Invoice Reminders - Auto email Statements to customers
Ability to send an automatic statement to customer
Purpose: To prevent late payment from customer
Thanks for your support on the idea, everyone. We thoroughly appreciate your participation, and letting us know where you'd like to see change across Xero.
Customer statements, is an area of Xero that needs upgrades to it's technology in order to make ideas like this one here possible.
Currently, while we have plans for modernising this space soon we cannot commit to any new developments for Statements until this work has been complete. Once this has been done I'll round back to the idea here when we can reset the objectives.

Guarantees statements to go out on timely manner

Xeros business model is to let other companies spend money on developing add-ons to solve problems like this, and whichever company wins the "race" Xero take a % of their sales.
Xero therefore save money, take no risks and get paid on the winner anyway.
No point voting as Xero rarely make substantial software improvements themselves, they outsource development to developers.Shopify do the same

This thread was started in 2015. What's the point in voting if there's nothing done about it?
Thank you. -

That's a great idea.

We would also like the option to automatically attach copies of invoices owing when sending statements.

This is such a basic function, and your software is sub-par without it, sort it out!

Xero team, please make this available as soon s possible as this is absolutely necessary.

It is simple and necessary. Can't see why Xero has not implemented yet...Just ridiculous.

Ando Ralaison commented
We really need the statement to be sent automatically to the customer.

It does seem that Xero has failed to include a basic and common request

Saw Statey - but it should be standard functionality...

There's a perfect solution to this, it is just going to cost extra https://www.statey.app/ Using Statey for about 6 months now, it does exactly what you need.

Seem to get a lot of notifications about this subject - but Xero just aren't interested in basic end-user features now. Given this was raised by them in 2015. Priority is their Accountant Partners who have become their main sales channel and who they love these days. I just hope there's a new company that'll be the Xero of old about to emerge.

I can't believe that such a fundamental part of accounting is not available. It seems pretty simple to me, you can opt in which customers
that you want (or all) statements sent to, if they have an outstanding balance they get a statement, if their account is at zero, they don't get one.
Statey is all well and good but its another cost that we shouldn't have to pay as this should be an option with a set up the size of Xero.
If its not going to be an option then I'm going to look for another provider. There are plenty out there/
Come on Xero, where is it? -

An unfortunate oversite I imagine, like all the others.

As an interim solution (while we wait for Xero do this natively), there is a plugin on the Xero App store called "Statey".
It syncs your Xero data and generates automated monthly/weekly customer statements and saves all the email receipts.
Yes, it costs some money, but its something for those in need while we wait.

Seems like such a basic function to be built in, surprised it is not already an option. Would save plenty of admin time to process these manually.

Another very basic feature I wonder why is NOT already in.

Shann Korant commented
Would be very beneficial and save lots of admin time

This is surely basic and an easy thing to build. We have to send a statement at the beginning of every month so needless to say this would be a very useful option and I'm surprised it's not available.
