support from the community. Thanks for sharing your feedback on adding multiple payments to bills. We appreciate you explaining how this could streamline your workflow when managing weekly payments broken into smaller amounts. We understand you're aware of reconciling through bank accounts using the split payments, though this may not fully address your needs.
