  1. When an employee has a postponed autoenrollment the pension doesn't prompt or show up until just before the payment run has been posted. Making any prior payroll reports and payslips incorrect as the pension then tags on at the end. So reports then need to be reprinted and balanced again.

    Can the prompt no show up at the start of the pay run? This will then save any duplicated reports and potential incorrect payments.

    Also the pension filing report viewable before the RTI posting.

    Alternatively, enter the postponement date when posting the pay run in which the employee becomes eligible…

  4. Can we please add a company logo on the payslip email?

    At the moment it just has the 'Xero me' background saying "your payslip is attached" ect. It would be nice to be able to swap that image with our company logo thanks.

  5. It would assist us if the Leave Accrued Report could also show the employee's start date. Long Service Leave is only applicable to staff from the 5 or 10 year mark for us in NSW but to ascertain whether staff are eligible for it is requiring external spreadsheets that have to be manually adjusted each month. Xero already has the functionality to enable this so it can't be hard to action.

  6. AU - Compulsory Employee Super When a Employee Superfund changes ABN, USI number, merges with another fund.

    The only solution at moment is to export the employee data into a file and save it. Then deactivate the Superfund. The problem is if you have a query on these past transactions you cannot do it through Xero. If you a subjected to an audit you cannot generate report for the data prior to the date of the changes made to the super fund. If you have been through an audit this creates a lot of work.   7. The status of invites to XeroMe to be easily displayed

    When an employee is invited to XeroMe, it would be good to be able to see the status including:
    - sent to employee
    - employee revoewed
    - employee accepted
    - employee rejected
    - etc

Timesheets - aside from just having an employee enter hours worked against each, it would be good to have a customizable timesheet that other fields could be recorded against the day that are not hours driven. For example - for one day have the employee enter 5hrs of time worked but also another field for a quantity driver - eg; enter quantity of 3. We have one client with a large number of employees that are remunerated via an hourly rate plus a quantity driver.   9. We have multiple employees that have various deductions from their wages. This is causing the pay slip to spread accross two pages which is concerning as they may miss important information like messages at the bottom of a pay slip.
    There needs to be the either:
    1. The ability to change the payslip layout
    or
    2. Have two or three template options to choose from.

  10. Our payroll requirements vary across the year as we are very seasonal. It would be useful to be able to 'select all' or 'deselect all' when selecting who to pay when setting up a pay run. Having to deselect about 30 of 35 staff one by one is painful!

  13. As a Chartered Accountant, I’ve observed an issue in Xero’s handling of sick leave entitlements that I believe warrants improvement. Currently, if an employee is not included in the pay run closest to their sick leave entitlement date, the entitlement does not accrue. This creates a significant gap in compliance with employment obligations and adds unnecessary administrative burden to correct.
    To enhance the functionality and flexibility of Xero's payroll system, I think that sick leave entitlements should automatically accrue when the employee is included in any future pay run following their entitlement date. This adjustment would ensure compliance with employment…

    Thanks for your feedback of how Xero handles sick leave entitlements, Natalee.

    I've made sure this is shared back with our product team, and while we can understand the reason for change you'd like to see here, we want to be open that this isn't something we have planned in the immediate future.

    Right now, if an employee isn't included in the scheduled pay run when their leave anniversary date falls, you'll need to do a manual leave adjustment to grant the employee the missed entitlement.

  14. Xero cannot current cope with companies that have more than one pension scheme. The upload I need to send to the pension provider includes payroll number, pensionable earnings for period, start date and date of birth. It would be useful if Xero had the ability to add these and additional fields if required customised in the contribution report.

  15. Average Employee Numbers in the Year

    As part of preparing accounts, the average employee number is often required. If this could be generated within Xero that would save time collating the number of employees per month and working out an average for the year. It could subsequently be used as working out the amount of revenue attributable to each staff member.

  16. To enhance efficiency and save time, it would be highly beneficial to integrate the payroll system in Xero with Crezco Online Banking. This integration would allow wages to be paid directly through Xero, similar to how bills are currently managed. By automating the connection between Xero's payroll system and Crezco, users could avoid the manual process of downloading payroll documents, uploading them to Crezco, and processing payments. This streamlined approach would significantly reduce administrative tasks and improve overall productivity.

  17. Xero uses 4 decimal places when calculating leave accruals. As it doesn't use the standard 5 decimal places, like most payroll software, the amount of leave entitlement that you record from this in the liability account in the balance sheet and P&L expense is more than it should be.

    But the bigger problem this is causing is the fact that it is actually giving the employee more accrued leave than they are entitled to.

  20. UK Payroll - allow employers who have received SMP advance funding to enter the amount received so that the SMP paid is not recovered, and the correct amount owing to HMRC shows on the Taxes and Filings page.
