  1. I would find it really helpful to be able to see the amount of the invoice and the 'overpayment' on the Bills and the Sales Invoices screens after they have been 'matched. Currently the amount for both shows as zero.

  2. Clients can view and download invoice attachments after paying the invoice. Lawyers, accountants, engineers, architects, can benefit from automatically being paid for their reports, documents etc before clients can get access to them.

  3. When searching in reports for Xero Projects, the facility to enter 100-150 characters would allow us to do a full search, instead of the approx 50 characters it currently allows.

  4. We sometimes get Credit Notes which change the price of the items. We don't want to credit the whole item, simply want to adjust the price but Xero doesn't seem to have a straightforward option for this.

  6. I work a lot with quotes and 99% of the time I am interested only in Draft quotes. So I select "Draft" but everytime I select a quote to change it, after I close a change quote screen and I return to the list of quotes, the list is shown again with "All" quotes. Why doesn't Xero keep the selection criteria to re-show the list? I literally have to re-select "draft" hundreds of time per day. It doesn't make sense to me... The same applies to the search criteria in the top part of the screen. If I want to…

  7. When you create a new transaction you have 2 fields which identify the nature of the transaction - "Description" and "Details".

    I find myself constantly copying one to the other. It would be really useful if Xero could auto-copy description across to details, and if you don't want it the same you can overtype the details.

    Having content in both fields helps identify the item, and usually the same content will do.

    Thanks sharing with us here, Haider. Not something that we have plans for extending the integration for at present, but we'll start tracking the support in this here and let you know if there's any plans for change. 

  9. When sending an invoice from a mobile device, remove the “send me a copy” button, or at least let us make a one time adjustment to stop having to turn it off every single time.

  10. As you can see in the attached pictures, the "New bill - screenshot 1" shows the information to key in when we want to create the bill. As we have many expenses in different foreign currencies, we need to add the currency unit to the bill. We have to open "Optional details" to add, as in the picture "New bill - adding currency".

    It would be great if we could set the field "Currency" to be mandatory, so this field is always on the main screen and we don't have to open the "Optional detail" every time we create the…

    • Dedicated email address to submit supplier quotes to Xero (like the email used for bills)
    • Once in Xero can create the estimate, add mark up etc and assign to a particular project

    This would be a huge time saving feature for me to be able to quickly add supplier quotes for a variety of different projects on the go at once and a faster creation time for a quote. At the moment this is a laboriously time consuming process.

  12. When generating a task based invoice automatically by clicking on 'time and expenses' I really need the ability to automatically have the item self populate or asigned to the task. At the moment as soon as we manually select an 'item' for the task the other fields disappear (description, qty, unit price) rendering the invoice useless and removing any time savings from the feature. Not having this feature really slows down our invoicing process big time!

    Hi Hermione, 2 distinct ideas in the one here - I've adjusted the title of your idea to reflect your first and welcome you to start another for each other idea you have. 

    Currently there is the option to apply discounts at a customer or inventory item level. Once set this discount will be applied each time they're used in your sales invoices - This might help streamline your discounts when working in Xero. 

    Keeping each thread to one idea means others in community clearly understand what they're supporting as well as when sharing the support back with our teams here at Xero. 

  14. Option to Auto Fill Account, Tax Rate, Sales person for all rows. It gets quite time consuming to manually add for each line (even if it is a button at the top of the fields allowing auto fill of all, that would greatly help)

  15. In Barbados, we must annually provide a Goods and Services report to the Barbados Revenue Authority. This is similar to the US 1099 vendor reporting requirements. How can we achieve this using Xero? It is a requirement for all of my clients but more importantly. In Canada this a T4A Statement of Pension, Retirement, Annuity, and Other Income.

    The easy solution is adding the Tax ID as a field in the Payable Invoice Detail & Summary reports. Once you summarize by contact to produces the required information, regardless of tax jurisdiction.

  16. Although a prepayment in a receive money transaction is given an invoice number this is a reference, NOT an actual invoice.

    A prepayment will show as outstanding until it is allocated to an invoice or refunded. This means that you have to go the "create invoice" route.

    It would save time to be able to create an invoice for a receive money transaction that will then be automatically reconciled to the money received and reflect on the customer statement. This is especially useful for incidental monies received eg concert tickets, fun day tickets etc

  18. It would be nice to have a simple option to show any report that is run by month. So for example if you run a P&L report for 1st of Jan to 30 June at the moment you get a total for the period by default. Once the time frame is selected an option to then see the time frame by month would be helpful

  19. When printing newly created checks it would be nice to have the ability to easily select all for just those new checks by marking all previously printed checks as having already been printed instead of either having to check the box next to each check you want to print or by doing a search by date (if you print checks once daily) to be able to then select all to print.
