Navigation - Remove extra step when changing organisation
For those of us that have multiple entities in Xero - Somewhere along the way an extra step (click) has been added when changing from one entity to another, you can no longer just choose your required entity from the drop-down menu (in the top left-hand corner), but now have to click on the drop-down menu and then click 'Change organisation' to show and select your entity.
Are we able to remove this unneccessary extra step (click) and have it back how it was originally?

Subscription - Make billing clearer, including an itemised breakdown
Xero billing: Please make the packages pricing clearer on the monthly invoices.
i.e. please add the package elements breakdown. It doesn't have to be a separate line item, it could even just be added to the text description, but showing one price, as per the invoices from xero, does not explicity explain that there is a breakdown for items mentioned. Seeing this clarity on the monthly invoices is very helpful for ensuring transparency from xero to its customers. Also, months - or years - down the line it is hard to remember what the package elements cost unless so having this detail would be helpful. Find & Recode - Ability to split transactions
A function within Find and Recode that can split code each transaction by a percentage.
This could be an additional button next to the Recode button called "Split" which brings up a pop-up window like Recode does.

Reporting - Cash Based Accounting Inventory Sales Reports
Xero offers users the ability to select between cash-based accounting and accrual-based accounting for financial reports. However, a major problem is that the inventory sales reports are based only on accrual-based accounting. This means the financial reports and inventory sales reports are never consistent. Please add the ability to run cash-based accounting reports for inventory sales (sales by item, etc.).

Deposit for Paid Invoices
Greetings,
Xero offers an outstanding process for depositing Invoices with Awaiting Payments (pictured below). Our business does not use this feature because invoices are paid immediately.
Why there is no similar process for Paid Invoices (cash)? It seems of utmost importance.
I believe numerous businesses would benefit greatly from having this feature for Paid Invoices as it will increase efficiency, accuracy, and allow for more streamlined bookkeeping.

CA Tax - PST bill should have commission amount flow onto it
The PST bill that is generated from the report should included the entire PST collected and a second line to the PST commission.

Batch Deposit - Auto Fill Reference Field
The Contact Financial Details Reference field used to be populated with the last reference entered for a customer in the Customer Invoice Batch Clearing reference field. I have many customers paying by ACH or Zelle and have the same reference information each week. For my customers that I have had for a long time the reference field is copied from the Contact Financial Details Reference. But for any new Customers this functionality does not work and the field is blank in Batch Clearing. So I have to enter the reference for each blank line on the batch. Please add the functionality to reduce keying.

Bank Reconciliation - Files preview for transactions in Find & Match
When reconciling, it would be helpful to see if an attachment has been added, and to preview that attachment if so, rather than having to open the bill and then click on the attachment, then causing to lose the info on the reconciliation page.

Batch payment - Attach files
To attach proof/evidence of multi receipts/payments when that batch is a mix of invoice and also pre/overpayment, credit. We can attach to a single type of action, but not mixed. Keeps things tidy and also much quicker to see what exactly was in a batch, than to go back to a physical document holder

Invoicing - Ability to copy & paste to create invoice
I have worked with an accounting system that allows many rows e.g. description, Qty, Price, Account and Tax rate to be copied from Excel (at a go) and pasted to create an invoice, Journal etc. This saves a lot of time.

Invoicing - Move 'Amounts are' drop down to right side of page
When adding an invoice we can add an amount and make it either Vat inclusive or exclusive using the drop down box.
Currently this box is on the left side of the invoice layout..why not have it on the right next to the total box as it was in classic view?

Being open we don't have any plans for changing the placement of the Amounts are field. However it'd still be good to track the interest in this from our community here that our team can consider.

Ability to charge a credit card on file
It would streamline workflow if there was a feature that allowed us to store a client's credit card on file and when a single invoice is sent out to the client, the business can charge the card on file.
In previous invoicing systems, I was able to "store" a client's credit card on file and then invoice and charge the credit card on file. This is an important feature for my business as it removes the burden off my clients for paying the invoice and reduces the amount of follow up on my end for collecting payment.

Xero Projects - Add separate field for Project Number
Is there a way that within Xero Projects, we could have a field for "Project Number" and a seperate field for "Project Name".
Unfortunately we have found that some duplication of project numbers can happen within Xero as the project name and project number are within the same field.80 votes -
Bill Payments - Payment service for South Africa
Supplier bill payments for South Africa for payments and debit orders that directly pulls from Xero, like being done in the UK with Crezco, which can be done with Paysoft Flow (https://paysoftflow.co.za/) in South Africa for example.

New Invoicing - Due Date option for End of this month
When creating an invoice and adding a due date, it would be handy to have the option of end of this month, so you don't need to click into pick another date.
11 votesHi team, while there's not a preset option for end of this month you'll find you can simply type the number e.g '31' into the due date field to populate the date for the current month.
Toward the end of 2024 we also made some improvements to the calendar picker within new invoicing so you can now easily access the calendar without having to click 'pick another date' which may also help some in the idea here.

Contacts - Receive Money option from the New dropdown
The contact card has a drop down box where you can create a NEW invoice/bill etc. Please could RECEIVE MONEY be added to this shortcut?

Fixed Assets - Add accumulated depreciation to new assets
When a revalued asset is created (e.g. roads in a local government authority), it is essential that a revalued accumulated depreciation is also able to be added at the same time. This is a basic accounting requirement for councils when they revalue their various infrastructure assets.

AU Payroll - No Annual Salary for Casuals on Employee Remuneration
It is better to not to have annual salary for casual employees in their pay sheets and also in the remuneration report in Xero as it is not a reliable figure to have in.
