  1. To minimise additional payroll payment processing it would be great to have the ability to pay employees from more than one Company bank account using the Payroll Batch payment functionality i.e Employee 1,2,3,4 gets paid from Bank Account A and Employee 5,6,7,8 gets paid from Bank Account B.

  2. It would help if you could add a payment link on Draft Invoices, customers could pay before the order is manufactured or picked then you approve it and allocate the payment. We send out a lot of invoices that need to be paid before delivery, if we have to send out approved ones and they do not pay we have to remember to go in and delete the invoice. If they were in drafts you could look at draft invoices and know exactly who has not paid.

The new invoicing page design has created a bloated feature-packed version of invoicing that, whilst great for companies who regularly email or print invoices for posting, is an absolute pain in the proverbial to navigate for companies such as ours who only create invoices for accounting purposes, and never send them out.

  4. Can I ask why Xero thought the new sales format works and looks better. It does not flow with dataentry. You have moved the save/update button to top of screen which means when a business now starts to enter a draft sale and it has a number of lines you have to now scroll to the top of the page where as before it appeared close to your last entry line. The font is now larger which I personally find takes up more of the screen so you have to change formats all the time. Can we please have the…

I'm invoicing for June, and I'm clicking "add last items" so that I can copy and paste the descriptions, and it added the items from the last paid invoice and not the last invoice - I know because the last invoice had line items for May, and it added the line items from April. The May invoice for the client I'm invoicing is still open but the April one is paid and closed.

    I just want the thing to do what it says on the box.

  6. Currently you can only remove clients who you don't want to get reminders however for our company it would be easier to pick the clients we do want to get reminders.

    This could potentially be done by having reminder settings set for groups in the contacts section. That way we can choose terms for each type of client. This would allow us to change terms for clients that have different reminder requirements. Some clients need daily reminders while others might only need weekly reminders.

  7. Massive oversight by Xero.
    E-Invoicing only available to VAT registered companies as you have to enter a VAT number. What about all the non-registered companies?
    Why can't you select that you aren't VAT registered and be able to benefit by E-Invoicing?

  8. Ability to send a single remittance per supplier including all invoices paid in the batch. Since the new Crezco payment facility has been introduced we now have to send a single remittance for every invoice paid even though the payment was a batch. This is very time consuming when you make hundreds of purchases from the same supplier each month.

When showing a list of statements to send (from Business - Invoices - Send Statements) from Send Statements, can the invoice number be shown on the screen so sorting can be done on invoice number. Also the date of the invoice would be handy as well to give an idea of when first looking at the front screen as to how old they are. It would make choosing and sending quicker and more efficient.

  10. I think being able to connect a barcode scanner to xero to allow users to create a new invoice and scan items to have them appear as line items would be very beneficial to many customers. A lot of people use xero to resell items and if i could create a new invoice and instead of manually type everything, to just scan the UPC and have the item pop up would help prevent human errors

  11. We cannot see/create leave liability in our reports and/or our balance sheet.
    I wonder how a true business value is going to be shown on balance sheet without this liability.

    To be frank and honest, it is not an idea, but quite basic necessity.

  12. Recipient-Created Tax Invoices (RCTI) are a normal thing in some industries. Xero is not set up to create them; instead we have to do a workaround with purchase orders.

    I'd like to not have to use the workaround.

    The workaround consists of:
    - creating RCTI branding themes
    - creating a purchase order for each entity needing RCTIs
    - edit that purchase order with the new details every time creation of an RCTI is needed (so in labour hire this can be every week for each contractor)

    Hi everyone, we really appreciate those that have been testing and sharing back on their experience with our beta for sending invoices via SMS. We've had great results and are moving forward to release this to all users in Australia to begin.

    As we roll this out this'll mean those that have been trialing this for us will lose access for a short period of time, but I'll round back to confirm once it's been released to everyone in AU 😊Thanks!

  14. We are forwarding inbound invoice emails to the Xero processing address, but, many suppliers send multiple copies (up to 5 or 6) saying "Invoice", "Invoice due in x -7 days", "Invoice due today", "Invoice paid", each with the invoice.

    Going through the duplicates screen is time consuming.

    Please make this easier for bulk actions:

    1) a keep this and delete others (in a group)
    2) a delete all (in a group) - sometimes we get statements or similar sent and right now we can delete the duplicates but have to go back to the invoice list to delete the original.

    Invoice Preview: In the old version, previewing a sent invoice shows how many days remain until it is due or how many days it is overdue. However, the new version does not provide this information, it would be efficient and faster to get this info right away

    Thanks for the feedback, Jodi. When you say you'd like to add the Due date I'm guessing this would be as a column to the report? One thing that would make this tricky is where you have multiple due dates for a customer with multiple invoices in the period the reports being run - what date would you expect to show here?

  17. In Australia, users need to be able to manually edit the amount of GST paid on a transaction. This is required because certain transactions (particularly grocery and pharmacy transactions) have a mixture of items, some of which have GST applied, and some that do not. Unfortunately, the receipts for these types of transactions do not indicate which specific items have incurred GST - they just have a total amount of GST paid on that receipt. As such, it would be great if users could just override the total amount of GST paid for those receipts. See attached for an example…

    Hi Eilish, is there are particular way your staff are recording how they bill customers through your Xero organisation atm? - e.g are you using Projects, or Tracking?

    As you noted there maybe a report that we an suggest that'll fully serve your needs in this here.

  19. I would like to be able to flag or log a Xero issue, without having to raise a case.
    Sometimes my colleagues and I are having the same issue at the same time with Xero. Eg. Dashboard not displaying correctly, unable to change organisation from the dropdown menu. But when we go to https://status.xero.com/ everything is showing as "Operational".

    An option of being able to click onto a region; setting; choose the issue would be great. That means that Xero could be alerted quickly if there is a wider issue, or if it's an isolated issue.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting to help Xero identify and raise issues asap. While we may consider changes to this overtime, to be upfront there are no immediate plans for changing the current method to raise these sort of issues with us. There are a number of troubleshooting steps our specialists will work through with a customer to rule out external factors that could be impacting your experience with Xero, and they'll get the right detail to investigate, triage and escalate if the cause does appear to stem from within the product.

    One area we know customers can commonly run into trouble with is bank feeds, and we do have work going on atm to enable customers to send us an alert if they are experiencing trouble with a bank accounts feed from within their organisation. You can stay up to date with progress for this, on this idea.

  20. Awaiting payment - max 200 bills.
    I have a supplier who I pay monthly and there are always over 200 bills. I want to make one batch payment for the whole amount, but currently I have to do it on two - the first 200 bills, and then the remaining. Please can this 200 limit be increased?
