Invoicing: Calculate and charge interest on overdue invoices

Good Day

We would like to request that the feature or the option to charge interest on customers for overdue accounts be developed as most other accounting packages has this feature and it becomes time consuming when this has to be calculated and brought in as additional invoices when there are numerous accounts that this needs to be done on.

    Any update from the Xero team on this much needed feature. Seems like a no brainer to me. Such a pain to try and calculate interest on overdue invoices manually. I would have thought it would be an important feature in any financial system.. Do the Xero people listen to what the customers are wanting?

    Please add interest to a customer invoice, almost every company have customers who pay late, very tedious to generate additional interest invoices every month.

    Why is this still not implemented when so many people have requested it? It seems this would be a better feature than the new invoicing which is not user friendly at all.

    Please could we have this implemented as the invoices gets paid later and later by the clients.

    I too would love to see this feature being added to Xero. In the current economic climate invoices are being paid later and later by customers and clients. Debt recovery is essential to cash flow and charging interest on overdue invoices is another incentive to getting payment. It can also mean the difference between your invoice being paid over another creditors. In my mind this is should be a priority for the Xero Development team.

    We have a number of clients that have asked for this as they have many customers that have interest charged to their account and it takes a huge amount of time to calculate and capture separately

    I would also like to see this feature as a built in part of Xero. I have just inherited a large customer base for one of the companies I manage and there are tons of invoices that need to be chased. We have a policy on charging interest on overdue invoices but can't implement it as it is too time consuming to try and create new interest invoices for every outstanding / overdue invoice.
