  1. Why does the Supplier ABN not appear on the online invoice view? We now have to download the invoice as a PDF to see the ABN. This was not an issue with the Classic view.

  2. Report dates
    On financial reports. Instead of last financial year of this financial year wouldn’t it be better to have the years as the selection ie 2024/25 2023/24 2022/23. it will be much quicker to select the year especially is going back further than the current year.

    Thanks for sharing here, Kerri. Understand why you'd find this helpful and we'll start to get a sense from others that'd like to see this here, too.

    I know it's a little different to what you're directly asking here, but perhaps comparison columns and saving as custom could help where you can run the report for multiple date ranges at once and view the comparison across each?

  3. Have a Report that shows all Quotes that have been accepted, but not invoiced. That shows any part invoices that have been raised. We frequently invoice a % upfront, % mid project and then % at the end.

  5. It could be a glitch or just how the reports work, but Voided Invoices that were voided with a currency value in them, appear on the Receivable Invoice Summary with that value. So Invoice INV-45831 was for £123.00 but was voided. You can now no longer edit that invoice and in this report it eternally has the value of £123.00.

    This is an issue as the data is downloaded to extrapolate many different analysis for sales data.

    A bad fix after the data has been downloaded is to try filter and take out the ££ and change the data after…

  6. Example we explain here is a 4 line Purchase Order in CSV format which, using the Bills To Pay Template, we are importing in my test Xero platform.
    Each line in the PO use a different Account Code from our Chart of Accounts.

    In brief, if we leave any of the Account Code fields empty the system does not seem to want to import the Supplier Contacts Purchasing Default Account settings.
    I have tried all versions of this import and the only one I can get to work is one where all the fields are completed.

My Idea: Somewhere to enter a prepaid annual or longterm expense (ie Insurance) that can first go into a Prepaid Expenses asset account and then set to either expense at regular intervals until "used up" or able to manually expense as periods come to a close. This manager would help keep track of all prepaid expenses in one place and would keep a running balance for each item. Viewing options would include being able to filter/sort by item (ie 2023 Insurance Premium), or by type (ie software subscriptions) or by expense account (ie Insurance Expense).

  9. Layout of invoices with subtotal breakdowns for various VAT rates. To be able to present multiple subtotal amounts before various types of VAT are applied to the invoice. I have included an altered pdf file as an example of what you would want to see on the invoice.

Under classic invoicing I can share invoices across the Xero network between Xero entities from different countries (in my case, Australian company invoicing a USA company) Why can't this feature be available under the new invoice format (I don't see what eInvoicing actually has to do with it)

    First time I've seen Xero take a major step backwards (I now have to spend more time doing the same job... well done folks)

  11. Ive moved form Quickbooks to Xero (I guess this is common).
    Xero does not accept bank feeds from Macquarie Banks - Offset Accounts.
    It's very frustrating to manually have to import bank statements every month and I would love if they could please collaborate so it can occurs. It makes it tedious for my business and I lose hours trying to do it every time.

  12. There is nowhere to report missing features and bugs apart from this forum, which is more for ideas.
    I have found it difficult to find a place to report an issue quickly.
    For new invoicing the list of missing features and bugs should be reported so we can see what has already been picked up and what is being worked on and fixed.

    HI Jill, appreciate you posting here, not knowing where else to go.

    For something that appears to not be working as it should or where you're having performance issues in Xero - these are best to raise with our specialists at Xero Support where we have tools to investigate, triage any issues and escalate with our team if needed.

    When it comes to new invoicing we've communicated a lot of the changes and what's coming up through our Xero central page here. Otherwise, you'll also find many ideas for changes across product ideas here that I'd recommend joining for updates where you're interested. Searching 'New invoicing' on the main page of the site should help you find a list of the different features.

  13. I would like to add information such as the date their bank details were changed on Xero and whether independent verification of the new details has been done (and how). This is becoming more important as the number of phishing invoices increases. If possible, the capability to attach a relevant document (eg notification from supplier of bank change) but if not possible, then a decent character length text field (as a comparison, the current Reference field is way too short and doesn't allow puctuation).

  15. I would like to be able to edit an entered transaction, i.e., transfer, payment, etc. When I am reconciling, some transactions are posted on the following month, but they were entered at the end of the prior month this creates a problem when reconciling. All I need to do is edit the date and change it, but I have to remove and redo the transaction. This is extremely time-consuming.

    Also, could we change the bank account when we enter the transaction in the wrong registry instead of removing and redoing it?

    I work in an NPO and we have a very complex system, we have 4 departments and in our department we work on many different projects which run over different year periods. we also have donors that donate to more than one project with donations overlapping financial year periods.

    we have created two tracking categories, Projects and Donors. Under each category there is multiple options, For example Marketing team - school project and marketing team University project.

    Hi Janilyn, appreciate it's not an option when going through the copy to process. However, once the invoice is created you can click the 'x' next to the contacts name to remove and type the correct customers name.

    If the previous contact has only had purchase transactions entered for them, once you've remove them from the invoice they should not be shown in the customers list in your organisation.

  18. Chart of Accounts - the ledger codes (a) Entertainment-100% business and (b) Entertainment-0%. Can you change these categories? We accountants all know that the descriptions are misleading.

    Almost all (unqualified) bookkeepers use (a) for client entertainment and claim VAT. Subsequently, accountants blindly treat this category as business expenses, reducing the taxable profit. (i.e. wrongly deduct it for corporation tax purposes) I cannot tell you how many cases I've seen in the past few years.

    Please change the default categories to (a) Staff-only entertainment and (b) Client entertainment?

    Hi Kai, you can run the Payable Invoice Summary report which has the ability to include Planned Date as a column, or you can also choose to group by this field if you'd prefer - Does this achieve what you're in need of here?

  20. Hi, It would be great to see customers who exceeded their credit limits on the dashboard. We push sales invoices from third-party app therefore we don't see alerts if someone has no credit limit left. If we could see a list on the dashboard we could act immediately. Thanks
