Contacts: SMS reminders for invoices
I can see multiple suggestions and several thread over a number of years regarding the need for an SMS feature for both customer communication and invoicing. When are you going to add this? The tech is readily available to you. Many other platforms offer this now. Please prioritize this enhancement! Thanks.

Hi everyone, sending invoices via SMS is now available to all Australian users that have connected Stripe. With great uptake we're now looking to extend this feature, and the next region SMS will be launched to is the US. I'll keep you updated on it's release here. We'll continue working toward making this feature available to more users so any news of other regions will also be shared through this idea.
Just to confirm for everyone here - It's not currently possible to set up send SMS for invoice reminders, to send an invoice via SMS you'll need to open each invoice and select this option from the 3 dot option menu in the top right of the invoice. Developing a more automated means may be something we look to do over time but isn't in the plans just yet.

Too many Xero invoices are going to spam. A reminder via SMS would be useful

I found that this feature IS available (well sort of). When raising the invoice (we use Android app) where you can choose to save, send etc there is also the option to SHARE. Using the SHARE option will give you the choice of sending (spiel and link) via sms, Messenger, email etc - you can also click COPY which will allow you manually sms the spiel/link. I use this all the time now.

Not sure why Xero hasn’t already done this. We have just signed up for Xero assuming that you would be able to send invoices via text message. All our clients will be receiving their invoices via text so wishing now we didn’t go with Xero and instead looked elsewhere! Seems very outdated that they don’t offer this service.

I did find this SMS feature in Xero but when i asked about this xero replied there is no feature. It would be fantastic to have this feature definately!!
maybe it's something to add in xero soon. -

SMS Text reminders for overdue invoices would be really helpful, with a link to the invoice or our payment system we have with our invoices.

We run a small business (franchise) and have access to an sms function where we can hit SEND when in the invoice (on phone app) and it will automatically populate to email the invoice (just like Xero does) but it also allows you to check a box which will send a short sms to the mobile number recorded in the customer file. The sms is along the lines of "Thank you for your business. You can download your BUSINESS NAME invoice #1234 via the link below. https://link.link.link Please contact us on MOBILE NUMBER if you have any questions or are unable to download your invoice". For micro/small businesses a LOT of business is done by phone/sms so this would be an incredible addition to Xero.

I would support this idea. We work with vulnerable young people experiencing housing crisis. I'd like to be able to send SMS messages to them to remind them when service charges are due, to try to minimise arrears and risks to their tenancies.
