Timesheets - Increase number of characters on Earnings rates
Timesheet - Earnings Rate viewing space needs increasing
Why is the space so small to view the earing rate selected, most earning rates are much longer than the space provided, which is creating issues to clarify if the rate selected is correct. And creating additional time required to check the correct rate has been entered or pulled through from scheduling software.
Please widen this space, there is plenty of room as there is excess room in the Tracking area or the page actually widened.2 votes -

UK Payroll - Option for employees to add static text when adding timesheets
I would like to know if there is ever going to be an update to Xero me timesheets to allow employees to enter words instead of regular hours in the description box eg. I am a house builder and have about 6 different sites on the go at the same time and I would like to be able to allocate my employees time to which house they were working on so that I can then charge the customer the correct fee. My employees get different rates of pay so not easy to set up using timesheet tracking.

Xero Me | Expenses - Add stops for Mileage Reimbursement
Add the ability to add stops to mileage reimbursement. This way a person can add a round trip or add stops between the round trip to collect all mileage for the 1 trip.
12 votesThanks for the idea and adding your interest here, everyone. In lieu of a direct feature to accommodate this atm, you may find duplicating the claim to record each part of a trip useful in cutting down the data entry. We'll let you know if there's any change planned here.

AU Payroll - Ability to calculate Super accruals for U18s working less than 30hrs/wk
Currently, Xero lists a super accrual for employees under the age of 18 when they earn over $450/mth. However, it doesn't take into account how many hours that employee works per week. Under 18s are not eligible to be paid super unless they work over 30 hours per week (even if they earn over $450/mth), but Xero doesn't recognise this. Unfortunately this shows up a s liability for the employer, even though a liability doesn't exist. I know that it can be worked around in the pay run, but it just means extra work for the payroll admin - particularly…

AU Payroll: Restrict which earnings rate an employee can select in timesheets
Ability to restrict which pay items an employee can view in Xero Me to only those that apply to that employee. Without this ability employees sometimes choose pay items that do not apply to them. Most often this is picked up at the authorisation stage but why allow the possibility for error in the first place.

Payroll - Add or edit breaks in timesheets
There is no functionality to retroactively add or edit break times into an employees submitted timesheet. It would be good to be able to edit or add a break time on the timesheet if they forget before approving it.

Payroll - Pay PAYE automatically with Wages on payday
When I pull the Bank Batch file to pay Wages, I would like the amount for PAYE and any other Taxes or transferred deductions to be paid out on the day with the Payroll. This removed it from the business immediatley and makes sure payment is always up to date.

UK Payroll - Automatically include bank holidays and annual leave on Timesheets
Why can't Xero make editing a timesheet easier by automatically showing bank holidays and any days off that have been entered as holiday?
If the timesheet showed bank holidays or days where time-off has been allocated in a different colour or with an asterisk by the date then checking timesheets against time-cards would be much more straight forward.

AU Payroll - Add expire date for Time Off in Lieu
According to different awards Time off in Lieu is suppose to expire in 6 months time if not used. Currently you can only bank and take Time off in Lieu. It would be great if Xero could automatically expire hours not used as this is a common practice in many employee Awards.

AU Payroll - Option to add ETP Type D
We have had the unfortunate event of an employee pass away whilst still employed.
I would like to suggest that Xero make it easier for companies to be able to process a death benefit payment (ETP - type D) within the system rather than having to process this manually and then having to do journal entries for the system to balance correctly. And to then have to process paper copies of PAYG payment summaries to report this to the ATO.

When multiple days are requested the ability to adjust the hours for leave application so it matches the ordinary hours for particularly days.

Xero Me | Timesheets - Ability to choose different earnings rate
Before we had start/stop times, employees were able to add different pay rates (ie Saturday Penalty Rate). It would be excellent if this option could be included with the start/stop time version in Xero Me.

Automate pay run
I have one employee that is paid the same amount every week, it would be great if I could set the pay run to post and file itself every week until further notice. I have an automatic bank payment set up so this would make it so easy - and more importantly it doesn't rely on me remembering.

Pay Run - Create Spend Money transactions
When posting a pay run, Xero should automatically create spend money transactions with all relevant details and links to the pay run.
Currently, this is done manually by creating spend money transactions for each transaction and there is no link to the payslip.
This will save a lot of time in reconciling a pay run and improve the connectivity within Xero.
