For businesses who have missed the cut off for lodging superannuation guarantees to the clearing house by the 28th day of the month following end of the quarter, it would be really helpful to have a system-generated reminder to submit their Superannuation Guarantee Charge Statement and penalty payment before the 28th day of the following month. Many businesses are not aware of this penalty, nor the due dates to submit the required report and payment (including obtaining the need to obtain a Payment Reference Number) to the ATO.   2. Would be great if you could pay the IRD PAYE when you pay the employees in the same payroll batch. This is already a function with Flexitime Payhero and doesn’t rely on staff making the IRD PAYE payment manually. If Xero had this function there would never be any late IRD PAYE payments as its getting paid to IRD when the employees are paid.

  3. We would like to know which invoices or contacts are not set up to collect payments via Direct Debit from GoCardless, so we can proactively target them to move to Direct Debit. Whilst Xero knows this information, they've confirmed there's no way to report on it and it will be very helpful to have

  4. Xero Projects - Group estimated expenses
    It would be helpful to be able to set up categories to group together estimated expenses. For projects with lots of different expenses but of a similiar type it would be useful to be able to group these to more quickly see the various costs of a project. For example, to separate out administrative costs from material costs at a glance, so there would be a 'category' into which we could put tasks, estimated expenses and expenses to distinguish from other major costs while still tracking individual costs against the specific estimate.

  5. We need the ability to delete a custom report. Many times a custom report is necessary for a period of time then no longer needed. I see no way to delete it. That would be VERY helpful.

  6. Can you please add a missing tax invoice declaration form option in the expense app that aligns with ATO requirements so that I can complete within the expense app rather than completing a form outside of Xero and attaching it.

    Thanks for your idea, Joe. To better understand the use case and maybe help others who'd be after the same connect with your idea here - Are there any scenarios or situations you generally find when viewing a contact and wanting to view the very next or last contact in a list? 

  8. Please adjust the Leave Authorisers in Xero Me to be the employees in the business with Payroll Admin &/or the Authority to Approve Leave.
    Currently all user with PAyroll Admin are available for selection - which includes ALL advisors.
    As an accountant - we are having to revoke our access to a client's payroll to ensure that the staff in the client's business cannot select the accountant's staff members to approve their leave.

  9. Until this month, this was not an issue. However this month Xero has taken away the ability to send the superannuation SMS authorisation code to international numbers. What happens when you change a number or move overseas but still work for the company. Why take this away? Without discussion with your customers. If it's not broken, why is Xero trying to fix it?

    Appreciate you sharing ideas from your own clients, David. It'd be great to know more of how this could help their business or the reasons why they'd like to see the post code in this report specifically. 

    Atm, if needing a full list of contacts and their post codes perhaps an export from Contacts would be of use. Thanks

  12. When editing a paid bill, for example, changing the VAT rate, where you have to Remove the Payment first before editing line items, could there be a function to Remove all Payments rather than one by one clicking remove and re-do.

    We often have bills paid in installments, or electricity bills paid by Direct Debit, so we have to remove 10 payments one by one in order to make any changes to the original bill.

  13. Bank Feed - During month-end we have more than 250 lines to import per day for the wages. The import function on Xero is for less than that per day, so we have to do some lines manually.. Will you please increase the import function on the lines per day?

  15. It would be nicer if the Tabs were Named "My Business" "Advisor" "Standard" "Draft" "Published" and "Archived" in that order so the default Tab would be custom reports for this business. Many users never look past the "Home" tab, and never see the custom Reports.

  16. Using Inventory Items and invoicing between companies in a group which have identical Item numbers, can the item numbers be brought in / read at the receiving end?

    Currently the bill is entered without the items and does not have any affect on the inventory. All the lines on the bills need to be re entered when the item is populated in the bill.

  17. We have just changed a lot of our clients over from MYOB where we could get supplier account numbers, IRD numbers etc in the bank feed details, and could then set bank rules for them based on the supplier account number or IRD no & tax type etc.

    With many transactions Xero gives us a lot less information. Often the supplier account number is missing, or IRD tax type & IRD number are missing - along with many other details. This makes using bank rules impossible for many transactions, and takes a lot longer to reconcile manually as we have…
