Payroll Activity Detail Report (AU & NZ) - Definition of employees in the report
The new Payroll Activity Detail Report is very hard to read when there is more than a couple of employees.
I understand that the new report format has been designed to reflect the other updated reports in Xero. However, so that it is more user-friendly, can we have:
1 - A blank line between each employee so that it is easier to see quickly where one employee's details cease and the next employee's details start.
2 - Highlight the employee name by shading that line, again to make it easy to see where each employee starts on the report.Are there any other formatting ideas people have?

MTD for Income Tax (Employed Income)
As well as my self-employment, I received income through Employment that currently I cannot declare through Xero's MTD for Income Tax implementation, and therefore I cannot use Xero for filing. The addition of allowing me to declare income through Employment via Xero would allow me and others like me to do so.

New invoicing - Ability to view as tax exclusive (when entered inclusive)
In the "New version of Invoicing" disappeared an amazing function - when you open an invoice after it has been approved, it always displays as tax exclusive, even if you entered it as tax inclusive. In the new version if you approved an invoice tax inclusive it ONLY shows it as tax inclusive. Can you please add the feature of seeing both versions of the same invoice.
And another feature that disappeared in the new version is to see account number, not just the name of the account. Can you add it back too? We don't have any immediate plans for changing this but I'll be sure to let you know if there's any change.
We have a separate idea tracking the ability to view the account number that I'd recommend joining for any information or updates around this.

When invoicing, i usually do in large batches. The save and close function should be second, with save and add another first. Or have the option to edit so it comes first for me?

We've added small prompts to highlight these shortcut combinations in product, and if you’d like to view the full list of options you can view them all on Xero Central.
While save options were explored as part of this work, the only keyboard shortcut right now is Save & close (Alt-Shift-C).
Another option you may want to test for yourself is the '/i' keyboard shortcut. As new invoicing has auto save when you're ready to add another invoice, you could simply type '/i' on your screen. This will open the global search in the blue header with options to go to All invoice, or Create new invoice which you could either click or use Tab to select.

Customer Support - View case responses without having to log into Xero Central
When we receive communication from Xero regarding a case query, it is necessary to log into Xero again to read the answer
This is time consuming and annoying- would love a fix for this.

NZ Payroll - Edit the layout of employees payslips
We have multiple employees that have various deductions from their wages. This is causing the pay slip to spread accross two pages which is concerning as they may miss important information like messages at the bottom of a pay slip.
There needs to be the either:
1. The ability to change the payslip layout
or
2. Have two or three template options to choose from.Currently the whitespace at the top of the payslip could be utilised. The required business and employee information is great but could be in a better layout. Move the business information to the left, employee information up and the employee name an address moved higher up the page so everything else will move up. I hope that makes sense!

Fixed Assets - Delete wrongly created General Pool in Xero Blue
Looking for deleting wrongly created General Pool, which were created during the conversion of file to Xero Blue. Currently we can record an end date to the pool, but it doesn't stop the previous pools to stop appearing on the 'Run Depreciation' screen. No balances recorded, no movement at all.

Remittance Advice - View emails sent for batch payments
When looking at the notes of a batch payment, it says "remittance advice emails were sent to 16 suppliers" - but I can't see anywhere that will tell me which 16 suppliers & which email addresses they were sent to. It would be great if I could see that.

Billable Expenses - Tickbox to remove outstanding expense from multiple bills at a time
If an item has been billed manually or your stuck with some items in billable expenses you have to open every bill and remove the client from the items that are have not been billed.

Quote - Formatting options in summary section
Quote- Multiple formatting options in the "Summary" section.
In the service delivery business the quotation is also your proposal. Having the ability to use bulleting or numbering as well as bold text or underlining would greatly improve the look and feel of your proposal when the "Summary" section is used to describe and summarize the work or project you are quoting on.

I would like to be able to select multiple unassigned expenses in projects to apply to an estimated expense at once.

Projects - Allow approval signature for Project time entries
It would be good to have customer or site supervisor sign off time entry's when created, and even a way to send copy of signed time entry to task
4 votesHey Jason, really appreciate you putting this idea forward. Getting a customer sign-off on project time entries just makes sense, it’s one of those things that can save a lot of hassle down the line.
Having a built-in digital sign-off could bring extra clarity and confidence for both you and your customers, creating a clear record of approval before invoicing. It’s a simple step that could save time and build trust in your projects.
At the moment, Xero Projects doesn’t offer a built-in way to collect customer signatures, but it’s clear this could be a helpful addition for many of you.
