  1. Would it be possible to create a contact who is a "sub contact" of an existing contact. For example we perform work for a strata management company. Every invoice is made out to [name of strata company] but the contact details, email address and physical address are all the same - that of the management company. I would love to create [strata management company] as the main contact with all the strata "divisions" they manage below them without having to create a new contact for every single new building. What are my chances?

    Appreciate where you're coming from with this idea, Kirsty. 

    Right now you could create a Contact Group, and have each related contact assigned to that contact group. Get what you're saying with the efficiency when having most of the same details - for now perhaps importing via csv would help create these in less time. 

    We also have an idea for the ability to copy a contact, and another for contact group statements that you might like to join and follow. 

    We'll start to get a feel of the interest for this type of feature here, and I'll let you know if there's any change planned.

  3. Sending a statement with additional notes in the email. Is there a way to keep record of the additional notes. At the moment you only see under the contact's history and notes that a statement has been sent, but there is no record of the notes that was sent with the statement

  5. When using the new Check box. 'Use as billing address'. If you type in the address afterwards and edit the address. It deletes the the selected checkbox. 'use as billing address'

    Just frustrating as you have to go back in and recheck.

  6. I would like to have having ability to quickly see the outstanding amount in the currency it was originally invoiced (like USD or EUR) directly from contacts dashboard, without having to navigate through detailed reports and apply multiple filters. This would save a lot of time.

  7. Make archiving and restoring contacts more intuitive and user-friendly.

    Option for archiving contacts should be select from drop-down menu or click on "the 3 dots" and select.

    Having to find an historical invoice allocated to an archived contact in order to restore them is super-unhelpful and counterintuitive. MUCH better to include archived contacts in Contacts options and include a "Restore" option via "press and hold", drop-down or the 3 dots.

    Hi Bradley, have you tried archiving and restoring contacts from the Contacts list? From here simply select the contact/s you'd like to archive and you'll see the option at the top of the list turn blue for you to click.

    When you'd like to restore a contact you'll find the Archive tab as an option from this same screen, where you can click on the contact to open it's record and there is a blue Restore option in the top right.

  8. To be able to add more than 5 email addresses in a client so that you can email the invoice out to more that 5 people at a time.

  9. We have dozens of parent companies with underlying subsidiaries who place separate orders for separate locations, all under the parent company's credit line/name. These all split into different contacts in Xero when they come in from our order processing system. We need Xero to support hierarchies/parent-child relationships/nested orders, so that all purchases can be aggregated to the parent company, both for tracking overall credit use and for sending consolidated statements that include all purchases from all "children". We work with BigCommerce who has a BundleB2B feature that allows these kind of parent-child hierarchies on the client-facing side, but we can't…

  10. eInvoice option should be able to be set in a clients contact card much like the Xero to Xero network key or as an option where these options are when emailing the invoice.
    Include files as attachments
    Include PDF attachment
    Send me a copy (Email Address)
    I feel that the new changes have made things slower for Clients and bookkeeper's
    Some of the updates are not as straight forward.

  11. I would like to add information such as the date their bank details were changed on Xero and whether independent verification of the new details has been done (and how). This is becoming more important as the number of phishing invoices increases. If possible, the capability to attach a relevant document (eg notification from supplier of bank change) but if not possible, then a decent character length text field (as a comparison, the current Reference field is way too short and doesn't allow puctuation).

  12. When adding a contact, the "search address" works fine most of the time, but can take some time before new addresses are added to the search data base and require manual entry (usually cut and paste from Google Maps.) Could this feature not be linked with an API to the likes of Googles address infrastructure to utilise their rapidly adapting data base?

  14. DISABLE EMAIL SUGGESTIONS FROM XERO

    I WANT TO REMOVE THE ABILITY FOR INVOICES TO BE SENT TO INCORRECT CLIENTS BY INADVERTANTLY SELECTING ONE OF THE (MOSTLY OUTDATED) SUGGESTIONS FROM XERO.

  15. Noticed that the BRN can be filled in the "Business Registration Number" data field in Xero Contact, but how about the individual contact with an Identity Card or Passport number?

    Even we can fill the IC / passport number in the BRN field, but how to choose the ID type (whether it is IC No., Passport No., BRN, or Army No.)?

  16. Many of our Customer and Suppliers now insist we use their portal to submit queries statements remittance advices etc.
    It would be useful for there to be a portal element like the E mail contacts in the Contact record. If this could be visible and actionable from the header it would be nice so we can click it and go straight to their portal from the contact.

  17. Under the previous Contact view, there was a book icon to show if there was an attachment to a bill. Now there is an icon to allow copy bill to draft bill. I can't imagine any time I would use this, but value being able to see if a bill has an attachment. I have to open the bill now to find if there is an attachment or go back to the Purchases section and create a report there.

  18. A number of overseas entities, may be registered to charge GST to AU customers, particularly if they are selling digital services into AU. Many of these entities are registered with an ARN (ATO Reference Number), rather than an ABN.

    If registered with an ARN, they can charge GST, however the recipient of the service cannot claim the GST credits.

    For Xero users, it would be great to be able to include the ARN as part of the contact record - ideally in the ABN field, and potentially with a checkbox to indicate that this is an ARN instead of an…

  19. I would like to be able to see the "Contact Details" as a little box on the left side of the Customer Activity Page. See my example attached.

    I use the 'contact details: notes' section to add notes about some of our jobs, because the History/Notes section is useless. I would like to see the ability to move the customer tabs around and display what we want to see on the activity page.

  20. There are times I want to create several invoices within a group, but not the whole group. For example, in the Equine Lessons Group, there are contacts who take private lessons, group lessons, and/or homeschool lessons. Each contact may also be at a different skill level, therefore a different class. I would like to be able to select which contacts to invoice for Level 1 Homeschool Lesson, or for Level 3 Homeschool Lesson, or even Equine First Aid, depending on who, when , and what course is being taken.
