Tracking report - Category item count
Tracking category—I would appreciate being able to create a report that lists the number of times a particular tracking category is allocated in a particular time frame.

Invoice - Show delivery address under business name
In the Standard Invoice template - the delivery address currently shows in the middle column, rather than under the name of the business. This is confusing if a business has multiple locations, with one centralised billing address. It means that the centralised billing office can't easily see which location the invoice is for/items were delivered to.
It would be better to show the delivery address under the name of the "To" so it's obvious which location the items were delivered to with the name and the corresponding details of address and contact person.5 votes -
Report - Add/remove highlighting from main drafts report page
We used to have the option to add/remove highlighting in a text box directly from the main page of draft reports, however this feature was removed and now we can only Bold/Italics/Underline/Bullet point, but no highlight.
It would be great if we could add this function back in, so we didn't have to go to 'Edit Layout' to change add/remove highlighting anymore.

New invoicing - Default quantity of 1 for invoice lines
In the New Invoicing Template you have to enter a Qty for every line as the default Qty is "0"... In the classic version and what we are all used to it's "1".. As a ball park guess I'd say the use of Zero qty on a line is a lot less common than any other number from 0-9 and I'd guess most lines are a qty of x1.. If I wanted to default my qty's to Zero, I can not see the point in making invoices :)))) Come on who made Zero a default qty for invoicing??

Aged Payables Report - Group by Planned Date
Allow the Aged Payables Report to be grouped by the Planned Date.
1 voteHi Alison, while there's no direct option to group by Planned date in the Aged Payables Detail report atm, if you change Group to None, once run you can click the Planned Date column header within the report to re-order by this field and it'll group all payable invoices by Planned Date.

Bills list - Move direct linkage to bill away from check box
Often I will be selecting the checkbox on a number of bills, and I will misclick and click on the surrounding whitespace of the checkbox. This currently is acting as a link and opening the bill for edit; which means if I just spent my time selecting a number of bills (Usually checking them off one by one while I review some details on another screen) that now my previous selections have now been lost.
Change the surrounding whitespace clickbox to select/unselect the checkbox rather than linking to the edit bill. At the very least, just make it not link to the edit bill. Thank you!

UK Payroll - Allow Separate Ledger posting for director national insurance
There is currently only one default setting for NI contributions to be made to. It is though necessary to separate out employee and director costs. Even direct employees and overhead categorised employees. Other pay items allow postings to different ledger accounts but not NI deductions. Would just save a lot of manual journal posting to correct payroll run postings.

Budget Reports - Ability hide selected accounts
The ability to remove the nominal accounts from a budget or show only selection of nominal accounts on a budget report. This would be useful so we can send budget owners a reports which shows only the budget lines that they are interested in and keeps actuals and forecasts in other nominal codes confidential.

Contacts - Restore deleted files / Prompt to confirm when removing
Move the Delete button away from preview in files attached to contacts.
So many times, I have accidently deleted files attached to contacts. The delete button is right next to the preview. There is no way to restore once deleted..13 votes -
Client's financial year summary - Single Donation receipt(AU)
As a NFP receiving multiple donations from multiple donors, we require summary of donations/purchases made by the donor/client as a single receipt including each donation/payment's invoice number, date paid, individual amount paid, total amount paid. The summary will need to include the NFP's logo, ABN, etc.

Checks - URL for a specific check
Allow linking directly to the details of a specific check (used to pay a bill). Something like: https://xero.com/check_id_goes_here
When we export checks from our ERP to Xero, we store the Xero check ID in the ERP. It would be very handy to be able to link from the ERP directly to the corresponding entry in Xero.

Attach Notes to the month column.
Attach Notes to the month column.
I produce monthly P&L custom reports and add explanatory notes for large variations etc., when I add a new month column, the notes are stuck to the column number rather than the month, eg. I add January, but the variation notes I entered for December are now on the January column and I have to unattach them then reattach them to the correct column.1 vote -
Purchase Orders - Update the Send Email options
Purchase Orders Send Email Features.
This is to request the Product team to please also update the Send Email settings for the Purchase Order to make work efficient and clear to multiple recipients if they are only on CC.
Attached the screenshot of the latest update Xero had made for Invoice Send Email in which the CC and BCC is in the sending option. It is very helpful for the multiple receiver where in the business communication, we need to CC multiple emails than putting every email in the sending to space.2 votes -

AU Payroll - Process irregular pay runs
If an employer pays irregular wages, there is not option in the calendar or the employee card.
It would be great to assign irregular pay runs to the employee card.4 votes -
CIS - Resubmission Reminder/notification
At the moment Xero allows you to change a CIS invoice etc that effects the CIS return that you have already submitted. It doesn't tell you that it would need to be resubmitted or that your action will effect your CIS report. Would it be possible for Xero to alert you that your action will effect the CIS report already submitted and advise you to resubmit it.

AU Payroll - Extend 90 day limit for payment date
Xero Payroll restricts the payment date to no more than 90 days after the end of the payroll period. This isn't a legal or taxation limitation, but does restrict the occassions where clients are paying payroll in less regular intervals (such as paying their entire salary annually).
3 votesHi team, while we appreciate the request here, considering compliance requirements for payroll in AU we want to be upfront that we don't have plans for changing the ability to set the payment date beyond 90 days.
For any employees that you may pay on an annual salary basis, we'd recommend setting the payment date 90 days before the employee's annual pay date.
