  1. Currently, Employee summary gives a a lone total only for the period entered. A report showing one line of detail for every payrun paid, would be very beneficial when processing government claims, or providing information to employees for Centrelink instead of the the cumbersome Activity report, or multiple payslips.

  4. I can email my receipts to Xero, when will Xero be integrating the same sort, file, and account application features that Hubdoc has so that I don't have to use Hubdoc at all?

    Hi Amanda and Sandy, I want to let you know that you can upload your document or invoice directly into Xero Files without using Hubdoc, and you can assign it from there - See more on our article

  5. I wonder if this is possible: After sending a sales invoice to a client there is nothing on Xero stopping me from editing it. I would like to see Xero put something in place whereby once a sales invoice is marked as sent, it should not be possible at all to edit it. If the user needs to edit it, they would need to issue a credit note and new invoice. Also, if the customer requires another copy of the sent invoice it should automatically be marked “Copy”. Is that possible?

    Hi Howard, not on an individual invoice basis, however it might be worth exploring if Lock Dates could be a good way to help prevent  changes to  

    invoices that have been entered to a specific date? 

    Lock dates are limited to certain roles in an org, which would help prevent users with roles outside of these from being able to make changes to transactions within the lock date range. 

  6. it would be ideal if you could have the ability to remove / delete costs in the main information tab in a quote. Ie: If you apply a template with a bunch of costs but realise you need to change it - it would be idea to be able to select multiple costs and just remove them from the quote rather than having to go into each individual cost and deletling.

  7. In the old version of Bank Reconciliation Summary report, the headers "Balance in Xero" and "Statement Balance" sitting with its balance amount in the same row.

    After updated to the new version, the report, https://reporting.xero.com/!bX2sj/v1/Run/1066 for example, the balance falls different row of its title. It doesn't make sense and this would make it complex because you are not able to use scripts or Vlookup to manage those report (if they are not align in the same row).

    Could you please consider
    1. moving the balance amount to the same row of its header, or
    2. Adding a description for…

  8. Sometimes an entity will de-register for GST because they are no longer required to file, then circumstances change and they re-register. Currently in Xero when you re-register Xero creates all the prior period GST returns for when the client was deregistered. You then have to manually delete all the prior draft returns.

    Would be great if you could have an option to choose the new start date for GST.

  9. I would like Xero to create as sales invoice worded in English and then be able to click a button and Xero then translates all details (including hard coded items) into the language selected and visa versa.

  11. When an invoice in emailed in Workflowmax it is marked with a tick as “Sent”, however this does not carry through to Xero. Is it possible to add this feature so that invoice payment reminders in Xero automatically work without the need to manually change the invoice status to “Sent”?

  12. It would be great to have a status on quotes for when you have chased a quote. We can add a date of this and details of what has happened in notes, however if it could show as chased on the first screen under status, this would make more user friendly.

  13. My suggestion is different colors for New Spend Money and New Receive Money Tab so they are easy to differentiate. Even if the New Receive Money Tab could be a darker tone of the same color, it would really helpful and would still look good.

  16. Create a way of flagging or colour coding draft bills to pay. When you have some that are on hold for one reason or another and some that aren't due until a lot later in the year, rather than looking at them in drafts repeatedly if they were flagged or colour coded we could easily see to ignore them. Much like when bills are overdue in the 'Awaiting Payment' tab and coloured red. Would just be a nice option to be able to change manually in Drafts.

  17. Most of our clients (and I imagine many small businesses in the U.S.) use a hybrid reporting basis. Basically, short term assets and liabilities are recorded using the cash basis while long term assets and liabilities are recorded using the accrual basis.
    Therefore, for example, this will result in sales being recorded when cash received but depreciation and amortization expense are recorded monthly. This method of reporting also results in the accounting basis being more similar to tax basis.

  18. Where the business uses Xero for GST and payroll, it would be great to be able to create a bill off a finalised GST return or finalised payrun. To have the bill included in the payables automatically would ensure the bill is captured.
    It would also be great to be able to pay GST and employer deductions with a batch file from Xero, just as we can with other bills. This would remove the need for manual loading of the payments in the bank and ensure the matching of the payment in Xero was a full circle to the finalised…

  19. On bills awaiting payment and payment batches having a way to copy the amount that is not formatted so that it can be pasted directly into bank payment amount fields. At the moment the value is formatted with commas "1,200" which cannot be copied directly to a bank payment page.
