Hi everyone, we know this remains a highly important request, and we appreciate the volume of detail you’ve shared around billing, delivery and contact management workflows in this idea.
As shared in our last update - our team has been progressing the next phase of work needed to bring this more meaningfully into invoicing.
We know many of you are looking for clearer timing, and while I’m not able to confirm a release date at this stage, I do want to reassure you this remains an active area of work for our product teams.
We’ll continue to return here with further updates as we move through the next stages. Thanks again for your patience and for continuing to share the workflows that make this so important.

A/R A/P, you've obviously suffered pain longer than us... We migrated from Sage 50 recently. Okay, we had mostly on prem with an unreliable cloud sync. However, all is forgiven Sage!
Sage is so much more capable than Xero, multiple customer delivery addresses, you can part invoice and allocate deliveries easily. Dispute invoices easily. Easier reporting. (could be my lack of Xero knoledge)
If I had the time, and acknowledged there could be IP issues with features. I could make Xero absolutely amazing.
No disrespect to hairdressers, independent retail shops and all small amazing businesses that keep our economy thriving. Xero is for that industry.
As a business owner I take responsibility. Stuck with Xero for now, not doing a finance migration again any time soon!
Xero, Kelly, just get the quote and invoice delivery addresses sorted, you just have to have the option of multiple addresses and to display on the document. It's basic as ABC, 123...

Any update, Kelly Munro? I/we understand you cannot commit to a date. However, there must be a PM , software delivery lead or developer that can give us an estimate.

Xero is so behind on many features and would just expect simple things like this to be there. We have the need to part invoice customers from a quote or we use it as a "Sales Order" We might ship part of an order and the rest may not be in stock and on back order. We also like others have multi year contracts and so have to invoice monthly or annually.
This should be a simple feature to add!

Hi community, we appreciate the comments about your needs in this idea.
We get the importance of being able to set a delivery address for an individual invoice and have that address remain tied to that invoice, without overwriting the delivery details on past invoices or changing the default details for the contact.
With a clear understanding of the risks in altering historical invoice delivery details and delving into the wide range of workflows this feature would support, we want you to know this is something we’re looking to solve.
We have a larger project around being able to support multiple addresses per contact in invoicing, and as part of this we’ll be enabling the ability to update delivery address details on an invoice-by-invoice basis.
There are few steps for us to get through before we can deliver and get this in your hands but I’ll be sure to share…

Thanks for raising this suggestion, Dave. An option to restore deleted quotes could help users recover accidental deletions without creating a replacement quote.

Appreciate the feedback and interest through the idea here. Being open this isn't something we have plans for at this stage. Current focus is on new invoicing and improving the experience for our users as we edge closer to the retirement of classic invoicing.
We'll continue to keep our eyes on all sales flow ideas in the forums here and will let you know if there's any updates to share on this idea.

Hi team, in the aim of transparency we have split this idea out from the original one here so we can get a better understanding of the interest for this change in each area of Xero.
Being quite different features within Xero it's not likely that a change in one would be reflected in the other area at the same time. We will continue to track interest in removing quotes from the all list here and share if there are any updates.

This is a simple feature. We use quotes as Sales Order confirmations and have the need to add the delivery address. It makes no sense to change the contact every time or add the delivery to the instructions every time.

Hi team, we appreciate the feedback here and how an easier method of sending Remittance would be useful for some users.
While this isn't in the direct pipeline just yet we're staying close to the ideas around this in the forums here and will be sure to notify you of any progress.

This is a pretty basic feature and surprised it is no in Xero, we could have 30+ invoices in from one supplier a month. Remitting and paying those one by one just makes no sense...

We used Sage for 30 odd years and it was a good solution. The challenge we found and it could be a legacy issue was that the on premise version syncing with the Cloud/Sage Drive just started causing us problems and data getting out of sync. It wasn't true "cloud". The other reason is we've implemented a quoting tool which didn't integrate with Sage easily and it did with Xero.
Sage 50 full cloud is on the way I am told but we couldn't wait. In hindsight maybe we should have and we have paid for a developer to create an API integration to the SITC quote solution we are rolling out.
We underestimated functionality or the lack of it should I say in Xero.
