SUPER NON Regulated Super Fund Set Up - There are many Non Regulated Super funds out there and Xero only provides a list of Regulated Super Fund name to choose/ set up under payroll settings so when an employee has a NON Regulated Super Fund you can not set up or choose in the Employee card. The current work around is to Choose another Super Fund name (fraught with danger) in the Employee card then make manual payments. Making manual payments is not an issue however, choosing another Super fund name that is not correct is not an appropriate work…

  2. My small business client came up the idea that when we download the aba file for our payroll, it would be great to have the option to pay total PAYGW & super liabilities into a nominated bank account.
    This sets aside the money ready for the BAS'es, IAS'es and super.

  3. Ability to record an annual shutdown leave.

  4. Appologies in advance for my frustration.

    Are Xero considering providing a Gender Equity report in the future?
    I raised a case for our HR Dept last year and the answer from Xero was no.

    If any community member has any short cuts on gathering this info, please respond to this post.

    I am wasting so many hours trying to gather the required data from your available reports.

    In April I exported Employee contact details to export & sort.
    This morning I have been exporting Renumeration data and then sorting deleting non date range required emplyees. Due to no date range…

  6. The ability to export the auto enrolment pension report and also to "hide" deep archived employees. I check this report mid month and send a list to HR as a sanity check for those employees not yet enrolled/non eligible but now have to scroll through "all" employees past and present to get the current information. Not very user friendly. Even an export option with some way of then filtering whether the employee is current would be useful.

  7. As an approver of timesheets i see there are couple of issues which can make the process water tight.

    1.Ability to see approved time sheets (siimilar to leaves). Currently once the timesheet is approved for an individual there is no way to check what has been approved

    2.Ability to run a report for all employees that have been approved or alternatively ability to allow access to certain reports to the approver.

  9. Currently the PPL pay item can only be allocated to an expense account.

    This is not in line with the Australian Accounting Standard.

    Can Xero update the ability to allocate to a liability account, please?

  10. Please can you send the name of the 'leave approver' to Finlerts LeaveCal integrated app. We get leave approval email notifications via their Xero add on and it would be really helpful to know the name of the person that approved a staff members leave application.
    There has been cases of team leaders with leave approval permissions authorising their own leave so this would help us monitor these situations.

  11. Under the employees deductions sections during payroll, if one has salary sacrifice, child support, and any other deductions, you have to process the pay run initially. And then you would have to manually do a separate payment to a payee

    Is it possible to have a payee that can be linked to the payroll deductions. Meaning when you run your payroll, the deductions will go against the payee and when the payroll aba file is created, the payee will be included in that aba file

  12. Turn off the mileage claims option in the Expense Settings .. currently one cannot do this ... we have never used this option, and it's a pain when we use the Xero expenses app as it adds another layer to inputting an expense.

  14. I want to be able to archive or delete old, previously processed timesheets. In the timesheets section, processed timesheets from 2018 continually rise to the top and it is annoying and time consuming to always change the sorting order to find the most recent, or filter via a start date. This is all annoying. I want to remove old or previously processed timesheets from this list, or at the very least, have recent timesheets/those waiting to be processed automatically listed at the top.

  15. Hello,

    I wanted to take a moment to share a suggestion that I believe could significantly simplify our payroll process. It involves the implementation of a bulk upload feature, which would allow us to handle payroll data in a more efficient manner. We will need a template that contains essential details for each employee. These details may include the employee's name, rate of salary, and various pay items relevant to their compensation. This would reduce the time and effort invested in processing payroll.

  16. The witholding variation should be on top of the existing PAYG calculation not overrides it, as it currently does. If an employee completes a MyGov employee Tax Form and notes they want an additional % amount variation withheld - it should be on top of their existing PAYG tax, not instead of it. There is no other option to put in a percentage amount in XERO.

    Or allow the upward variation amount to be a percentage amount - not just a fixed amount.

    The screenshot attached shows this employee should be paying tax on the full amount (no threshold claimed)…

  17. It would be great for those Approving Leave, to also be able to View the Leave Calendar that is currently available to Payroll Admin users in the Overview Window. Those approving leave need to know who else is on leave for the requested period, which we currently replicate in our Email Calendars, however it would be great to take this step out, it will reduce time and eliminate errors.

  18. I have multiple 2018 bills to pay generated from the US Xero Payroll feature that I can not delete nor apply credit memos to. Those were always "locked" bills. I've been trying to void or zero out these bills for years and apparently, there is no way to actually do this. I've spent hours with customer support to no avail. Please put something in place to allow users/me to accomplish this task. My AP bills are messy and my cash basis balance sheet is messy. Journal entries are not a solution as the bills will never go away using this…

  19. I need to be able to set up more than one pay rate for staff, remembering to change pay rates on payslips does not work.

    Option required so that when setting up employees you can put more than one rate on the start up section, was able to do this when I worked for an organisation so hoping this can be implemented on zero.

  20. Can we PLEASE have a separate Lock Date for Payroll. I have had many incidents where I have prepared an Activity Statement ( PAYG), and the client reverts a pay run to draft, makes a change AFTER THE ENDOF MONTH AND IAS CREATION, and then we have to re-calculate and re-submit IAS for signature.

    The lock date is unable to be added as the ACCOUNTS are still being reconciled, but the payroll is complete.

    This will also be extremely helpful at EOFY.
