  1. I would like to do a bulk update of the supplier configurations in HubDoc to set the "Configure rules for Xero" to "off" so that we can begin our configurations from scratch. Doing it maunally for the number of suppliers we have is very time consuming so I would like to request assistance in making a bulk change.

    The automated help agrees it a good idea and suggested the following

  2. Allow for credit card credits to be posted as negative expenses. This will permit matching in QBO bank section. Currently credit card credits are not matchable and cause confusion with client staff unaware of what to do with these orphan transactions in QBO.

  3. I would like to be able to create a report of clients whose GST filing is due but there are not enough fields to filter them out. We can select 2 monthly but not select whether they are '2 monthly odd' or '2 monthly even' and we can select 6 monthly but not choose which 2 months of the yer their returns are due. It would be great if we didnt have to enter the same info twice by creating a custom field.

  4. If you update the report code mapping on a report template and save it as a draft, the changes won't reflect on the draft template in the client’s organisation.

    You either need to remove the report from your template and add it again, or run a fresh template in the client organisation.

    Above the answer for my problem - such an obvious issue, surely Xero, you can sort this out without waiting for folks to vote on it !!

Xero tax software needs to be amended so that a provisional tax payment requested based on the previous year plus 10% shows up as the first installment of provisional tax due in the xero tax return even though the client hasn't made the payment but is required to have paid by the 1st provisional tax date. At present shows as 0.00 which is incorrect based on the inland revenue rules. So at present have to copy the tax return to a pdf export to word and then manually amended the tax return to show the correct tax payment that was…

  6. My firm works with additional bookkeepers, and we do not want to have their business or personal emails displayed in our clients files.

    Ideally, they would be behind the scenes and would just show our practice as connected.

    Next best would be showing first name or first and last name, but no email address.

    We can assign them an email address from our firm for a more professional appearance, but often their certifications follow their own business/personal email addresses.

  7. In any particular Xero account, you can review the history notes (essentially an audit log), however we do not seem to have the ability to audit a particular staff member's activity across all clients.

    This would be useful if you have a particular firm employee making the same mistake across multiple reconciliations. You could see their access/activity log to know which clients you needed to review. Or if you simply needed to know every client the employee has touched in a certain timeframe.

  8. XPM job financial summary is available from the job screen and financial tab, under "print financial summary". As currently prepared the financial summary does not report actual invoices and total amount invoiced, in addition the report does not include the profitability measures for rate per hour and recovery percentage. This would be useful to have these calculated and presented at the top of the report.

  9. In Xero we can enable payments on any account which allows us to post payments from that account directly. In Hubdoc you can only post spend money transactions from accounts listed as 'bank accounts' in Xero. This creates extra work for us when reconciling accounts as we also aren't able to post journals to bank accounts in Xero so we have to find a work around.

    Please update Hubdoc also include any accounts that have payments enabled

  10. The 'export invoice to Xero' manual option should be available to staff that have approve invoice permissions. When we have a 'Xero export failed' message and staff correct the error, they need to be able to push this across manually to Xero blue without requesting it from an administrator.

  11. We are trying to move all client records to Xero away from a different software provider but we need custom fields that we have built in Xero Practice Manager to be synced with Xero HQ please. This way we will be able to filter our clients using the custom fields that we have created which will then match what we can do in the software that we are trying to move away from.

  13. When making exchange rate transfer, Wise wraps the bank fee in the balance. It then requires manual input to add the bank fee in Xero.

    Is there no way to have Wise split the transaction and show the bank fee separately?

    e.g.

    A client wants 100 EUR in WISE EUR account, with Wise taking a fee of 50p on the transaction
    The exchange rate is such that 100 EUR is £97.30

    Currently Wise would add the fee there would be one transaction in Xero of £97.80 Converts to 100 EUR
    If this was presented as two transactions:
    £97.30 converts to…

  14. It would be good to be able to filter the Tax Home Page by Not-lodged/Not-Filed.

    We can view the Filed on one tab, but to see ALL Not-Yet-Filed returns we need to go between Draft, Completed, Approved, To sign & To file tabs.
    In the All tab it includes Filed. There is no way of removing the Filed from this tab.
    It would be great to be able to see all outstanding returns in one place without seeing ones already completed.

I find it very easy to accidentally drag and drop folders into another folder in the documents list and then it's gone before you even notice which folder it was or which folder it got dropped into. Please please please add a pop-up query when a folder is dropped into another folder - "do you really want to do this?"

  16. I love the function of being able to import data from a Xero file/ledger directly into a Xero tax.

    However, it seems that you can only import date to 30 June. It doesn't appear to be able to import for a substituted accounting period.

    It would be helpful to be able to select the period to import.

  18. AML Name List screening:

    As it is a known fact that accountants and bookkeepers must screen or conduct name list screening for individual owner that control >25% share of the company. I my former software Nomisma and Capium, accountant can conduct name list screening within the system without the need for additional subscription.
    Once the name list screening is conducted, the result is saved under the individual.
    I believe if this implemented in Xero it will make Xero one-stop-shop without the need for using other software.

  19. Allow mapping of tracking categories in Xero Tax.

    Xero Blue is better catered for tracking category use as opposed to subaccount creation, however, tracking categories from Xero Blue are unable to be mapped in Xero Tax. Therefore, manual entry is required to populate multiple schedules in Xero Tax.

    Example:
    • Client has two Rental Properties, therefore will have two Rental Schedules in the ITR
    • Income from both properties is mapped to a singular GL Account ‘Rental income’
    • The Income in Xero Blue file is segregated by tracking category option, e.g.
    o Tracking Category: Property
    o Category Options: Property…

  20. When completing a tax return for foreign residents we needed to adjust the discount rate for the property that they had sold. Xero had no way for us to change the discount percentage so we said that we used the other method to not include discount and then added the discount we should be able to claim to the costs in the Capital Gain Worksheet. As per Xero Support this was the only solution. Can you please incorporate a way for us to change the discount rate of a CGT event?
