  1. Please reinstate the ability to edit email addresses under the bulk email function under Tax > Payments. Depending on the type of tax notice, we have to send a tax notice to a staff member and copy in an additional person. It will not allow us to enter in a second email address under the client profile. This is very time consuming if we have to send it out twice and inefficient.

  2. Make a schedule for allocating partner income and tax credits allocations with a total giving the ability to allocate income on the one page. Currently you have to go into each partner schedule. There is not always an even split of income and with many partner entities it is very time consuming.

  3. Currently the SB Pool Detail report contains a large number of columns and the report appears cramped and difficult to read due to the smaller font size.

    It would be helpful to have the ability to change the column order and remove excess or un-needed columns, as is possible for the other tax and accounting depreciation schedules.

  4. I would like to be able to firstly differentiate my payroll journals from other journals and then produce an end of year report of the payroll journals.

    How you could facilitate this:
    -Tick box on the journal to identify it as payroll related.

  5. In APS you have the ability to live synch the tax ledger. As an example a transfer to 2025 from 2024 income tax made today won't show until the next day in the tax return summary.
    A synch button to do this would be helpful and save time from stopping the job until the next day to print/save

  7. Create a Registered Office field in the contact details so that for client companies, we can have a quick view of physical/business, postal and registered office details. Currently, we have had to create a custom field, which you have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to view.

  8. Would be great to have the ability in XPM tax to identify if the client has a payment arrangement with IR. If there is somewhere in tax we can enter this information and this gets flagged when approving the tax payment letter, not to send the letter if the tax year is under arrangement.

  9. XPM - Lock timesheets when a draft final invoice has been prepared.
    We are having issues with staff adding time to a job when there is a draft Final invoice that has been created. Then the invoice is approved and the added WIP does not get picked up and sits on the now completed job for us to stumble over months later. It makes sense to lock the timesheets when a Final invoice has been drafted.

  10. Please add the functionality to set a cessation of trade date for a company in liquidation or in the insolvency process to allow for accounts and corporation tax returns to be produced from the last year end to the date of cessation of trade/insolvency.

    This will enable Accountants to produce these closing accounts and CT returns from HMRC and so offer a one stop shop and earn more revenue.

  11. I am finding the inconsistent implementation of the new Xero style mixed in with the old incredibly frustrating. The new style screens are slow to load & enter data, the tabbing and typing a few letters then hitting return either doesn't work (add payment) or is inconsistent between screens, entering a new customer on the fly is frustrating because you can't enter all the information at once & still have to open the full contact edit screen to complete it, also the new contact pop up doesn't autopopulate addresses as you type, the send remittance button disappears if you get…

  12. We've just found out to our horror that we lose access to ALL Xero historic accounts and tax filings prepared and submitted through Xero Tax for a client if the Xero sub is cancelled.
    Apparently this is because Xero needs to maintain access to the live data even for filed returns. Therefore, there has to be a process where ALL accounts and tax comps must be downloaded and stored elsewhere each year. We think that's crazy and that all filed returns should be stored in Xero Tax as PDFs. If nothing else, there should be a flag warning us! This…

  13. It would be great if ALL users (ie practice staff) in Xero HQ could see all Xero files. It should be obvious on the list which are accessible and which are not (ie if you didn't have access, the Xero org name could be greyed out)

    In terms of access, if a particular staff member did not have access to a Xero file, they should be able to request access from a HQ Administrator (with mange user access of course) which can be granted easily. Would be handy to have a 'Why' comment field so the approver knows the context…

  14. Xero defaults to full pay period hours for a new employee in the 1st payrun even if the employee start date (already entered into Xero) is part-way through a payrun. This doesn't make sense and is too easy to overpay a new employee in this way, if a manual override has not been done. Ideally, Xero would calculate the expected hours for a salaried employee based on the start date, but another idea would be to flash up a warning before finalising a payrun with employees that have a start date listed within the pay run period.

  15. The fact that it's so hard to get a rental property schedule to share from one return to the selected second client is very very very very annoying. If there were a button we could press to manually ask it to share across that would save endless saving, closing, opening, closing the whole program, turning off your computer and leaving my desk in frustration.

  16. Some banks require the ABN or ACN to be present on all pages of the Financial Reports supplied to them. Currently, the only way to do this is to export the report to Excel and then painstakingly type the ABN/ACN in to every single page.

    There should be an option to toggle this on/off. Alternatively a field type that pulls the ABN from the company file would be suffice to add to the report template.

  17. When each job is created, we manually have to add the contact to the job. If this is not done, the invoice that is pushed to Xero Blue doesn't have contact information and we are unable to utilise the automatic reminders etc. This requires manual monitoring and negates the efficiencies within Xero Blue.

    This manual process would be solved if we had the ability to set the Primary Contact as the default contact on jobs that are created. This could for example, be set up as a tick box in settings. This could give people the option to switch on…

  19. Please allow editing layout and grouping of accounts in Trial Balance which can make the XERO more Competitive with other brands like MYOB for finalization. Allowing Grouping of accounts in Trial Balance will make the Xero product more compatible & Inclusive

  20. The current 'To Sign' list is a combination of tax returns that might be out for signature with the client, or ready for the tax agent to sign. At the moment there is no way for our tax agents to tell which tax returns are ready for them to sign.
