BNZ Direct Bank feeds - Add extra instructions during set up
When clients are activating new BNZ Direct Bank feeds for new Bank a/cs from Xero, many are getting caught out accidently adding into Xero other BNZ bank a/cs listed on BNZ online because they are not specifying the don't connect option for other bank a/cs that are not related to their business. If they don't select any option for other listed bank a/cs, these Bank a/cs get auto set up with a bank feed in the Xero they are currently logged into.

Multicurrency - Automatically update prices for currency invoices
When generating quotes or invoices in foreign currencies, the amount should get automatically converted based on the current conversion rate. At the moment this needs to be done manually as the system just changes the currency without actually converting the value. This can be quite tedious if there are a large number of items or prices in an invoice.

Purchase orders - Expand Overview columns to fit the width of the page
Please change the table view on the Business --> Purchase Orders (Purchase Order Overview) to be the same as the Invoice Overview, which expands to fill the width of the page, as the current Purchases Overview is truncated and you cannot see pertinent purchase order details; like the PO name as an example.

Contact Bank Activity Graph
Reinstate the bank activity graph for contacts (clients) which used to enable us to see all bank activity for all bank accounts on the client contact page. Give us back our credit control eyes!

We are Charitable organisation. We are interested in preparing donors list with the amount of donation received every month and to date as an on going basis.
Source of funds are through Bank Accounts and EFTPOS terminal.
Will your accounting system can produce such data. 99% of our transactions are cash / Debit or Credit card or bank transfer basis. As such Supplier Ledger or Debtors Ledger has to be used as Donors Ledger.

Bills - Enter days for bills due
Hi
Please can we have the ability to change the settings on suppliers bills due date to move than 31 days of the following month. We have several suppliers where we do not need to pay until 60 days after the end of the month in which the bill is issued.

2 votesThanks for sharing here, Karen. To just get a better understanding would this be when creating a new bill, or perhaps a repeating bill? It'll be handy when sharing back with the team.
You could set up defaults in your Contacts to auto enter the due date for example as 60 days after the end of the invoice month, or similarly with a repeating bill you could set this up in the template.

AU Payroll - Code leave to account other than Salary and Wages
It would be great if we could code annual leave to another account code other than salary and wages. Currently we manually journal these costs to another account in the ledger to separate them. This helps with reporting wages like for like.

Allocate Credit - View total at top and option to sort
It would be nice if the "Allocate Credit Balance" screen could be changed:
Sometimes there are a lot of invoices to be matched to one overpayment or to one big credit note. The practice is to allocate the credit towards the older outstanding invoices, first. The credit total available to match, is shown at the bottom. This means you have to keep scrolling to the bottom to see what amount is still left to allocate. Bank Reconciliation - Restrict Bank Transfers
When transferring money between bank accounts in Xero - it would be good to restrict the user to only making the transfer if there is actually a matching transaction in the other account. As it is currently, the user can make the transfer and then it sits in the unreconciled payments or receipts for a bookkeeper to tidy up later on.

Inventory - Column to show date of last price update
Inventory - have a column on the main products/services page that shows when the last price update was made so able to know if the latest price is shown. Would feed from the individual product/service item. Would be super helpful to know for tradespeople so they know they are charging the items at the latest price.

Dashboard - New updated "look" and Shortcuts to main features
I would love to see a newer updated "look" similar to what Freshbooks or Quickbooks Online has. They have a very streamlined look. I like how they have the tabs on the side that say "invoice" and "expenses" without having to go through the dropdown menus.

The '+' icon next to Search in the blue banner enables you to create a range of different document types, similarly there are shortcuts that can be entered in Search from the blue navigation bar that will take you to different features such as bank accounts, the files library or reports. Invoicing - Import discount as an amount when importing invoices
When importing bulk invoices, have the ability to upload discounts as a dollar amount and not as a %.

Reports - When running the GL detail report on a Cash Basis, show the description of invoices & bills
As payments are applied to invoices or bills, you can't see the description detail on a cash basis report (no problem with an accrual detailed general ledger though).
The old general ledger (export function) enabled you to see the description on both accrual & cash.
Seems illogical?!

Payable Invoice Details report - Option to display bank details
Need option to display supplier bank details when running the supplier payments bank report. Key for bank approvers to easily verify bank details for supplier payments.

Invoices - Generate email delivery receipt
When sending an email from an email client, you have the ability to ask for a delivery receipt - for notification when the email arrives at the destination server. I'd like the same ability when I send an invoice by email from Xero.
Currently, in order to get an email delivery receipt, I have to send the invoice to myself via Xero (so that I have the links in the email correct) and then forward using an email client to the customer. Obviously, from an audit trail point of view, this is suboptimal.

VAT excel export - Date column should default to date format
Dates should default to date format when exporting the VAT return to excel.
Currently when exporting the VAT return to excel that dates automatically default to either text or general format. This means you can't filter the dates by oldest to newest as the filter selection defaults to A-Z.
Changing the date to date format via format cells does not fix the issue. The only way I have found is to manually update the dates using the =DATEVALUE(x) formula and paste these new values over the old ones. This can be very tedious when working with a lot of late…

Au Payroll - Exclude team pay rates from timesheets
When you invite an employee to xero me for the purpose of submitting their timesheet, there is a drop down menu for the payrate. In this drop down, it shows 'Self' payrate (the payrate of the person submitting the time sheet) and also 'Team' payrate, a list of all the different payrates of the company. Why would you want an employee to be able to see the different payrates of the team?
This seems like a flaw in the system to me and an employee should only be able to see the payrate that applies to them.
