Thanks so much for sharing your idea!! We can see how helpful it would be for Xero to automatically notify you when a customer is close to, or has reached, their credit limit.
Our Community team has reviewed your idea and we’ve now moved it to Gaining Support.
Other community members can now vote on your idea and add comments to share more detail about how this kind of notification could improve their experience with Xero 🤝

Hi community, we acknowledge the strong feelings in this idea and why you need a feature to flag bills directly within Xero. We really appreciate all your feedback and the detailed explanations of how this would help streamline your accounts payable.
We are dedicated to providing a solution for this over the longer term, but this will take some time requiring changes that sit beneath the face of bills.
In lieu of a direct feature for this we wanted to highlight some of the options discussed by the community here:
- Add a note to the bill: A detailed note on the bill itself can serve as a clear internal reminder of the dispute.
- Utilise tracking categories: Creating a specific tracking category like "Disputed Bills" can help you filter and report on these items.
- Adjust the due date: Temporarily extending the due date can prevent accidental payment while the dispute is…

Hi community, thanks for continuing to engage, and sharing your needs in adding more layers to your chart of accounts structure.
We know especially for some of our US customers that this can sometimes be a show stopper in using of Xero.
Right now, we do have a product team that have begun exploring the efforts that'd be required to implement a change of this nature - while we can't commit to any development at this point we'll share any progression with you all here. Thanks

Hi Heiko, even if you were to hide the bank account from the dashboard, if the user has permissions that enable them to access bank accounts they would be able to view this information somewhere else.
It sounds like you'd be interested in the idea across here asking for the ability to restrict access to bank accounts. Would this be correct?
If so, I'll merge to keep this feedback altogether.

Thanks for sharing this idea.
We can see the value in having the approver’s name visible in the Bills to pay view so it’s easier to identify who approved a bill without needing to open it.
We’re moving this idea to Gaining Support while we gauge interest from the community and better understand how often this would help customers managing bill approvals in Xero.
If this would improve your workflow, please keep voting and add any extra detail about how you’d use it day to day. That feedback helps us understand the need and shape future improvements.

Thanks for sharing this idea. We understand the request for a notes or memos feature when reviewing bills awaiting approval. Having information visible from the approval list could make it easier to understand the context behind a bill delayed approval.
We've updated the status to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking community interest.

Hi community, thanks for sharing with us on this idea. It would be good to get further insight into why the user would not be invited into the Xero organisation if they are a part of the approval process.
While we don't have plans for developing a share link on bills like invoices at this stage, an option for some right now could be to export bills from your organisation which could be provided to the right person in a CSV format.

Hi team, we appreciate the interest in being able to pin contact notes so these show more prominently.
Right now, as you may be aware there is a Notes field (separate to the Files & Notes on a contact s record). This is within the Contact Information section when adding or editing contact details.
Information you enter here will be shown on the Contact main page to the right side of the screen and can be edited as needed
Being open we don't have plans for enabling the ability to pin a note on a contact at present but will continue to track the interest in this through the community. Thanks

Hi community, we appreciate your continued feedback on having different default email addresses for various transaction types in Xero contacts, and the manual steps involved to ensure you're communicating with the right person for different purposes.
Currently, one way of managing this in Xero would be to include every additional person on a contact record in emails, and then removing those that aren't required when sending each transaction. However we totally get this isn't the ideal solution.
While being able to set different email addresses for differing transaction types is something we want to address longer term, like the idea for multiple addresses work for this feature requires cross-collaboration between teams in order to achieve.
Once the multiple addresses feature is live this is something we'll be able to consider more closely and provide further updates on.
We do regularly review all ideas here, and your input is vital. We'll…

Attention/Telephone Book Dropdown for Contacts
It would be very useful if Xero included an Attention/Telephone Book feature within Purchase orders
The idea is to have a dropdown list of contact persons as Each Purchase order doesn't necessarily go to the same person in the company. Each contact person would have their own telephone and mobile number stored in the system. When creating purchase orders, users could simply select the appropriate contact person from the dropdown, and their details would automatically populate the Attention field.
