AU Payroll - New Employee - Online Commencement Forms

Ability to send and generate online commencement forms from Xero Payroll.

Purpose: Employees can complete and submit their own online commencement forms, rather than having to ask the employers to submit it.

Great news team, work has been moving along well and I'm pleased to share our teams are developing the ability for employees to self-onboard by entering their own onboarding details within Xero Payroll in Australia.

We appreciate the extra admin and time this will take back for Payroll admins to be able to focus on the more critical payroll tasks. Currently in testing with a small group of users, I look forward to coming back with more details as we progress to release.

    Thanks Daniel Masters. This registration letter is on Xonboard's own website - the ATO's web list of commercially available software products, which have met the Digital Service Provider (DSP) Operational Security Framework (OSF) security requirements does not include SuperAPI or Xonboard...

    I brought this up with Xonboard in December 2024 (because I really wanted to sign up with them) and they acknowledged it and said they were working toward rectifying it 🤷‍♀️

    Have been able to do this in MYOB for a very long time. Just another thing that Xero can't do. You have a very good sales team that over promises and under delivers.

    Renee Hall - my concern with Xonboard is that they say they are registered with the ATO but are not listed on the ATO product register (I contacted the ATO who have confirmed this also) - I don’t want to hand over access to our staff tax, super and other personal details to Xonboard if they are not actually registered and compliant as an ATO DSP! Once they appear on that list I will definitely sign up with them if Xero doesn't sort out an onboarding system in the meantime...

    I have just come across this request while looking for another request, and wanted to say that we have been using XOnboard for onboarding new employees, they are very proactive and update their site regularly to ensure that all employees are onboarded properly. Just as an alternative while waiting on Xero to update this facility.

    Definitely an important feature. I am surprised Xero doesn't have it after I switched from myob. I find it less professional asking for all of the new employee details over email. Glad to hear you are looking into it!

    The form won't load, and this issue has persisted since 2023. Come on, Xero Admin, keep up with the competition!

    This would move me away from other apps and exclusively to Xero if xero me included the need for the employee to enter their Tax forms ans super and it populated directly to Xero.

    This is so basic and has been requested for YEARS. I work with product teams and I know Xero has the capability to do this. Maybe you need better product managers who pay attention to paying customers.

    This would be amazing. Or even just the option to be able to upload files to a certain employee so all their data is in the one place.
