  1. any way to assign properties to Customers?

    example - we hire 10ft, 20ft and 40ft containers, so for every customer I tick their appropriate container.

    this way if i need a report on all customers who have a 20ft container, job is easy and fast

    In Sap B1 this is available as per pic attached

  2. Today, I received an email from Xero, enthusing about the upcoming feature called JAX "Just Ask Xero". Apparently, this is a generative AI assistant.

    Once it goes live, I will want to know how to turn it off. I will never use it - if I need help creating an invoice, there's a help file for that, and checking an AI's work takes as long or longer than just doing it myself in the first place - and see no reason to waste processing resources on something I will never use.   3. Hi Team, my query is about Draft Invoices. Is there any chance of having a 'Stop do you want to proceed' when it comes to a draft invoice being sent instead of the actual Invoice? I was convinced that I had approved a draft invoice, yet when the email was sent, it was not the Invoice as per the subject reference, but the draft. Embarrassing to say the least.
    Just that extra step would be very helpful. Not the first time it has happened to us. Thank you,

  5. Please implement a feature allowing users to add billable expenses assigned to Projects directly to an existing draft invoice.

    Currently, users can only add billable expenses directly to a draft invoice if the expense is assigned to a Customer. When expenses are assigned to a Project, they can only be invoiced through Projects. This causes issues when an expense assigned to a Project is has been missed, and needs to be added to the draft invoice. The current workaround requires deleting the draft invoice and starting the invoicing process again, which is time-consuming and inefficient.

  6. Currently if termination date falls in the middle of a pay cycle, the final pay run will not calculate the staff pay pro rata and therefore payroll admin has to manually update the payslip. Please include this feature so Xero constructs the payslip taking into consideration the termination date whilst still using the employee card details (rates, deductions etc etc).

  13. If we cannot put a warning against the bad payers, surely it cannot be that hard to be able to change the customers business names into another color (Red) So when you search or create a new invoice, alarm bells will ring and hopefully avoid more loss

    Hi Todd, have you seen credit limits? These will allow you to set a limit to how much spending a customer can make with your business. When they reach that limit you can also choose whether to restrict invoicing for that customer. This may help with the scenario you're noting here.

    It would be great to be able to pay contractors (who are paid Super) in Payroll and have an option for GST. I feel the Contractor payments aren't user friendly for most small business as they have subcontractors and contractors where only GST is added and no PAYG tax is deducted.

My Idea: Somewhere to enter a prepaid annual or longterm expense (ie Insurance) that can first go into a Prepaid Expenses asset account and then set to either expense at regular intervals until "used up" or able to manually expense as periods come to a close. This manager would help keep track of all prepaid expenses in one place and would keep a running balance for each item. Viewing options would include being able to filter/sort by item (ie 2023 Insurance Premium), or by type (ie software subscriptions) or by expense account (ie Insurance Expense).

  17. I normally add a copy(email download or photo) of any bill when loading it to Xero. It is easy to do with emailed bills but lets say a coffee bill, can take a lot of time. (Taking a photo, email it, download it and add it)

    It would have been nice taking a photo of the bill through the Xero app to load it as a bill, from your phone.

  18. For some reason "standard users" cannot see Manual Journals in the accounting menu.

    Please allow standard users to access Manual Journals from the Accounting menu rather than having to go to reports. Its just a time waster.

  19. Can you please consider adding an option under Employee> Leave to sort by employee first name. You already had an option to sort by surname however it would be great to also be able to sort by first name. Thanks
