  1. When you open the calendar to input a date (e.g., expense claims), the calendar box changes shape/moves around when you click the arrow to go back over previous months because the number of days in each month varies. The calendar shouldn't move around because you must keep repositioning the cursor to find the arrow again.

    As someone mentioned in another comment, allow the ability to use the mouse scroll to go back and forth.

  2. We need more flexibility in depreciation schedules to add Second Hand Capital Works Assets for rental properties.
    When you buy a second hand rental property, the capital allowances available under Div 43 needs to be calculated on the original cost, however, the total amount remaining to be claimed will be less than this original amount. Fixed Assets in Xero does not currently allow for this. We need to calculate the depreciation on a straight line basis based on the original cost, not what we paid for it and we need to be able to include an opening written down value,…

  3. Currently after adding a payment, the page goes to the Sales Overview - Invoices. It would be good if (possibly just as an option) it returned to the actual invoice I was adding a payment to.

  4. Bill Payments - be able to create a make payment for a set amount which is a part payment of a supplier statement and send remittance for a part payment for multiple bills on a statement

    Client/business receives multiple bills from supplier, and pays 30 days after end of the month, they may want to pay installments of say $5,000 off the statement which will be applied against multiple bills including a part payment. At the moment there is no way to create this payment and send a remittance to the supplier, we have to wait until the payment appears…

  5. When you view invoices under activity within a contact it would be immensely helpful to see the description of the invoice as a column because it is very complicated and frustrating to have to open each invoice under a contact before finding the one you are looking for.

  6. Is it be possible to add a section to 'find and recode' where you change status from approved back to draft? It would really help if hubdoc imports a number of documents incorrectly - tthen the fix can be done on bulk transactions

  7. It would be better is the invoice reference could allow for input of longer names, without scrolling, so it's all on one line on the invoice.
    Currently, the invoice number character length and the invoice reference character length are the same, which seems odd, as usually the invoice number is just a few characters, but the invoice reference can be long (project name, case name etc)

  8. This will allow a more accurate look on the stocks pre-ordered as well as incoming stocks. Instead of having to click each item to see it.

    Even in the reports, it's great to see it so we can just generate a quick report about it.

  9. I think the idea of Xero Projects is great. However, it requires a lot of hand-holding and reentering information to go through a project life cycle.

    Here are my top 10 improvements I think would make a FAR smoother experience.

    1. Pull through items quoted into the project as tasks once 'started'. This should be a bare minimum. At the moment tasks have to be manually added to any project.

    2. Push the project title into the reference tag so it displays in the Xero invoice list (otherwise there is no high-level description of what the job is for an invoice). Or…

    That's a few points you've listed, Nicholas. Sorry it's taken a while to respond to you here, and do appreciate the feedback.

    It's best for each point you've raised to be recorded as separate ideas so the community know what they're voting for, we can get a clear sense of interest in what customers are wanting to see, and we can keep you updated if a particular idea progresses.

    We have a few ideas that have been started and appear to relate to things you'd like to see too, I've adjusted the title of your idea here to represent your point on adding the project title to the Quote reference but for the others I'd recommend starting new ideas for each of these so we can start to track the interest from the community.

  10. GST Audit Report Page number selection to also appear at the top of the screen as well as the bottom of the screen. This would be beneficial to the user so they do not have to scroll down to the bottom of the screen to select what page they wish to review/go to. saving time for the end-user.

  11. Live timesheet entries will be awesome, instead of having to wait a whole fortnight to check entries from Xero Me(only when submitted), we can check them daily or on a regular basis.

  12. I note there are repeating (aka recurring) invoices and bills.
    I would like repeating quotes as well because every year, we issue a quote to some of our clients for maintenance agreements or hosting agreements. It is basically the same quote every year except that the amounts are adjusted for CPI

  13. would be great we we could override or manually edit the GST on a transaction that may be part GST and part non GST, like any item that is only part deductible rather than having to manually split into two lines one gst and one non gst. Keeps the gross as one figure, easier to trace.

  16. AI automated Supplier Statement Reconciliation! To allow business to match the invoices in their bills to pay with the invoices shown on their suppliers statements to ensure none are missing and everyone is paid on time without delays. We are currently looking to outsource to external parties not related to xero to do this so it is possible to implement. But to have it centralised and available within xero would be great. By automating this process allows for focus towards other accounting and business aspects.

    Hi everyone, we have some updates in the UK with the bill payments method with Crezco. You now have more control of your cashflows with the ability to schedule bills to be paid at a future date using direct bank transfer. This helps to avoid potential bank charges for same day transactions, and missing due dates. Along with this you'll also be able to stay up to date with your payments with real-time payment status in Xero. Meaning you don't have to log into your bank to check the status of each bill payment. With an overview of all payments made using direct bank transfer, you have an accurate record of which suppliers have been paid, and when.

    We know there are users from others regions also interested in the idea here and we'll share if there are any updates for expanding similar functionality in other places.

  19. I work for a company where our employees can work on multiple contracts with different pay rates and different working hours for example 2 hours tues and wed at £11.50ph and thurs at £11.75.

    It would be useful if you could allocate an hourly rate to a specific working pattern and then be able to allocate multiple patterns to one employee

  20. In Australia, users need to be able to manually edit the amount of GST paid on a transaction. This is required because certain transactions (particularly grocery and pharmacy transactions) have a mixture of items, some of which have GST applied, and some that do not. Unfortunately, the receipts for these types of transactions do not indicate which specific items have incurred GST - they just have a total amount of GST paid on that receipt. As such, it would be great if users could just override the total amount of GST paid for those receipts. See attached for an example…
