Email Settings - Specify date/time to send transactions
Ability to specify date/time when users’ want to send emails from Xero.
Purpose: So clients/customers can receive the email during the working hours and not at random time.

Hey everyone, we've seen all your votes and comments, and we totally get it – not being able to schedule one-off invoices or pick specific send times is a real pain point. Your feedback makes it clear how much time it costs you and how it can affect your client relationships.
Right now, repeat invoice templates go some way to providing some automation. But we know that's not quite what you're asking for when it comes to those one-off invoices or more precise timing for all your emails.
The good news is, our product team is digging in to the work that'd be needed to develop a solution, and figuring out the best way to make this happen. While we can't give any promises just yet, please know that your feedback is a huge part of this discovery process. Keep those comments and votes coming!
We'll post another update here as soon as we have more news to share.

Can Xero create a "Delayed Send" function for the Remittance advices?
As a school we often set up a batch payment and load this to the bank prior to the payment date - this is due to holidays, or the boss being away during actual payment time. This can sometimes be a week prior. To send the remittance that early creates confusion for the customer, and its often forgotten at the other end due to work load.
I'm sure this would be helpful for other buisnesses as well.
Many thanks -

This feature would be life-changing! Please implement it ASAP. It would save a lot of headaches for me, and would be a better experience for my clients. I don't want my clients to receive invoices too early (looks like I'm desperate), and I don't want them to see I'm sending invoices at midnight either (looks like I don't have a life!) In fact, clients end up receiving invoices a little late, and that looks like I'm inefficient. So I would LOVE this feature.

Yes please, the ability to create an invoice immediately after the job is complete and fresh in my mind, but have it sent the day my employer processes the monthly invoices (so they don't lose it) would be a huge asset.

Feature would be extremely useful

Yep, feature would be great.
I don't want to have to create a recurring invoice for the purpose of sending one invoice at a later date.

It shouldn't be hard to add to the software. It's one of the first things I needed, given that invoices are often done after hours, and it's not great to send them in the middle of the night. So many people have been asking why this is not available yet.

yes! We have to send invoices on the day of delivery but we enter the invoices on the day of dispatch, a schedule send would be a life saver!

This would be a HUGE benefit. Being able to build the invoice over time and have it scheduled for the appropriate date would be amazing.

Recurring invoices does not allow for each to be unique which this would resolve.

The ability to schedule send invoices would be incredibly useful. This would assist with managing processes when staff are on leave as well as ensuring continuity of cash flow as invoices can be forward-dated and sent, ensuring they are not forgotten.
Judging by the community it is a very desirable feature: https://central.xero.com/s/question/0D53m00005lHMyjCAG/can-you-schedule-the-sending-of-an-invoice

Invoice Reminders. They are automatically set by xero to be sent out between 4am and 8am. We have had complaints from clients receiving them as early as 2am in the morning which is very unprofessional. I would recommend xero schedule them during business hours or provide a function that we can nominate a time slot for them to be sent.

@Geoff Schmidt in your scenario (prep payroll on Friday for payment on Monday) it's a legal requirement under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cwth) that pay slips be sent within one working day of pay day, so technically sending the pay slips on the Friday would be legal (assuming a Monday to Friday working week). If you prepped payroll on Friday for payment on Tuesday, however, it would not be legal (technically) to send pay slips on the day that payroll was prepared.

Yes, seriously thinking of moving to Quickbooks as well.
The aged statements is another very useful feature that to have I have to use a paid app. It's a disgrace. -

I should not subscribe to the comments on this issue (or any other) as it just gets me angry. Xero NEVER actually implements any to the suggestions. Years ago I thought that taking the time to provide customer feedback was worth my time. Then after a few years of no response or comments such as "we are putting all our effort into Single Touch Payroll" I realised Xero is hopeless in doing anything for it's customers other than putting up their charges.

I am the director of a web application development company and we get feature requests for our software which would make small parts of the systems a whole heap better. Often though, these requests are made without an understanding of what it would take to incorporate them into the software or of other more important areas that we need to work on. We use Xero but we're not affiliated with them in any way. They are a good company and theirs is a good platform. While they might not be working on this exact feature at this precise moment, I'm sure that they are working on other areas of the software for the overall good of the product and for their client base. No software is perfect, and MYOB and QuickBooks will no doubt also have feature requests which some of their customer base are frustrated at not having had implemented yet either. Hang in there, I'm sure this will come.

9 years on and still not done. Xero is really pathetic. What's the point of having this community forum to add ideas if they don't get actioned.

Both, myob and quickboooks has this feature.
I'll discuss with my accountant if it is possible to switch.
This is an easy and quick work, still not sure why xero is ignoring it. -

Does anyone know if MYOB offers this feature?
