Inventory - Export only Active items to CSV

At the moment Xero doesn't seem to have a provision wherein only active items can be downloaded from the Inventory List. I think this is an important and effective feature that needs to be implemented.

Hi everyone, we've now introduced the ability to export your items list from the Products & Services page based on the filter you've applied. You can now export only your active items, or all items, making it easier to manage your inventory. 

We're also working on adding an extra column for 'Status' in the CSV export along with 'Inventory type'. This will be coming in as a later release. We'll post an update in this thread when that's out as well  🙂

    Thanks for the update and it's good to see some action on this request.
    As well as being able to export 'only active' items it would be great if you were able to export ALL items and have the archive flag (extra column) included in the export (so the export would contain active and archived items but you could determine it's state from the archive flag). Hope that makes sense.

    The status column showing Active or Archive would be extremely helpful on the products and services item export. One of our affiliates has over 400 items, of which only 75 are active. We have other processes dependent upon the list of active items and currently there's not a less manual way than add the word "archive" to the item name.

    Has this been resolved. Products and Services export! I select 'ACTIVE' however includes all INACTIVE records. Why have a selection of ALL or ACTIVE if it doesn't work?

    Is there a work around?

    Products and Services - export current 'view'.
    When you click on export on the Products and Services page, it exports ALL records with no indication in the output of the archive status of each record. You can display "All" or "Active" records but this is ignored by the export function. Could the export function be changed so that it only exports the current view (either All or Active)? Or include the Archive status of each record in the output file?
