Bill Screen - Simpler preview of attachments
Preview PDF on Bill Screen. Currently viewing a PDF has to many clicks
Have to click the files icon 1
then click the file name i want to download
then click in my browser to open the downloaded file
Can we not just have it preview the PDF in the browser, if there is only one file attached a preview button without having to drop down first would also be good. So you can view the attached invoice in one click instead of three.
Thanks for all contributing to the idea here! With our new Bills quick view feature, previewing your files has been become much simpler.
From the list view you'll be able to see the # of files uploaded to a bill, and by clicking on the file icon you can get a quick side by side preview (without having to leave the list view).
You'll also find you can use the arrows in the bottom right corner to switch from one file to the next where you've uploaded multiple. 😉

I also have this issue, but others in the office do not. When you click on the attachment button it shows the PDF file available, when other members of staff click on this attachment it just opens straight away with a preview of the file but when I click on it it opens a pop up that states I must download the file and then I have to go to downloads to open it. Why is mine opening differently to others? How do I get mine to open the same as others?

I find this frustrating as well. When entering a bill the pdf view of the bill is too small to read so you have to click/open it to see whats going on. The window should be resizeable so the pdf view can be expanded when entering the bill so you can actually see it and obtain the relevant information you need without opening extra windows.

Hi Alex, you can save yourself a step there by clicking straight on the file from the view you've shared.
Doing this will open the file so you don't need to go through effort to download each time you'd like to check an attached file 🙂
