Financial Statements | Schedule in Notes - Ability to change column headers
I would like to put fixed asset categories (plant and machinery, motor vehicles etc) as the columns, and have Cost, Depreciation, NBV - bfwds and cfwds etc in the rows underneath. See attached.
As far as I was aware it was standard to have the fixed asset note in this format so was surprised this was not already a functionality,

Tax - Ability to calculate and report tax for multiple jurisdictions
GST - where an entity trades in different tax jurisdictions, allow the file to create the ability to manage GST for different countries (different GST codes) in separate GST accounts and not all consolidated into one GST account.
eg if an entity trades in Australia and New Zealand, you can have an Australian GST account and a NZ GST account to make reconciliation and completion of BAS easier.15 votes -
Bills - Allow the ability to enter .01 instead of having to enter 0.01 in Total field
Fix the Bill Total field to allow regular number input ability.
Specifically, allow the ability to enter .01 instead of having to enter 0.01 which is very unnatural. So, disable/remove the logic that requires the Bill Total entered to start with a number.
Use Case
- We get numerous invoices with a $0.01 total where the product may be an allocation or new line incentive. I constantly get a Bill Total mismatch because I enter the Bill Total as .01 which results in $1.00 bill total instead of the expected $0.01 bill total.
Secondary to this primary fix - Allow…

AU Payroll - Duplicate pay items
Function to duplicate a pay rate category.
For example, we have 1st, 2nd and 3yr apprentices, all on different base rates of pay, plus they also have different rates of pay for day shift, night shift, working on site, working in the workshop etc. XERO doesnt allow me to only calculate super on ordinary hours when i have so many different pay categories as it cant determine just 'ordinary hours"... so for each of those rates i need to have sub categories.... Onsite day shift - OTE and Onsite day shift - ADDITIONAL HOURS Onsite night shift - OTE and…1 vote -

Bank Reconciliation | Stripe - Add an option to set 'only match' with the reference
We integrate with Stripe for payments and we reconcile our Stripe payments every day to invoices that we generate automatically via a script. On average, we reconcile 50 to 100 invoices each day to Stripe payments. The issue we have with Xero is that the Xero algorithm looks at the amount, the name (customer), OR reference (invoice, order, etc) to match payments with invoices. Like many businesses, our sales price is the same across many accounts and we sell many of the same products over and over to the same customers so this renders the Xero algorithm useless for an…

Online Invoice | stripe - Allow customer to save their card on file when making payment
I'm invoicing through Xero and I want to allow customers to save their card on file in my stripe account when they pay an invoice.
This way, we can bill them again in the next cycle. We deal with metered pricing, so the value of the invoice is different each month based on usage.

Contract management
Create a full document management suit that links into invoicing including agreed increases reminders and renewals. Look at a integrated solution with online signing ability like Videosign: https://www.videosign.co.uk/
7 votesAppreciate the idea, Stephen. Being quite honest this isn't something we're looking to expand to anytime soon.
That said always good to track the interest and get a sense of this interest in this specifically.
However, in the meantime I'd highly encourage exploring connections through our Xero App store.

Bank Rules - Mix 'Any' and 'All' rules
When setting up bank rules there are times when the flexibility of a string search is great and ANY should be applied, but some times a amount limit is needed to distinguish different nature of the spend. EG small spend at a service station might be a drawing rather than a fuel item.

UK Payroll: Include opted-out employees in PAPDIS pension file
PAPDIS Pension reports for submission should include ALL employees not just those who have not opted out as the pension provider (creative) I submit to need all the information as they do the pension assessment on everyone every month. I have to manually edit the csv downloaded every month which can lead to mistakes.

Account transaction report - Add YTD balance column
It would be so helpful to have a YTD column in the account transactions report. I run this report monthly for certain sales accounts to give to our marketing department and need the monthly amount and also the year to date amount however this report only allows me to show the period selected. This means I have to run 2 reports, one showing the monthly account transaction total and then one showing the year to date account transaction totals which I then combine in excel. Would also be good if there was a comparison to budget column.

Projects - Option to automatically complete once project invoiced
A streamlined way, or option, to automatically complete projects once they are invoiced.
4 votesWould still need to consider an optional trigger here as different businesses process projects in different ways.
Appreciate the efficiency play and while this isn't something we have plans for atm, we'll track the interest of this here.

Sales invoice - Edit tax rates without removing payment
It would be great if we could edit the tax rate without reversing the payment allocation. Sometimes, when completing the VAT reconciliation before sending to HMRC, I spot errors in tax rates and I can't edit it without reversing the payment allocation. You can edit the account it is posted to but not the tax rate.

Reconcile - Create transaction without generating a new contact
Currently a new supplier is created in your contact list every time a transaction is made which results in too many contacts considering there could be very small items of spend at multiple stores on card etc. I only want to see key repeating suppliers in my contact list.
14 votesHi team, the Payable Invoice reports will generally help you zone into your top repeating suppliers and better view activity.
As suggested, if multiple contacts of a similar nature are being created merge may also help you manage these in your contacts list.
It'd be good to understand if there are other needs that this idea would help you with here - please do share any detail.

Reconciliation | Cash coding "Split" - Option to Save and Reconcile
It would be great once you have split a transaction that rather than just clicking on save and being returned to the Cash coding screen to click on reconcile, than you could have an option to click Save & Reconcile so that the transaction is coded and reconciled all in the one screen and then it returns you to your Cash coding screen
