  1. Just brought on a new client on Xero that runs large number of projects. At the moment, Xero does not provide a facility whereby we can bring forward opening blalances for ongoing projects.

  2. Report to see when a customer account was opened/set up. When conducting customer credit account reviews it would be handy if there was a report to see what date a customer account was set up. So you are only reviews accounts that have been opened for a year. At the moment the only way to see when an account was set up is to look at the notes/history on each individual account.

  3. Create a function that reports on Sales Customer Detail. The report would show the customer and each product/item they have purchased in the period you nominate. There would be a heading with the customer's name columns consisting of: 1. invoice number, 2. date, 3. quantity, 4. item, 5. description, 6. cost. This allows sales personnel to track customer's current supplies and what they have purchased in the past and how much they paid. There would be a total at the end of the report for the period you nominated.

  4. It would be great is the credit note number that was applied to an invoice is displayed when sending the invoice to the client. This will allow the client to see what invoice has been used if they have multiple.

  5. Is there a way to edit the email template when invoicing to add a standard email address in the BCC field? by doing this Trustpilot gets the email details to send out reviews?? i cant find an option for this feature

    obviously you would put your unique Trustpilot email address into the the BCC template field

    Hi Andrew, there's no way to set a default BCC email when sending from Xero atm. It may be something we look at in the future. For now, we'll begin to get a sense of the interest for this here. Thanks

  6. Add YTD figures for (recurring) reimbursements on an employee"s Payslip, such as non-reportable travel allowances (paid as reimbursements).

    I followed a Xero direction to process non-reportable travel allowances as reimbursements, as it ws creating discrepancies in our BAS (even though include in W1 was not checked).

    For an employee not to be able to see their total YTD renumeration on their payslip, including these reimbursements, is disappointing (particularly as it won't show on their EOFY payment summary).

  7. Please make the “Save Button” omnipresent, so it hovers/tracks the page and wherever the user is working, while building Quotes & Invoices...

    I keep having to scroll up to the very top of the page, in order to hit “Save” - and found when moving too fast, i can accidentally skip back, losing changes, and then having to start again.

  8. The old version we used to be able to hit the Enter button whilst we are keying in the number keys to the right of our keyboard. In the new version we have come to realise that the Enter Button makes the decimal points pop up... instead of just being able to put in 50 for fifty dollars. I have been using the Enter key over near those numbers on the right since xero began and I am really hoping this is fixed ASAP if that is ok please

    Hi Wilfred, appreciate you sharing in Product ideas. It helps to get a sense of interest in the specific bank you'd like us to connect with, so I'll update the title of your idea here for Anext Bank. Welcome to start new ideas for other banks you'd like to see us connect with as well.

    Along with this we'd also recommend sharing this link with your bank to let them know you'd like to see them connect with Xero, and they can fill in the form if they're interested in Partnering with us. While we don't have any direct plans for this atm, we'll share if any are made with you here.

  10. I am trying to archive legacy quotes - I have followed your instructions but when I highlight the selected quotes, there is no option button for archive?

    We want our quotes section to a more true reflection of the current business activity but at the same time do not want to have to delete legacy quotes. There is a need to archive similar to Inventory feature.

  11. Can the bill or invoice number be added to the description shown when Xero automatically adds it to the short term cash flow. See picture for item added manually where we add the bill number and then item added by Xero where none is shown. This will really help where we have multiple items for the same customer/supplier for the same amount.

  12. Allow to change user name for a specific email, without changing the name on 'ALL" historical notes on profiles.
    Currently, if i have a new user/employee doing the same roll and a previous user/employee, with the same email/log in; if i change this user name, ALL of the notes for that email account log in get changed to the current user name, so it is difficult to make out who actually made that/those notes without looking at the dates to work out when that person/started or left the role!

  14. The current bill import functionality relies primarily on contact names for matching, which creates two significant problems:

    1. Unreliable Contact Matching

    • Contact names can change over time
    • Even minor differences (single character) result in creating new duplicate contacts
    • No fallback to more reliable identifiers

    2. Character Encoding Problems

    • Special characters (e.g., apostrophes in names like "O'Connor") cause import failures
    • This particularly affects common surnames and business names

    Proposed Solution

    Implement a hierarchical matching system for contacts during bill imports:

    1. First attempt: Match by account code
    2. Second attempt: Match by database ID
    3. Final fallback: Match by contact name

  15. Other programs allow for rounding of time in timesheets to blocks of time.

    Having the ability to round to blocks of 15 minutes is a request of one of my clients as their old program allowed for this.

  16. I use Xero Me to upload expense receipts and assign to a client. I rename the photo of the receipt so that it should be traceable. The expenses are then visible when I create an invoice for that client. All good so far, however, there are two things that could be improved:

    1. There is no option to add the receipt file to the invoice when the expenses are added. Very often clients want to see the original invoice when expenses are charged back at cost.

    2. The expense files are saved in the fie library, however, the names I have given…

  19. Currently when you are viewing the GST Audit Report , you can select an item to view in more detail. When you back arrow to return to the GST Audit Report, Xero takes you back to the first item on page 1, not at the position where you left the Audit Report . It would be beneficial to the user, and would save a lot of time scrolling, if Xero returned the user to the position where they left the report.
