NZ Payroll: Generate and send payslips before posting pay run
Ability to email payslip before the pay run is posted. This way the employee can come back to the pay clerk with any feedback on hours or allowances before the pay run is completed and filed through to myir. The reduces the need to revert the pay run before the "final" posting and payment made to employees. Reverting the pay run impacts on IRD when IRD have begun their processing as they have to do a manual amendment to pick up any changes once the pay run is re-posted. I have advised by IRD they have to make manual amendments when we often revert and make changes to our large weekly pay run. e.g. post on an afternoon and revert in the morning after feedback... so while the reverting is seemless at the Xero end for users not so useful in keeping IRD happy.

This is needed with our company as hours are not consistent and we are always reverting the pay run. I am manually downloading each pay slip per person and personally emailing them at the moment and would be super helpful if I didn't have to.

Hi Xero,
I had this conference call with a team leader at IRD 6 months ago or thereabouts as we always have to revert the payrun after emailing the payslips. Its a lag of 18 hours before paying the wages on a Wednesday morning. Almost always there is an allowance or call out missed or a timesheet has been updated after the payslip is sighted. I created a workaround with IRD that we would disconnect our ir-filing link each week until and then reconnect to myir when ready to send through the final posted payrun. It is crazy we should have to do this. I already sent a request about this so excited it is being considered. For the bigger payrolls using Xero this is quite an problem. Almost a game changer as it makes the payroll look weak in terms of functionality. I have been doing Xero accounting work since day 1 of Xero so have mega feedback on payroll. This is by far the most critical thing to update.

Totally agree, I've never struck a payroll system that doesn't allow payslips to be sent prior to finalising for exactly the reasons you say, my staff can be late in entering timesheets which then alters their hours etc.
