  1. Change to New Trial Balance

    If the trial balance is set to cash rather than accruals I can no longer see the depreciation and accumulated depreciation accounts. This is a pain for clients who report on a cash basis but still have depreciation. These accounts should appear on cash or accruals as this does not effect whether it is claimed in the tax return.

  2. Could the 'overview' page of the contact show all the contacts/persons associated with a Contact Account, not just the 'first' one?
    We have 2 or 3 contacts/persons on most of our accounts, it would be nice to be able to see their names/emails on the company overview page, rather than having to click into 'Edit' to find these details.

  3. Currently eInvoicing attaches the user's email address to an eInvoice. So that we can centralise how we track our invoicing, we would like to change this to our generic email address xyz@entity rather than name@entity. It would be great if there was a drop down button added to eInvoicing to make this change.

  5. We have imported the Fixed Asset with wrong depreciation rate into XERO FAR side.
    Due to this we are depreciating some of our assets with wrong depreciation charges for last 3 financial years.
    Does anyone know in that platform how can we correct that for previous period?
    This include financial year from 2020 - 2023. All ideas and suggestions are appreciated.

  6. Ability to create a record work done for a customer/client as a unbilled/delayed charge that has a pop up notification when an invoice is been created for a customer/client. Xero has a record of billable expenses but amounts on invoices are not always linked to a billable expense or time record.

    This will avoid multiple invoices been issued to customers/clients and eliminates the possibility of "forgetting" to bill a customer/client for work done.

    Quickbooks Online has this feature which is extremely useful.

  7. Appologies in advance for my frustration.

    Are Xero considering providing a Gender Equity report in the future?
    I raised a case for our HR Dept last year and the answer from Xero was no.

    If any community member has any short cuts on gathering this info, please respond to this post.

    I am wasting so many hours trying to gather the required data from your available reports.

    In April I exported Employee contact details to export & sort.

  8. When generating the Payroll Activity Summary report, it would be good if I could select certain employees.

    Currently you can only choose an individual or all employees.

    Hiya everyone, as you may have seen we've released a new version of the Payroll Activity Summary report for AU and UK versions of Xero payroll. While it's still not possible to select multiple individual employees to run in this report, what you can do is run the report for an Employee group.

    At this time we don't have plans for developing the ability to select and run the report for multiple employees, however we'll continue to track this here and update if there's any progress.

  9. when pulling Payoneer transactions to reconcile, pull also the transaction ID, not just the payee,date, amount etc. seems rather basic, but it's very much needed.

  10. At the moment, you can only delete or mark as billed purchase order numbers. However, you cannot see the purchase orders after deleting them. It would be useful to have an archived section in purchase orders.

    We have found that we need to go back an see old purchase orders that did not get billed, whether it is to compare it to the purchase we actually made to see why we didn't go through with the original purchase order.

  11. The ability to add a Project (Revenue) Variation would be a huge help.
    If one can add a project (cost) variation using a Task, adding a Revenue variation should be achievable in Xero

  12. Bank : I work in practice an an issue I see day in and day out is unreconciled Account Transactions. Unlike the 'Reconcile' tab, there is no number in brackets to indicate how many unreconciled Account Transactions there are to prompt people to look at it.

    Most of my clients didn't know about the Reconciliation Report, all they concentrate on is getting the number on the 'Reconcile' tab as low as possible.

    I would really like to see the number of unreconciled Account Transactions to appear on this tab.

  13. Unscheduled payruns - the ability to not include pending leave. When processing bonuses etc, Xero automatically puts in the up coming leave even though it is not appropriate to be included in this unscheduled payrun and should be in the standard payrun. Because we pay monthly this only exacerbates the situation. To have the option to not include the leave in that payrun would help with this.

    Gotcha, thanks for rounding back, Kieran. Get where you're coming from especially if you often update or add accounts. 

    We don't have any immediate plans around this but we'll keep an eye out and let you know if there's any plans to change, here. 

  15. Possible to manually adjust the tax amount on the submitted expense claims?
    The tax amount is not adjustable to match the actual tax amount reflected on bills/receipt especially for decimal difference.

  16. As a DE User we would like to be able to upload a file to the bank creating the direct debits associated with subscriptions or payment plans. (The converse of the supplier payment batch file.)
    The functionality exists already, including the space for the client's BSB and Account number; and the capacity for "strip invoicing" so this should be a relatively quick and easy job.

I would like to recommend that standard access users be able to access a very handy "uncoded statement transaction report" that at this point is only available to the advisers role (usually accountants). I am told for advisers it appears on the front page of bank reconciliation. If it wasn't for chatting to an accountant one day about typing out lists to my clients I wouldn't know about it.   19. Hi,
    Something that would be very helpful as an accountant, is the ability to run a report for a given date which shows all the transactions where the VAT was claimed/paid on a later return. I know that the VAT reconciliation report doesn't work with MTD.

    For those that aren't already across, though manual at present you could run the Account Transactions report to manually reconcile against your filed VAT returns.

    We appreciate the process could be more automated. Though this isn't something we have immediate change planned around atm, we'll update you here if there's any news.

  20. The ability to choose what items to include from the invoice on the packing slip. This means I can select not to have freight and set-up charges on the packing slip as they are not actual items being sent to customers.
