  1. I'd prefer to see the Tax Menu consolidated into either the Reporting or Accounting menu. Having more options just adds clutter and unnecessarily overwhelms users.

    We're keen to continue tracking where our customers would find features the most useful in terms of navigation and if there are any changes for the location of Tax I will share with you here.

  2. The Dashboard has been used as an advertising medium lately as well as a messaging medium informing users about Xero's latest acquisition or some new feature they want users to know about.

    The dashboard is a useful feature but distractions on the dashboard kill my productivity. Also, Xero have existing ways to communicate with users (email, xero messages/notifications, community forum, Xero blog etc etc) - they should leave the Dashboard for business use.

    They should also leave support messages for business support use only - have a look next time you contact support - they avoid answering the question but…

    Hi community, thanks for your feedback on a Unity Trust Bank feed. While a direct feed isn't available just yet, we understand that this'd save you a lot of time on manual data entry. As we work with Tink to support more open banking connections we'll move this idea through to In discovery. While this is a step in the right direction, it's not a guarantee that the feed will be developed, and we don't have a timeframe to share just yet. We'll be sure to post any updates right here.

  4. I don't want autosave on for invoicing - I use third party software to copy invoice details to a Trello Card, this is triggered when the invoice is saved.
    Auto saving will send the invoice info through to Trello before the invoice is complete, meaning not all the info will be sent to Trello.
    Are we able to turn off the auto save function in new invoicing?

    Hi community, as mentioned in my last post we want to keep you looped in on changes around autosave.

    Our product team has continued to focus attention on how we can make invoicing faster and more responsive to improve our customers' experience.

    We've now optimised autosave to require less processing power, leading to faster invoice loading and saving.

    While we don't have any plans to remove autosave, there is the possibility that we would make updates to improve experiences related to autosave in the future - I've provided links below to ideas that have been raised and remain open for consideration;

  5. Can we add hotkeys for frequently used functions.

    For example

    Search - Alt + S

    Hi everyone, while not directly from an employee's record it's possible to view an employees payslip without having to download it. If you select Pay employees from the Payroll menu, choose the required pay run you'll be able to click View Reports where you can choose the 'Payslips' option.

    From here you can see the payslips for all employees in that pay period.

    We don't have direct plans for adding this capability from within an employee's record atm, but we'll track the interest of this here and let you know if any change is planned.

    Hi community, we appreciate the continued traction this idea's received, and do want to provide clarity and set expectation.

    Your feedback has been valuable in understanding the needs of using description only lines to; add subheadings, provide context for grouped charges, and ensure your invoices are easy for your clients to read and understand.

    To reconfirm, atm - You can add one-off description only lines as you enter an invoice. However, if you add detail to any other field the line will be treated as a 'financial' line and you'll need to include Qty, Unit price, Account and Tax rate.

    • We know some users have set up and saved inventory items for description only lines they commonly use, however as the item code field is used for inventory items the line of the invoice is treated as 'financial' meaning you'll then need to include Qty, Unit price, Account and Tax…
  9. One of the key steps in preparing client financials is to ensure accounts, especially newly added ones, are assigned to the correct report code. I had the favourited on every client in the old navigation for quick access as it's something I need almost every time. It'd like that back.

We understand there are different options that our customers would find most useful within the menu drop downs and our product teams are paying close attention to the feedback we receive on this in Product Ideas.   11. Suggest the ability to apply work patterns to part time employees. For example, we have a part time employee who works 7 hours on Mon, 6 hours on Tues and 6 hours on Wed.
    At the moment, if a Public Holiday falls on a Monday, it does not correctly work out hours worked.
    The same happens if Annual Leave is taken; incorrect hours are calculated which affects AL accruals.
    Hours worked have to be calculated and added manually.

    Hey everyone 👋 Thanks so much for all the detailed feedback on applying work patterns for part-time employees. We’ve been following the conversation and understand that manually adjusting pay runs for pro-rata entitlements can be a real challenge. It’s clear that having this automated could save time and give you greater peace of mind.

    I’m pleased to let you know our product team has reviewed this idea and we’re updating the status to ‘Accepted’. This means that while it’s not on our immediate roadmap, it’s something we see real value in and want to bring into Xero when we can prioritise the work.

    In the meantime, the workarounds shared here, like manually adjusting hours in each pay run, remain the best approach. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, as your feedback plays a crucial role in shaping Xero. We’ll keep you updated on any developments…

    We know that having to manually upload statements takes valuable time away from running your business, especially when your bank doesn't offer CSV exports.

    I’m happy to share that we're exploring a bank feed for Cynergy Bank.

    While we can't give any commitment at this point, we'll be back once the team have had a chance to dig in deeper and share any progress. 

  13. Quotes that have been Deleted are marked as Deleted but continue to be displayed in the Sales Overviews. There is no need to continue to display deleted items in the Overviews. They should be removed.

    Hi team, in the aim of transparency we have split this idea out from the original one here so we can get a better understanding of the interest for this change in each area of Xero.

    Being quite different features within Xero it's not likely that a change in one would be reflected in the other area at the same time. We will continue to track interest in removing quotes from the all list here and share if there are any updates.

  14. Hi Xero Team,

    We are in the process of registering Xero as our Computerized Books of Accounts with the BIR. In line with this, we would like to share some suggestions that may help Xero meet the BIR requirements.

    For report generation, it would be helpful if the footer could include:

    The type of book,

    A timestamp and date,

    The name of the person who generated the report, and

    The software version number.

    At present, the footer only shows the date and type of report. Adding the generator’s name, exact time, and version number would make the reports more aligned…

    Please note Xero operates on a continuous delivery model, which means we're constantly updating and improving our software. Unlike traditional software Xero doesn't have version numbers or release dates so we are unable to provide this information.

  15. rifactu is a mandatory invoice verification system in Spain, introduced by the Anti-Fraud Law, which seeks to increase transparency and tax control by automatically sending invoicing records to the Tax Agency (AEAT) in real time to prevent fraud. Supported invoicing programs must ensure the integrity, traceability and preservation of invoices, and include a QR code and the mention "Veri*Factu" in the document. Implementation is progressing, with the use of adapted software mandatory for taxpayers from July 2026.

  16. Require an SGC statement report ( a combination of Employee remuneration + payroll activity summary report) that includes all details required about the employee and super accrued on OTE + Overtime hours worked. This would enable efficient reporting to the ATO when super payments are late.

  17. Ability to draft future payruns - ie more than 1 darft payrun. Especially at Christmas time. I would like to draft up future payruns before Igo on leave, but still have the ability to adjust this week payrun for overtime etc. At the moment I can't move forward until I complete current payrun. or i have to do un unscheduled payrun to fix it. Very time consuming

    Hi team, we want to be upfront that we don't have immediate plans for enabling the ability to create multiple draft pay runs in NZ Payroll.

    If this is something you'd like to see developed for NZ Payroll please add your vote here and we will continue to get a sense of the overall interest from community, and can share if there are any plans made.

  18. Display the Credit Note/s applied to an invoice and payments made by date on a PDF document. Why is it that we can view these in the system but we cannot see this when printing invoices.
    It would be so helpful to have this for clients to view exactly what they have paid and exactly what credit notes have been applied to an invoice.

    If it is already on the systems for us to see, is it that hard to reflect this on the printed /emailed versions of invoices?

  19. MY e-invoicing requires a tracking category in Xero. As we have clients which requires 2 tracking categories for their businesses, it is impossible to free up 1 tracking category for e-invoicing. Please look into this matter by considering adding a new tracking specific for e-invoicing.

    Hi team, we appreciate the appetite in this idea for being able to add more tracking categories to suit the needs of eInvioicing in Malaysia. We want to be open that while we have improvements planned for eInvoicing in Malaysia, increasing tracking categories isn't in our plans right now.

    I understand some in the conversation here may already be doing this however to highlight for others - Right now, if you use a Tracking category for this purpose you can also look to add a default tracking to a contacts record which may help with auto assigning these codes for customers you trade with frequently.

    We will continue to watch the interest through this idea closely, and share if there are any updates.

  20. That would be great to make the Contact group field visible on the Bills to Pay screen to let us filter to certain contact groups when we are preparing a payment file.

    We use the contact groups for example to mark suppliers that are paid by Direct Debit, so this would be a useful feature to filter them out and do not pick their invoices up for a BACS payment.

    We also have another group of suppliers within the contact groups that we pay at once on the same day of each month so we would be able to easily…
