New Invoicing - Allow us to have Negative quantities on invoice
In the Classic Invoicing, we could set a negative item amount which was useful to make it clear to clients that we had refunded something. It also corrected the stock levels in the inventory. In new Invoicing, you can set a negative financial amount but you are not allowed negative quantities, as such it is not clear and it messes up the stock inventory levels. You can do it via credit notes but this requires more things to be issued to clients etc.

GST default on a copied invoice defaulting to GST Inclusive / Incorrectly
A slight bug found - I just had a supplier ask why we had charged less for the last 2 months. I checked and it looks like Xero defaulted to "GST Inclusive" invoices when copying an invoice that is GST-Exclusive, even when:
1) the previous Invoice is set to "GST Exclusive"
2) the Financial settings, tax defaults, For sales is set to for"Based on last sale"
3) Note - No Contact defaults for GST set.Somehow, my $500 + GST invoices = $575 has been reduced to $500 including GST.
Previously Xero would copy over the invoice exactly, but now…

Bills - Highlight bills due to be paid by Direct Debit
It would be great to have a Direct Debit flag on the Bills area. Especially on the ones waiting payment.
That would allow us to know if a bill that is waiting payment is Direct Debit and we don't need to act, just wait to reconcile.

Payment Services - Ability to set Zip fee to be added on top of invoice amount
Please add option in Xero Payment Services to pass Zip transaction fees to customer on top of my invoice amount. At least most of the invoice amount will be paid to me.
Like Stripe card payment service, pop-up could prompt payee to accept the fee on top of invoice amount. The 5-8% zip fee is too high to absorb for my sole trader businesses.
In Xero > Settings > Payment Services - the Zip payment service could have some settings just like Stripe card payments has to choose that option of including fees in the amount or adding the zip…

Invoicing - Remove credit card logos from invoice PDF
For businesses that only leverage ACH bank transfers as a form of payment, allow users the ability to remove all credit card logos from the invoice. It's not currently possible to remove the Visa and Mastercard logos from your invoices, when using Stripe as a payment service.

Customer statements - will Xero enable the functionality to present payments received by customers as 1 line item? We want to see the total payment amount on the statement - not allocated to each invoice as it is currently.

Invoicing | Files - Ability to attach files before adding contact
This Function is Broken with New Invoicing - It does NOT create a new invoice with the file attached.
70 votesThanks to everyone that contributed and gave feedback to the teams survey that was shared in my last update.
There was a lot of valuable insights that the team are able to take from this as they continue to plan whats next in invoicing.
We understand and appreciate there are different flows for how our customers invoicing, and the timing of adding files can be dependent on these flows also.
Our team are currently reviewing and exploring solutions to enable attachment of files to an invoice prior to the Contact. As soon as I have more news around this I'll be sure to share with you all through the idea here.

Revert File Inbox to previous version. Don't Archive the folders
Revert File Inbox back to previous version. The new update where all folders are archived, doesn't allow for documents to be saved without being attached to a transaction. I love that with the original version I can use the folders to save important information for this client, such as bank statements, EOFY information & Insurance docs, for all parties to access.

Xero search - Ability to copy an invoice no. without deleting spaces.
In the general search field at the top right, it would be very helpful if the search also work with a space or a few spaces at the beginning. Because if I copy an invoice number in the field I always have to delete the spaces first before the search works - it's annoying.

Batch Payment - Option to add another when creating
Navigation. Wouldn't it make life easier when paying bills if you could create a batch and then go directly back to the Purchases Overview to create the next one. At the moment it's Create a Batch Payment then > Purchases > Bills. Repeat the process.

Stripe - Exclude Surcharge from Stripe Fee Calculation
I was wondering if it was possible to get surcharge not added into the total charge that stripe uses to get their processing fee. I always thought that the surcharge total would be like the money that they took their charge from which is why I added the surcharge anyway. It ends up being that stripe adds the surcharge in with the base charge on the customer invoice and then takes out their processing fee. I don't think that is right though. It should be a way for stripe to only charge their processing fee to the base cost of…

Not being able to exclude the surcharge amount from the Stripe fee calculation has come up from a few of you. It’s helpful to understand exactly where the pain points are and how they affect your day-to-day.

Report templates - Annual Financial Statements, include statutory Tax Computation Schedule
For the report templates, would it be possible to include a tax computation as part of the Annual Financial Statements? This schedule would show the income tax calculation for the year as well as the resulting tax asset or liability at year-end.

E-invoice - New e-invoice notification
e-invoicing notification
It would be great if we could get some kind of notification when an e-invoice was received into draft. Without going into our process, not knowing when a e-invoice was received will cause delays in processing as well as paying it.

Include correspondence to IRD in GST return
We have loads of Developers (residential & commercial builders) as our clients. These clients need GST refunds/payments at regular intervals. IRD processing is much faster if we add and invoices and correspondences with GST returns. Xero does a great job, but I have noticed that when we file GST returns via Xero- we just can't add any supporting/attachments. This must change, so please vote so we all can be benefitted.

Batch Payments - Ability to add bills to an existing batch
Add a "add Bill" button to enable you to add a bill after the batch has been created without cancelling the batch and redoing.

e-invoicing Germany
From 1st January 2025 businesses in Germany must be able to receive e-invoices and this function does not exist in the Global edition we use for our German clients.
We need this functionality setting up as a matter of urgency.

While we don't have immediate work planned at this stage our plan is to support any Peppol-enabled region in the long term and we are paying close attention to the interest from users on this idea. We'll be sure to update of any progress surrounding this for you, here.
The mandate currently states "The new legal regulation currently contains no specifications for the electronic transmission of electronic invoices. An email inbox should therefore initially be sufficient to receive an electronic invoice."
Based on this, currently with Xero an eInvoice could be received by using our Email to bills service, or by including the invoice as an attachment and sending to your organisation's Files library. On agreement with your suppliers you could share your bills, or files library email with them so…

Batch payments - Ability to include credit notes
Allow the inclusion of Credit Notes in Batch Payments where the total to be paid to a supplier is still positive. This would allow a single batch for a Supplier to match their Statement, particularly where credit notes are not related to specific Bills.
