AU Payroll - Specify leave approver
Ability to specify a set approver for a specific employee for when they submit leave requests.
Employees who are nominated as a leave approver should only be able to approve leave for the specific employees who have them nominated as their approver.
Alternatively, employees who have the "Authorised to Approve Leave" checkbox ticked should only be able to approve leave by employees in the same Employee Group.
Only payroll admins should be able to approve leave for all employees.

This would be a great feature, please for NZ Payroll as well.
It is important also that The Leave approval for the group have full payroll access to their group. i.e Leave transactions report, leave balance, payment history etc.

Add a tick box to the Payroll admin user so an admin user doesnt appear in the Xero me as an approver for the timesheet.
Example: The accounting practice have multiple staff with payroll advisor access. All of these staff in the accounting practice are coming up as a selection in the approval person list in xero me as the employee submits their time sheet. Can we untick or remove the staff from the approval list without compromising their access from an accounting practice level? -

It would be great if there was a workflow like this so that the supervisor could approve or reject and if approved it then went through to payroll for final approval.

Ability for a payroll admin to submit a leave request for approval would be good. Not all payroll admins have the authority to approve their own leave!

The list contains parties external to our organisation (ie. accountants) - an incorrect selection creates issues.

This is particularly when Directors are paid from company and do not want staff access to their payroll information.

Can we have the ability to set authorisation levels in payroll so that payroll "officers" can have authorities allocated by "employee". The intention to have payroll officers do tasks such as timesheet updating etc with restrictions to employees as allocated.

Xero Me - Leave Approval (app)
There should be an option to hide leave “approver” names that appear and only show the employee’s supervisor/leave approver, that is to approve that employees leave.
My understanding is the approver list comes from all people that have payroll admin user access.
Due to privacy reasons, it is not ideal for employees to be able to see all names that are listed. -

Have payroll access for the chair of the board to be able to approve the CEOs timesheets and leave without having access to all staff details. I am sure that the privacy act would come into play with the chair having access to all staff information.

It would be good to be able to have more control over who can approve leave requests in My Payroll. At the moment all those with 'payroll admin' access come up as an approver option,. For instance if you have a bookkeeper or accountant who has payroll admin access, they come up as an option for approver when an employee submits a leave request. It would be good to be able to hide those, or remove their ability to approve leave.
