  2. I would like to pay my employees for a specific period:-

    example 17 October to 26 October and would like to reflect these exact dates on the payslip. It would be great if I could to customise the dates within a pay calendar?

  4. Bring back Xero HQ Activity tab. It was the only place you can see which of your clients GST Returns still needed to be filed.

    You cant even generate a report for this in myIR Intermediary.

  5. Allow a practice-wide setting to default postal address to client's postal address/main address, rather than agent address. Same applies to phone number and e-mail address.

    I'll admit I'm brand new to Xero Tax, but the returns I have created so far default to Agent Postal Address, whereas all of my returns always use client postal address. Instead of having to toggle/switch this for every return (and in due course no doubt missing one at some point), it would be great to have a practice wide setting. "On Tax Return forms, postal address should default to [client address]/[agent address]".

  6. Add a note function to each account. Similar to the queries button but just for general notes about what's in the account that doesn't need a resolution. This would be helpful near the account rather then just at the start in the job note section as it would allow quick access for others to see the note when looking at the specific account.

  7. Currently there is only the ability to enter 4 Directors names into the Report fields in 'Advanced accounting › Report fields and schedules'
    So when we run the advisor reports, on the Director Declaration's page we have to manually type in the extra directors.
    Can you increase the fields for more than 4 directors and even more than 4 partners.

    Thanks for engaging and sharing the idea here - Having a deeper read to interpret, there's the ability to add more client report fields that can be included in your report templates yourself (such as Director 5, Director 6 etc) - See detail in our help here.

    A couple of pointers to note, are;

    • ensure you have the Edit report templates permission, then
    • add the new client report fields at Xero HQ level first; this'll make them available to add in your Report templates. Then, add the names of the directors at the client level.

    We hope this helps you overcome the idea here, let us know if this doesn't quite accomplish what you're asking.

  8. It's a small annoyance - but an annoyance all the same.
    (mostly I am annoyed with myself for forgetting the two sections are different ;)

    In the Destinations section of Publish & Proceed - when you start typing in a Contact name if it doesn't yet exist you get the option to add as a new contact - and the beginning of the name you've typed staysa in the box. Then you finish typing it in and hit Create.

    But above, in the Transaction Details section when the first letters don't pull up a known supplier, and you hit +Add…

  9. User & Approval - Having a user that can upload documents & code them. Save the changes but not publish to Xero. Bookkeeper can then check the coding is correct before publishing to Xero or having a approval process where the document is sent to be approved before publishing to Xero, and this would work for purchase orders, invoices & receipts

  10. In Canada it is common to have January 1, 20XX as the fiscal year end date instead of December 31, 20XX. As a result, the Sales Tax Reports are unable to be utilized because even though I can have my fiscal year end matching in Xero, it won't let me run the report based on custom dates - for example, if I have a quarterly filer that has a January 1, 20XX fiscal year end, then the Q1 period is going to be January 2 to April 1 and it would be due May 1 - and not Jan 1…

  11. When using Xero Workpapers, it imports the figures across from the Xero client file without decimals. Therefore, when I'm comparing these figures in Workpapers to client reports and bank statements these are often slightly out.

    Can you please update Workpapers so that there is an option to show decimal places?

  12. I would like to request that HubDoc extract bank account and GST Numbers from uploaded invoices and compare the information to the information stored in the contact in formation in Xero.

    Suppliers provide us with their bank account information on each invoice for payment, I'd like to make sure we know if they change their bank account information.

  14. If you create a report in the custom tab rather than the adviser tab in error, it would be good to be able to either lock it so it has as restricted access to that custom report almost as though it's password protected (ie only the creator can see for example) or have the facility for it to be moved to the adviser tab to allow it to have restricted access to advisers only.

  18. No option to select 'File MTD VAT Return' in bulk for clients when setting up a new staff member in Xero HQ. After assigning the clients in bulk for a new staff member you have to then go into each client individually to give this permission.

  19. Is there a way to flag a client, ie Warning/Ban or make them Inactive but keep their history in Xero?

    We have a system that have a number of clients with similar/identical names and we would like flag a client for particular reason, ie account terms etc or ban etc.

  20. Can we please be able to view and individuals FIRST NAME and LAST NAME on the Client Details Screen. Currently you can only see what the First Name and Last Name for a client is by going in to Edit the page. It seems extremely weird that you can't view the First Name and Last Name of a client on the Main Details page when arguably that is the most important detials of an Individual!
