  1. Allow Xero user to add additional columns to "Transaction report" so that a report can be sent to each credit card holder in the business confriming where the items on their statement were coded in Xero. This report would accompany their credit card statement each month.
    It proactively ensures coding and subsequent department, management and board reporting is correct. This saves time, effort and unnecessary republishing of reports.

    Aaah wait I see you've noted the columns you're after at the end of your idea(sorry for missing this).

    Related account is already an option, if not showing already you'll just want to choose the columns menu to select this.

    For the $ value in that account the Running balance should help here, and you'll see an opening balance at the top and closing balance at the end of the account section.

  2. Our charity places values first and in searching for a new current account for our organisation, ones with high ethical standards that synchronise with Xero is a very restricted field. CAF, Unity Trust, Triodos for example do not have bank feeds and they say this capacity sits with Xero. We currently bank with The Cooperative that scores well, and we have had to leave Barclays who have been exposed as very poor. To reduce risk we must have another account so my idea is that Xero takes the lead on establishing connections with more ethical banks enabling better choice for…

  3. Inventory - We are considering switching to Xero from Sage50, but have come across the issue of not being able to add an inventory item's "Bin Location" to the packing slip. We could include the bin location in the description of the item, but we don't want this to appear on the customer invoice. We only want the item's location to appear on the Packing Slip for the warehouse operatives to locate the items easily.

  4. US Xero Clients have Avalara built into Xero as the Auto Sales Tax feature. With legislation changing significantly around Sales Tax in the US, Canadian Companies who sell into the US would really benefit from having the same feature available to them.

  5. We have a 2 year old issue where we changed an employee end date then reverted a payrun. HMRC has not recognised the revertion or that the resubmission is the same data so we have a duplicate that we haven't been able to sort out.
    To avoid this pain for others, could there be a pop-up warning if someone tries to revert (or otherwise change) a payrun where an included employee has an end date set? Or if the end date has been changed? The details of how it works can be as is easiest to implement.

  6. if the address pulls up in a LCA that is not currently added, to have the ability to register that LCA to allow the correct tax rates? That would make it easier to know that the LCA is new and needs to be registered.

  7. Please change the location of the pop up message "default contacts have been applied". When creating a new invoice, the pop up message appears in the bottom left, but I'm trying to look at my contact info and enter data. The pop up box lingers too long and covers the information I need to enter, interfering with the data entry! This is frustrating every time when creating multiple invoices and I have to "x" the pop up message away each time, which then causes extra steps and takes longer. Data entry is all about efficiency and less steps/clicks..you have created…

    HI team, appreciate not directly within the Customer statement at present and being open we don't have immediate change planned for adding this to the customer statement. However, for the time being you could look to run the Customer Invoice Activity report which has a few more options for the columns and detail shown. 

    Once you've set up as you like you could save as Custom to make this readily available in your org and export to share externally with a customer/client. 

  10. Can we please have a Parent and Child relationship on the accounts to ease cash allocations. At the moment we are getting 1 payment that covers multiple accounts.

    We work with Schools and get payments from Councils and Academy's. These payments go across multiple schools and payments are currently allocated 1 invoice at a time.

    It would be helpful to have a Parent account / Hierarchy account or to put the Council/Academy name within the individual school account on Xero and put the Parent/Hierarcy name within the "Find & select matching transactions" - "Search by name or reference"

  11. Ability to switch between organisations on the Xero phone app. I presently work for several businesses and upload receipts/invoices as go. I presently would need to login and out to be able to do this as I have different email accounts for some of the businesses I work for. I am told that I can only do this if I use the same email account across all clients, this is not possible with in house email accounts.

  12. Repeating Invoices - ability to copy existing repeating invoice.

    Reasons:
    - Temporary Discount rewards (Scenario 1 below)
    - Previously agreed future price changes
    - Similar fee package for another client on a recurring basis

    Scenario 1
    - Client signs an ongoing recurring contract Monthly Fee = $1,000 (for illustration purposes):
    - Client sends us a referral, so we discount their fee 10% for the next 4 months (update current recurring amount to $900)

    Hi community, sometime on since my last post we wanted to provide an update for your all here and appreciate the continued attention this idea is receiving.

    We want to be upfront that at this time focuses for the team are in other areas of bank reconciliation and we don't have any current plans for developing the ability to import and export bank rules from an organisation.

    We understand and know this is important to everyone that has voted for the idea and will continue to review and pay close attention to the feedback and votes here. When there is more opportunity for the team to refocus efforts here we will keep you informed of any progress.

  14. On the contact activity it tells you when an invoice reminder was sent but what would be really useful from a contact relations POV would be to be able to click that interaction and view the email so that you could screenshot/resend it to a client who says they didn't receive it. For example I have one saying at the moment they never received the reminder but did the one after and the one before? Odd? Proving the amount, email it went to etc would be a useful "told you so" if you know what I mean.

  15. An automatic monthly payroll tax report would be fantastic. I've noticed Xero cannot do an automatic calculation of Payroll Tax like MYOB can. MYOB allows you to select pay categories (pay items) to exclude and run a monthly payroll tax report.

    Thanks for sharing and supporting this idea - while I don't have an update specific to this one, I thought you might be interested in the following:

    Our AU Payroll team are testing some changes to Payroll reconciliation. The idea to have an automatic monthly payroll tax report is highly associated with payroll reconciliation and we feel that voters here would also have an interest in payroll reconciliation. They would love to hear from you!

    They’re aiming to conduct some 1 on 1 interviews between 6 Feb - 16 Feb 2024, the interviews will last 45 minutes.

    The purpose of the session: Participants will be asked to help with testing a prototype concept designed to enhance the AU payroll reconciliation process.

  16. Currently Xero does not assign annual leave and public holiday to a project/job as timesheet doesn't have this function.
    Superannuation generates from payroll (pay run) , however, there is no place to allocate superannuation to different projects/jobs as well.
