New invoicing add file from library
Hi everyone, we appreciate you engaging with us here and your patience while we got this developed in new invoicing. We have now released the ability to attach a file from your file library, and you'll see this option when you click 'Attach files' at the bottom of the invoice. Thanks

Hi Xero, we need this feature in way before September. I use this feature all the time. I use to upload from emails from my photo and texts from the boys onsite. So when I get home I can add them from the Xero files. So Ill be staying on the od invoicing till you have fixed the issue.
Also side note. Fix the issue with the Bert and CIPQ on the pay slips to show accumulating and not affecting the super and PAYG. If MYOB can do it for years, I'm sure you guys can figure it out. Also I don't need s responds they can check there on status online themselves. Its a requirement to have them on the pay slips from the Union.

Essential to be able to add files from library otherwise no point in having the library. I use this all the time with clients who upload information for me to process.

Cannot understand change where new invoicing has many features missing and is not quicker if you have to look everything up which used to be availble on old invoicing.
This move is not thought through properly and it is too soon to make complete change over. -

I agree with all that's been said. Also, it's really important for me to be able to see the invoice file alongside the data entry window, as I always need to copy details from the invoice into Xero.

This is VERY important. Most files are already in the Xero Files folder when they need to be attached. Uploading is time consuming when this is the case.
It would also be helpful if this issue could be addressed for Contacts. Again, there is now no option to add a file from the Files Folder they must be uploaded.
It would also be helpful to be able to attach files to Employees, e.g. copy of Sales Certification etc -

I use this feature 100's of times a week, it will make role very difficult and make me consider swapping accounting programs if it can't be fixed. Please fix this issue prior 2/9 when we must go to the version.

Hey team, please please please make this a priority! Multiple clients use the Xero inbox to send receipts to that need to be oncharged, so removing the ability to attach from there is a massive deterrent to swapping to new invoicing (albeit it looks like we are going to be forced to anyway!). I'm all for innovation, but needs to account for current practices.

I would like this function., as my invoices come from my MIS system.. i then import the breakdown etc from these invoices , and attached a copy pdf of " original " source of the invoice .. I am unable to use the new quick invoice until I get this function

Trying to support & embrace the new features as they come into effect but this is definitely a critical issue. I love the setup of the new invoicing but without this feature can not use it as I need to add the files after creating the invoice as they are item reports for my clients that are only created after I have the invoice and each item line has a item report.

I'm trying my best to make the switch to new invoicing so that I can support the team to make the move when the time comes, but I need to keep switching back to do little bits and pieces like this one.
Not having this feature is a backwards step as it adds a number of steps that weren't previously there because files need to be saved somewhere and then uploaded to the invoice - even more difficult when one person has the attachment but another person is working on the invoice.

Not having the ability to upload invoices from the File Library in New Invoicing will also impact our company as we have code written from our invoicing system to deliver PDF's to this area.

There's documents in the Xero inbox right now for the client I'm working on that have immediate relevance to the invoices I've sent them. I'd really like to attach them to the invoice they relate to without losing the text of the email with which they were forwarded to the inbox.

It is very critical that this option is available for at least four of our clients.
