  1. Ability to send a document to a client through Xero portal, without requiring a signature. I use the Document Packs to send tax returns and financials to clients. It would be good to be able to use this function to send packs to clients that don't need a signature.

    For example: securely sending a notice of assessment to a client through xero, or sending copies of tax returns to clients that have already signed them in person.

  2. Can you take the option of making reports favourites by marking them with a star and allow us to do the same with orgs so that a Client Manager can favourite the clients in their portfolio rather than having to search for their clients among the clients of the whole practice?

  3. There used to be a tab where we could check which of our clients hadn't filed their GST returns on time, this has been removed, can you please bring it back as we now have no way of checking if we or our clients have missed filing a return.

  4. I use 'client groups' extensively in HQ. I need to see which clients are not in a group at all, and which ones are in more than one group, but this is not possible. Please allow us to report on which groups each client is in.

    Hi community, just jumping in here to share that we have recently made an improvement to the groups feature in Xero HQ 🎉
    Within a Client record, you can now see what groups they belong to, and add or remove them - check out this article for more information. Please note, this is not available as a report, but is available on a client by client basis.

    While the team have been really busy working on the single client record, they also hope to introduce a Groups list and group details (similar to what is currently available in XPM) to increase the ability to manage Groups within HQ. We’ll be sure to return & update you here when that’s available.

  5. I have 100 clients (mainly 1040) and they are not in XERO. I would like to import them so that I can utilize XERO ASK feature to obtain documents / answers for Tax Prep at year end.

Contacts grouping - When exporting clients to a CSV file, being able to see which clients are allocated to which group, I've assigned a group (there's about 8 different groups in total) to 2/3 of my 1500 client list, but now have to sift through 1 by 1 allocate a group to the remaining clients.

  7. So annoying that my published reports remove decimals points every time. PLEASE MAKE THIS CHANGE. Published reports should be saved as is!!! Do not modify my published report XERO! We produce hundreds of these reports every month and have to keep adding the decimal back. This is driving our firm insane!!!

  8. Xero HQ - Business Client Dashboard

    I would like a section in Xero HQ to see key metrics across my business clients in the form of a dashboard screen.

    The data displayed should be almost like an 'early warning system' for practice linked business clients that are falling behind on:

    • Administration (Bank rec transactions, unlodged payruns/bas forms)
    • Business performance is suffering (Significant decrease in quarterly sales, High 90 day+ debtors)
    • Accounts hit certain thresholds set at a client level (Bank account overdrawn, GST/PAYG/Super Liabilities over a certain threshold)

    This could also be used to spot client performing really well too.

    Appreciate the idea and detail you've shared on the needs here, everyone.

    As many of your will know - we're developing a more unified client sync, and you can read some of the changes on our Blog

    The idea here is intriguing and we'll track the interest of this through the thread here, however this isn't something we're planning to work on at present. We will share if there's any change with you here.

  9. Be able to edit sent document packs.

    Purpose: for when clients ask you to send the pack to a different email address or you want to rename the document pack, or add another document.

    Hi community, thanks for your support and sharing in the idea here. Diving into your comments, there are a few different ideas that we're picking up on within this one thread;

    1. ability to change the email address/contact of a sent pack
    2. ability to add additional documents to a sent pack, and
    3. the ability to edit metadata of a sent pack

    For the first, we'd like to better understand what is driving the need to change the email address?  is it down to a typo when entering it? or if its on a tax return, is it wrong on the client record etc?

    Although it's not possible to add additional documents to a pack right now, creating and sending a new document pack is essentially the same - Is there any reason this isn't suitable?

    Lastly, it'd be good to get more substance of how the ability to rename a pack…

  10. Ability to preview attachment before downloading it.

    Purpose: Good for clients who want to preview the document without having to download it.

    - created date
    - Who created
    - date sent
    - who sent it
    - recipients that received the query

    Appreciate wanting history for Xero Ask queries. 

    This was briefly looked into, however I do want to confirm that there are no plans for developing history for Xero Ask at this time.  


    We'll move the status of this idea back to submitted and continue to get a sense of the interest around this, here. 

  12. Option to choose where the logo is shown

    Purpose: Consistency with brand/business internal guidelines. Formalities and looking professional to clients/stakeholders
