Thanks so much for all your support and input on this idea, everyone.

We understand how helpful it’d be to have a credit limit field for suppliers in Xero, and how it could help manage cash flow and stay within agreed limits with your key suppliers.

A good workaround shared here, is to use the Notes field in the supplier's contact record to manually track their credit limit. While this doesn't automatically stop you from exceeding the limit, it's a visible reminder for your team. Additionally, regularly running the Aged Payables Summary or Detail report can help you keep an eye on what you owe and when it's due.

We know there’s a desire for this functionality, however we want to be transparent that we don’t have any plans for this in the near term, and will move this to Not in pipeline.

The idea will remain open for votes…

Many businesses need to closely monitor credit limits and agreed exposure thresholds set by their key suppliers to manage cash flow effectively, avoid shipment holds, and satisfy standard audit/internal control requirements. This would be super handy to have!

Hi everyone, thank you for sharing how the current tracking limits impact your reporting and tracking of different aspects of your business and processes. We know this is an important capability.

We’re exploring how we might tackle the needs in this idea and enhance Tracking Categories for the future.

While we can't commit to developments at this stage, we want you to know we hear the support and feedback from our community on this.

We’ll provide another update as the direction for this feature becomes clearer.

Hi team, we appreciate the interest here especially with upcoming Payday Super. I'd like to share that notifications and prompts are being developed with some of the changes we're working on, and achieve what's being asked here.

I'll round back when this is live and confirm what these look like to help in your processing of Superannuation here.

Thanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you.

In Classic Invoicing, there was a history and notes link between the quote and the invoice when the invoice was copied from the quote.

At the moment, that same history link isn’t available for quotes copied to invoices in the newer experience. We understand how helpful that audit trail is, especially when you need a clear record between the two transactions, so this is being moved to gaining support for the quote to invoice history workflow.

However, we are happy to say that this is still available in bills copied over from purchase orders , the link is still available above the history section

Thanks for sharing this idea. We can understand how allowing customers to accept selected line items within a quote could make it easier to manage proposals that include optional services or products, without needing to create and send revised quotes.

We've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking community interest. If this capability would improve your quoting workflow, add your vote and share the types of quotes or scenarios where line-by-line acceptance would be most useful.

Thanks for all your engagement here, everyone. We get how easy it can be to approve a bill too early, then have to delete and recreate it just to make a correction.

Within the new bills approval workflow we’re developing, an approver will be able to reject a bill with a reason, returning it to Draft for changes and resubmission.

An admin will also have the ability to return a stalled bill to Draft before adjusting the rule or resubmitting it.

We want to acknowledge feedback from users in this idea that are interested in moving an already approved bill back to a draft state, and we have a separate idea that we’d recommend joining for updates.

The bills approval flow work is in flight right now, and I’ll be back with news when this is released.

Hi Roger, thanks for the feedback on this idea. it’s clear that seeing the number of days overdue directly on the Send Statements screen would make it easier to prioritise follow-ups without interrupting your workflow.

At the moment, the Date and Due Date of each outstanding invoice are already displayed on the Send Statement screen, but having the actual days overdue visible would give immediate context and help you act faster when sending statements.

We have now move this idea to Gaining Support, which means it’s open for votes and comments. Hearing from the community will help our product teams understand how much value this visibility would add across different workflows.
