  2. It would be nice if expenses could learn and assign a specific account automatically to expenses from a regular supplier.

    The process could be:
    1) I take a photo of a receipt
    2) The analyse feature reads the receipt and fills in the date, supplier and amount

    THE NEW BIT:
    3) Expeses realises this is a supplier I've analysed a receipt from recently and codes it to the account I coded it to last time

  3. I generate invoices from the Xero app. Quick and easy. I would like to generate a receipt from my iPhone app as well after a customer has paid. At present you can only do this via the website.

  4. Please add a setting option or a column for display details about "Account" in the table shown in "Bills to pay" instead of only showing "Ref" which the information of "Account" is important and moreover we don't need to waste time to entry "Ref" for checking.

  5. I would be good to be able to carry out data analysis of each nominal code and therefore group the account transactions by month with totals rather than by week which will ultimately tie back to the P&L. This would make it useful when carrying out data analysis from the P&L.

    Hi Kate, not sure I understand your ask here - is this within the Profit & Loss report, or is there another report you're running that you want to link back to the Profit & Loss report that is currently grouped on a weekly basis?

  7. Ability to send Suppliers a Unique Email that sends invoices directly to Bills to Pay, rather than them send them to our business email address and we forward via Dext Email as we are now, Saving time when multiple Suppliers send Invoices and we then have to forward them on,

  8. We need to be able to create a service docket via the Mobile app so that service crew can create and issue a service/delivery docket to customers when they are out doing the service. The packing slip option is not available apparently and, besides, its not the right name for what we do.

  9. It would be great to have a way of linking expenses on a project to an individual task so your invoices and quotes are much more streamlined and broken down into the tasks (especially when working on larger projects with many tasks and expenses)

    Something along the line of:
    when entering an estimated expense/expense into the project as well as having all the current tabs, having a another tab to 'assign to task' . When generating a quote/invoice you will then only have the task name and it will have combined the hours and materials listed.

  11. The new (as of July 2023) FedNow system is going to allow bill/account/request payments at a nominal fee in the United States. Are there any plans by Xero to add native support for this network?

  12. Include the payment dates and payments made when sending invoices to clients.
    Currently once the invoice is downloaded or sent to client, it shows the total amount paid, but not broken down by date as per the screen shot i have attached. Currently it only shows «InvoiceTotalNetPayments»

When sending invoices from Xero to Xero it doesn't attach the actual invoice in the draft bill as an attached so we don't have this invoice for record keeping purposes and can't even see if there's VAT or No VAT charged on the invoice as it is not attached to the bill. This needs to be added.

  14. The option to select up to four specific dates per year to generate invoices. The every 3 month option doesn't allow for office closure periods during holiday breaks and at least one of every 4 invoices per year is at an inopportune time.

  15. Offer First-In-First-Out (FIFO) accounting within Tracked Inventory as an option.

    Purpose: Established US Companies tend to use FIFO for inventory valuation, so Xero would widen its scope of clients by offering the option. Plus, the option adoption would make reporting of its current US clients so much more straightforward.

Invoices that are automatically deducted from your bank account will be shown as awaiting payment as long as they are not paid, but should be clearly distinguishable from invoices that you still need to pay, i.e. take action on. This way you have an accurate overview of your account balance, expected payments, and actions you need to take.

  17. Invoices cannot be sent multiple times by e-invoicing - any invoice that was sent by e-invoicing can only be sent again after that by email. This is fine; that ensures that my customers don't have a billion copies of the same invoice in their drafts.

    However, this is also true of invoices where sending by e-invoicing failed and the customer has not received the invoice at all.

    I would like the ability to send by e-invoice to reset when the original attempt fails, because the only workaround I've found involves deleting and recreating the invoice with a new invoice number…

  19. It would be great to be able to choose which headings are visible on the default invoices view. There are some customisable reports which allow you to run a report with your preferred view. But for others such as repeating invoices there are no options.

    Our company has different teams, so for these it would be good to customise the column headers, to show the contact groups the client belongs to. This would allow us to forecast what upcoming invoices are due for each team, so that they can allocate resources accordingly.

  20. Listing Time Entries in Chronological Order in Invoicing for Projects.

    As raised in support case CX0012531595 - I use projects to create invoices for clients and show time entries for all tasks - the problem is that the draft invoice seems to put all the entries in random order rather than a date order - there is no way to sort by date so that it reads chronologically for the client. Interestingly you can run a report to list entries by date, so that functionality exists in the platform but it needs to be brought into invoicing. I have seen…
