NZ Payroll - Exclude Kiwisaver from Allowances

AU Payroll - Calculate leave on multiple payroll rates
Need to be able to accumulate annual leave and sick leave when an employee has to rates of pay for example: working in two departments - one pay 24.50hr and the other department pays $24.17hr, currently Xero does not accumulate pay on multiple ordinary hours pay rates, one has to be and overtime rate using multiple of hours how can you do this for a rate with a difference of 33c. I also have the same issue with an employee who works week days at one rate, saturdays at another rate and sundays at a third rate. - I have been back and forward with Xero support on this and their only anser is to manually adjust the persons leave balance. This is not good enough, we pay for a payroll system and it doesnt do what it should do.

BAS - Manual option to override unavailable unfiled amounts
Activity Statement report - currently the activity statements need to be finalised in order and if not then the unfiled amounts option is turned off for good, with no way to change this. The current workaround is to delete all previous statements and then finalise them in order. This means we lose history, and particularly when the client is managing the BAS returns, we need that history to stay. Also there is no way to tell how far back into history the error is occuring. We need a manual override where we can switch on the unfiled amounts, so that any changes made to BAS figures can be captured, either from history or from that period onwards. This would ensure the historical BAS history remains whilst still being able to use this handy feature of capturing unfiled amounts in the future BAS returns.

New Invoicing - Approve and view next in sequential order
In the classic invoicing, when I am approving my invoices draft then I click "Approve and view next", it goes in the next invoice subsequent number.
In the new invoicing version, when I click on "Approve and view next", it goes directly to the last invoice number instead of the next one. I have a lot of drafts to approve and it has to be in the right order.
For this reason, I stay with the classing invoicing. I might consider switching back to new invoicing if this issue can be resolve in the future.

Reporting - Distinguish between 0.00 and nil balance accounts
On balance sheets or profit and loss reports. It would be amazing if there was a distinction between accounts that have nothing in them (e.g. -) and accounts that have a nil balance (e.g. 0). They currently have the same icon (-). Having different icons would make it easier to distinguish without having to click into the account.

CIS - Email annual statements
At the moment I cannot email end of year CIS statements through Xero to contractors like I can for monthly CIS statements.
It would be very helpful to have this facility as I have to download PDF for EACH contractor (which can be very time consuming) and email individually at year end.
This is a requirement as a CIS main contractor, so should be automated and easier for us to do this. Thanks

account transactions - date range pull down options to include "last week"
An option to set the date range to "last week" from the date range pull down options in account transactions reports.
Being able to create custom account transactions reports set to "last week" would be invaluable for our weekly reporting, avoiding fiddly changes to the date range each week when pulling a number of reports, and preventing any dating errors.
It would be a great advantage.
Should be an easy to add that option to Xero, I would have thought.
And it is a common option (e.g. GoCardless has it.)

Xero Inventory Plus: Purchase Order Templates
In Xero I’m able to use my purchase order templates that I created with docx.
I was hoping to keep things consistent when generating POs from XIP. I don’t see that I can alter the templates.

Xero HQ for businesses with multiple entities
As a Finance Manager of multiple entities and xero files it would be good to have something like Xero HQ for practice for Finance managers and the multiple entities that look after so I can see each day the business snapshot of where we are at AP, AR Cashflow and NP

Purchase Orders - Improved text box functionality
When I add text to any of the boxes within a column in a purchase order, it moves the screen down because the box needs to expand to fit the text. This makes it really hard to copy-paste quickly. Please either remove the bug that makes the screen move down (boxes expanding) or add a "copy previous line" feature to eliminate this onerous task completely.

Xero Files - Ability for Read Only users to access Xero Files
We would like our auditors / account reviewers to have Read Only access to our accounts in Xero however this does not enable them to view Xero Files, which is where we save our bank statements, etc.
Currently we need to give them Standard Access so that they can have access to the documents in Files, however this also gives them the ability to change the accounts as well.
We would like to suggest the Xero files be added to users with Read Only access.

Invoice - Add additional reference fields for invoices and credit notes
I would like to have more reference columns for both invoice and credit note.

Billable Expenses - Assign single line items to separate contacts
Hi there, I would like to be able to assign line items (that are the same) on a bill to multiple customers.
i.e. 2 x oil filters, assign ONE of each to separate customers without having to enter them on separate lines on the bill to do so.
Also, when creating an invoice and viewing "items to assign to a customer" I would like to be able to see the Supplier AND their invoice number in that list.

New invoicing - Auto tax rate to recognize non US address
Had to switch back to Classic INVOICE again... Because new INVOICE does not work...
Auto tax rate for us in the US can be a good feature if implemented with smarts... That seems to be a big IF... Some of us do business internationally. So not all our invoices are for US based customers.
Creating an invoice for a customer in Germany... !!!Unable!!! to complete the INVOICE because Auto tax rate insist I have to have a state for it to work???
IT IS IN GERMANY... No state required and being outside of the US Auto tax rate should recognize it is tax exempt??? Is this too difficult????

Sales overview should include an option to view credit notes only (appreciate that this can be done by sorting on amount and looking for negatives) but would be nice if there was a one click option to show credit notes only

Xero App store - Connected apps price and feature comparison
I am trying to find an app to help with cash flow forecasting. Xero could not have made it harder to compare. Why does the app overview page not say anything about the cost of the app? It only says free trial is available, however, I want to see what the ongoing cost is, before I even consider giving it a go. With Xero increasing costs so often and by an outrageous percentage, I find the lack of transparency of connected apps cost rather disingenuous. Xero needs to make it easier to not just search but also to compare features and benefits, and more importantly, costs. Also, the "connected apps" screen should not just give the option to disconnect but also to go to / open the app.

5 votesWe appreciate for many small businesses having more information about connected apps pricing is important when making and choosing solutions for your business.
While this isn't currently available, it's something our team are looking into surfacing through the Xero App store.
There's a bit of work to go into it, but we'll keep you updated of any progress for this here. 😊

Invoices - Ability to batch print packing slips
Batch print packing slip
We are able to batch print invoices through the awaiting payment page, but having the ability to batch print packing slips would be great. Having to click in and out of invoices to print the packing slip for multiple entries daily takes quite a bit of time. Can this feature be added?
