NZ Tax - edit bulk email addresses
Please reinstate the ability to edit email addresses under the bulk email function under Tax > Payments. Depending on the type of tax notice, we have to send a tax notice to a staff member and copy in an additional person. It will not allow us to enter in a second email address under the client profile. This is very time consuming if we have to send it out twice and inefficient.

XPM - Set date to run Aged Debtor Report
Ability to run an Aged Debtors Report of what debts clients owed us at a certain date in XPM. For example, we want to see what our clients owed us at 30/06/25, however the Standard Report (Aged Balance Report) can't be run to a certain date and if we create our own Report in Report Builder it removes clients from the report if they have paid since 01/07/25 and now owe nothing. We need these figures to do clients Financials and also for our own Practice reporting. We can run it in Xero Blue however we don't have the ability…

Practice Manager - Audit trail for client history
Client History
It would be great to have a running record of client history in XPM, showing the date and person who, including but not limited to:
- created the client
- edited client details
- archived client

Log into more than one company
It would be really useful to be able to log into more than one company on an reference basis only. I'm often in the middle of something when I am asked a question relating to another company by a colleague or client. I have to log out just to find one bit of information. I might have multiple windows open with different reports etc that I then lose. This is also very important when working on related companies to see intercompany loans in both companies at once. Client Verification via BGLiD links through to XPM
It would be great if when a client completes their BGLiD verification, that that data can go back to XPM and complete the Client Verification section. Would save a lot of time & reduce the potential for entries being missed.

UK Tax - For CT600 box 326 to be left blank but be a compulsory field
I think to reduce the risk of associated companies not being included in the CT600 in error box 326 should be left blank by Xero but compulsory so that that the return can not be generated without it.

Hubdoc - Keep email text with the receipts.
When emailing receipts to Hubdoc, anything written in the email title or body should stay with the receipt. Currently, Hubdoc turns one email into 2 uploads. One upload is the email. One upload is the receipt. It is nearly impossible to know which email matches which receipt. The result is that important documentation is lost. For example, my clients often email a receipt to Hubdoc for meals and they write who was present at the meal and the business purpose into the email's title or body. Those details are required by the IRS but the current Hubdoc system does not…

Practice Manager - Add new WIP to an existing invoice
In other accounting management software, you can allocate WIP to a previously posted invoice. This is a really handy feature which prevents WIP being written off if a job has already been invoiced and no further invoices will be raised.
It helps with budgeting and KPI's (preventing WIP writeoff).
There are enough times when it has been needed, e.g. after a job has been completed and invoiced, and new information comes to light requiring a re-work.22 votes -
UK Tax - SA100 - Change personal tax allowance
When filing an SA100, allow us to change the Personal allowance of the client to match their actual tax code, so the return can be filed correctly. Currently on the generic tax code is catered for, and this doesn’t account for people who have different tax codes.

Xero HQ | Insights - Ability to filter by client group
Please include in the Insights tab the ability to filter by client group.
9 votesHi everyone, thank you for contributing to this idea. We understand how useful it would be to filter the Insights dashboard by client groups in Xero HQ. Right now, you can filter the main Clients list by custom groups, but the Insights dashboard doesn’t support this filter just yet.
The exciting news is that we’re currently working on the Xero Partner Hub, which includes exploring ways to enhance reporting and insights tools. You can find out more about what’s coming on our Blog.
This idea is now in the Gaining Support stage. Your votes and comments play a big part in helping us understand how important this is to the broader Xero community and shape future product conversations. We’ll keep you posted here as more details come through!

Xero HQ fixed assets - Lookup to ATO Effective Life
In the Fixed Assets module, it would be helpful to have the option to link to the ATO's Effective Life tables when adding a new asset. This feature would allow users to search for the Effective Life of an asset. It should also be possible to overwrite this value, allowing you to input a different number of years if they choose to self-assess. Having access to the ATO's guidance would be extremely helpful.

AU Tax - Ability to share Rental Property Schedules
The fact that it's so hard to get a rental property schedule to share from one return to the selected second client is very very very very annoying. If there were a button we could press to manually ask it to share across that would save endless saving, closing, opening, closing the whole program, turning off your computer and leaving my desk in frustration.

In the previous version of Xero, uploading invoices was much faster and more efficient. When uploading an invoice image, we could immediately select whether it was a Sales Invoice or a Bill from the same screen. This saved time and simplified the workflow.
Another important feature in the old system was the visual indicator: once an image was uploaded and recorded as a Sales Invoice or a Bill, there was a clear mark showing that the document had already been categorized. This provided transparency and reduced the risk of duplicate entries.

Xero Tax (AU) - Automatically add the ABN from the client record to P5 of the individual tax return
Any taxpayer can only have one ABN.
Why does Xero leave P5 blank when it could put the ABN (which is already in the client record) into P5 for me?
If you're worried about there sometimes being an ABN in the client record but there being no business that year and it needing to be blank.. then make it work the same as when I rollover from a prior period - last year's fields are rolled over but I can delete them if need be.

New staff Experience - Assign organisation user permissions within Practice tools
In the new staff experience, it's only possible to assign staff members the Advisor or None role for a Xero organisation. It would be good to have blue Xero organisation roles available to select so to give my staff the correct permission from within practice tools (HQ/XPM)

The status of this idea has been updated to Gaining Support. Being able to assign a wider range of user permissions within the practice tools interface could make managing staff roles more flexible and centralised.
This idea is gaining traction quickly, which shows it’s something many in the community would find valuable.

Hubdoc - Apply payments to customer sales invoices (AR)
Please add the ability to enter payment details when posting invoices via Hubdoc.
At the moment, if an invoice has already been paid (e.g. by cash or a personal card), I have to post it in Hubdoc and then go into Xero to add the payment manually. This is especially common for my café and restaurant clients who pay many invoices in cash, and it creates a lot of extra work.
Being able to record the payment at the point of upload would save a huge amount of time.
