Bank reconciliation | Add a border to 'Discuss' box if there is a suggested match
Put a green border around the discuss box (in the dashboard reconcile tab) if there is a potential matched docket from queries so you don't have to click to the match button for every item to see if the ones you have processed were a match.

AU Payroll - Search by Employee across all of Payroll reports
Search by Employee across all of Payroll reports. We have 110 - 120 staff, currently we have to scroll down to find the right employee, can we have a standards search by employee. ie/ start typing their name and then hit enter
9 votesHi Belinda, to check in on your idea here are you looking for similar to the Pay History report that allows you to search the employee versus drop down and select as you do in the Leave Transactions report?

Checks - Control Printing Order
I haven't yet been able to determine what order checks print selected bills in, and they seemingly change their sort order if you select them to print again. Is there a way to control the order they print in to come out alphabetically by payee, so that we can more efficiently match them up to the letters they need mailed out with? Or, have a way to select how you want them sorted (i.e. by payee, memo, etc.) on the Pay by Check screen when printing multiple bills?

Sales Overview - Colour Code Listing
Can you colour code each row in the "Sales Overview > Invoices" based on "status" so that paid invoice listings are "green", waiting payment are "orange" and overdue are perhaps "red"? At the moment the "Sent" column is the only colour coded column which shows "green" whether the invoice is just "sent" or "viewed" which doesn't make it easy to know which invoice to chase for payment.

Fixed Asset - Drafts include purchase documents from when transaction is recorded
Would be fantastic if when a fixed asset purchase is recorded and a document is included with the transaction, this document is also recorded in the draft fixed asset window. This would help as reference when moving the asset from draft to registered.

Manual Journals: Backdate repeating manual journals past last financial year
Have the ability to create Manual Repeat Journals for older date ranges (3 years ago). The current restrictions on this should be allowed once a Lock Date is implemented.
Otherwise you get an error like:
The Next Journal Date entered is prior to the start of your previous financial year. This is very fustrating.

Contacts - Save and exit
Contacts. I would like to say the upgraded version of contacts is clunky, and would prefer the older system over this 'new upgraded' system. Having to 'save and exit' before adding all other contact details is adding more steps to an otherwise simple process. Thanks
4 votesHi Vashte, appreciate change can take a little getting used to.
However, we can help you out here! While the Save and exit is always available when adding or editing a contact you can simply click through each section.
The detail you enter between section will hold until you leave the page - So, you can enter in all your details before selecting Save and exit.

CIS - Verify Subcontractor without specifying CIS rate
Using the new Contracts form, when verifying a subcontractor, you are now asked to enter the CIS Tax Rate (Gross, 20% or 30%) before you verify the subcontractor.
You cannot save and verify with HMRC unless this field is completed. Without verification, you cannot be certain as to the tax rate. The error could occur where you choose a rate for the purpose of being able to 'save and verify'. If the verification failed and you required to speak to the contact, or in most cases wait for HMRC to add a subcontractor to the CIS scheme which is currently up to 28 days. In the meantime, you have an incorrect tax rate saved on the subcontractors profile. From a bulk invoicing view, no warning system is available so invoices can be incorrectly processed leading to overpayments.
Either Xero need to remove CIS Rate as a required field for 'Save and Verify' process or an additional Not yet Verified value is required on the drop down.
The old contact form was working fine with regards to managing verification processes for subcontractors?

UK Payroll - Automatically update Employee salary
If a pay increase is implemented across the board then currently, the only way to amend employees salary amount is to enter each record manually. If you have a large number of employees this is extremely time consuming.
If a salary scale was used and assigned to employee records, it could be uplifted by a percentage and all records would automatically update.

Reconciliation - Default to classic Statement Import screen
The new way of importing bank statements does not work for our company.
Can XERO allow a permanent setting to default to classic import instead of having to switch there manually every time?1 vote -
Invoices List - Show totals of items selected
On an invoice search from 'All' or 'Paid' Invoices - it would be useful to able to select any or all invoices, and see the £ total of the items selected. This function exists in the Invoices 'Awaiting Payments', and 'Drafts'. On the 'Paid' invoice section, you can select the invoices but it does not show you the total £, only number of items selected. From the 'All' section there is no ability to select any invoices. It would be great if in all sections where you wanted to you can select any / all invoices and it calculates the total of the selection next to the 'copy to' button.

UK Payroll - Option to choose a date to send EE payslips
The option to choose a date to send EE payslips would be a huge help , when you are running multiply payrolls this option would be invaluable. I may run a payroll on the 10th of the month yet payday is 30th so need to remember to log in and send payslips on the 29th. Takes a lot of time up.

receipt goods in Xero
7 votesThanks for posting, Peoples Coffee.
While we'll track the interest of this here, I to be open that we don't have plans to expand Purchase Orders for this capability in the near term.
You may find this discussion where a community member has explained a little more.

Be able to integrate the payroll calendar on Xero with iCal, so approved annual leave automatically appears in my iCal without having to duplicate entries, and updates if someone changes their leave on Xero.

Invoice Template - Make organisation email address a mandatory field
On the invoice template a mandatory field to be completed of the business email address. Majority on Xero invoices sent don't have an email address which makes it difficult to contact the business via email.
7 votesThanks for the confirmation, Andrew and Sue. While it's possible to add the organisations email in the Contact details field of a Standard branding theme, and could be inserted as Static text on an Advanced template, appreciate there is no specific field for this atm, and why you may like to make this mandatory or a default on the template.
We'll leave your idea for making this mandatory here and you may like to also join this idea for providing as a specific field for this in advanced templates. Being open it's not something we have direct plans for atm, but we'll keep an eye on the interest here and share if there's any plans made.

AU Payroll - Flag when terminated employees are included in a draft pay run
Could we please have a flag for a terminated employee who has been paid in an unscheduled pay run (but included in the current pay run).
Xero continues to create a standard pay for the terminated employee despite the employee having been terminated.
If the employee was flagged as having been terminated it would prompt the processor to check and potentially eliminate the risk of overpayment.5 votes
