Fixed Asset Module - Automate Asset Type
When items get posted into fixed asset module from bills, why isn't the asset type automatically fed from the account it was posted to? This just creates unnecessary work having to assign them manually!

Bills and Invoices: Shortcuts to scroll up or down page
The only way of moving (using the keyboard) within an invoice or a bill table at the current moment is by using the enter or tab key. These two keys allow you to move horizontally.
Many times I found myself wanting to move vertically instead! Could we have one key that will do just that?
A similar feature is already present in 'cash coding' and makes the experience of reconciling way smoother. What about invoicing and bills?

Invoice: Add 'Select Branding Theme' to print PDF button
Invoice - Add ability to "Print PDF" button to select which Invoice Branding Theme to print regardless of the Branding Theme assigned to the Invoice.
Use Case: Business has products which are legally required to be sent to a third party. White the invoice being sent to the customer is a full invoice, a reduced version is included for this third party. With current functionality, we have to Edit the Invoice, Change the Branding Theme, Print the PDF and then edit the Invoice and revert the Branding Theme back to our standard.
Unlike the "Invoice Options" dropdown button, I'm suggesting a segmented "Print PDF" button - clicking on the "Print PDF" prints the invoice as it does currently using the Branding Theme assigned to the invoice. Clicking on the drown down arrow, the user is presented with the available Branding Themes from which to select. Please see attached image for an example.

Sales overview - Ability to view % increase overtime
Sales Overview screen needs improving to show percentage increase in invoices sent, month on month. Attached is an example to show how it needs to be drastically improved to be like. Companies basically could raise capital off this screen - come on Xero! Please improve the screen to be like this example.

Fixed Assets - Change behaviour to recognise new asset when account type updated on existing transaction
An Information message to advise implications of editing the "Account Type" when posting a bill for a Fixed Asset.
"If an approved bill or spend money transaction is edited, and the account code is changed to one with a Fixed Asset account type - a draft asset won't be created". ie- it does not automatically update the transaction to include the item on the fixed asset schedule. Unless the item is manually added to the fixed asset register, it will not be included in subsequent depreciation runs.Ideally the system should be designed to fully complete the edit or should not allow the account codes in question to be edited at all.

Projects - Multiple Timers
Projects - It would be helpful to be able to open multiple timers at once. Sometimes I work on one project and then get interrupted to work on another. I would like to be able to open a new timer without having to save and close the time on my original timer. I could then come back to the original timer and resume time recording after closing and saving the new timer.

AU Payroll - Change 'Reset Payslip' to read 'Reset individual's payroll'
Please update the wording of icon in an employees payroll from "reset payslip" to "reset individuals payroll"
The reset is for use to "refresh" really and nothing to do with a payslip.

NZ Tax - Ability to have bounce back email when email address is invalid
When sending tax payment letters out via email it would be great to get an email if the address used is invalid. Like a bounce-back when you send an email from your usual email program. At the moment you have no idea if the client received the tax payment letter at all.

Project - Automatically import individual time entries from projects to payroll timesheets
To import individual time entries from projects to payroll timesheets, at the moment this only comes through as a bulk time for the day, you then have to manually add the time to the particular pay item if you use more then one pay item. Very frustrating and time consuming, would be nice to have this automated.

Reports - Cashflow reports being able to handle larger figures
Were clients have figures in the New Xero Cashflow report of $1,000,000 and $10,000,000. The cashflow can only handles this by reducing the months on the report. An Idea to get arround this would be to do what larger company's do in a prospectus. State in a subtitled that all figures are in millions and omit the last 3 zeros.

AU Payroll - Import Leave Requests into Xero via csv file
Ability to import leave requests using CSV files.
Purpose: To save users time from having to manually create a request to the employee, and approve it. This will also help if they’re using a third party that allows them to export CSV.

Published report | Copy & edit - Date not refreshing in Compilation Report
When I prepare Financial Statements, I copy and edit a published set of Financial Statements from the previous year. But it is annoying that in the now draft Financial Statements, the date in the Compilation Report does not refresh to current date. So I either manually edit the date or add a Comp Report from My Xero. Either way is a pain. Any better ideas?

Contacts - Being able to re-assign contacts in "All" to "Customers" or "Suppliers"
We have imported all our contacts (a mixture of customers and suppliers) into Xero but they have all gone into the "All" category and there is now no way of assigning them to the "Customers" or "Suppliers" categories. It seems like a crazy restriction that not even the Xero people can fix for us. My suggestion is to allow us to move them out of All into one of the other categories.

Expenses - Ability to search and sort for submitter user
Expenses search and sort.
If you only have access as a user and not full access to the accounts, searching past expenses is a painful experience.
What a painful thing searching for expenses in Xero is.
Can't filter by date range, or search for a particular description, or search by account. And they're in some unfathomable order which you can't sort by date.
Suggestions: Sort by date option to help answer questions like 'did I remember to file that expense 3 months ago'
Filter on date range: 'Show only expenses between January and March last year'.
Search on description: List all expenses for a particular thing. 'How many times have we paid this company, how much did this cost in past claims?'
Filter/Search by account. Currently it only seems to support filtering by tag, but expenses aren't always tagged because they're allocated to a particular account.
Then users with no overall access can't easily find it again.
Should be able to filter by account.
