Any update on this Xero?

Because we are unable to easily allocate Credit Notes to repeating invoices, this would be a really useful feature.

Otherwise we create credit notes for future invoices and then they don't get applied, so understandably the customer gets annoyed.

Or, you have to duplicate the repeating invoice (which you have to do manually) and set an end date on the first one, and then set a new future date for the second.

Ridiculously long winded.

yeah, i want repeating invoices just to go out, unless there has been some activity then I want to using the API pause the repeating template so I can manually amend before it is sent

Come on Xero. When are you get round to bringing repeating invoices in to the 21st century?

Just tried to pause a repeating invoice as I expected this to be a standard feature of Xero. Disappointed it has not yet been included in Xero. Please add this to the next update.

Are there any issues with just saving the recurring invoice as a draft as opposed to changing dates or deleting the recurring invoice completely?

This app includes a workaround - it allows users to edit invoice schedules created - so you can do things like setup a schedule for 12 invoices but then delete or edit the (say) 5th and 6th invoice

It's so annoying having to delete repeating invoices and re-create them.
It would be a simple feature.

This is basic functionality that should have been added in the beginning. Now that we have the option of offering Autopay, I cannot believe this still has not been implemented. My only work around is to let Xero generate the invoice (Approve without sending) and void the invoice before its due date. Why is everything a work-around in Xero?

A bit of a work around, you can set the repeating to happen every 5000 months. Easy to also view all these as they are grouped together at the bottom of all your repeating invoices.

This pausing option would be a great, as we have numerous clients on monthly repeating invoice.

It's been nearly nine years since this was first requested as a feature.

I came here today to request it anew, because a client has paused a repeating purchase and when they start it up again, I don't want to unnecessarily duplicate the work I did setting that repeating bill template up 18 months ago. (and if you can do it on repeating invoices then the capacity should be there to do it with repeating bills, so why duplicate the feature request?)

You don't need to delete and recreate, since it's yet not possible to copy from a repeating invoice, I've been copying from previous invoice and then editing the next invoice date in the repeating template.

The ability to pause a repeating invoice without deleting it would be really helpful.

An alternative would be to allow setting of the end date before the next invoice date, but Xero doesn't allow this either!!

Having a pausing function/option in XERO for the monthly automated repeating invoices rather than having to delete them each time and then having to reinstate them again sometimes a week or month later, would be a time saver and more effective way, making it a much more user friendly process for all XERO customers.
