  1. Integrate workpapers module into Xero with direct links to the Xero trial balance. Importing the trial balance is impractical and time wasting and the allocation of the account balances within workpapers is dependant on the report code allocations. You should have to option to view all the account balances and the net profit or loss from the trial balance when viewing workpapers to ensure all balance sheet accounst are included.

  2. We would like Hubdoc to convert an uploaded Bank statement into a csv file.
    So as to easily import the data into Xero to reconcile new bank accounts prior to bank feed connection.

    Hello everyone, we want to let you know that we’ve recently released the ability to convert PDF bank statements into pre-formatted CSV files in Xero (Read more on our blog for more information).

    Currently, this feature is only available in the US and Canada. We know this tool will also be valuable to other regions and we'll be sure to update you with any new information about it becoming available globally.

    For now, we’ll move the status of this idea to ‘Under review’. So keep voting and give us your input on how this feature can benefit your workflow!

  3. Have the capability to transform a newly established task into a repeating job, as well as revise a recurring task to reflect modifications made to a job generated from the recurring assignment.

  4. Ability to transfer tax return link to other jobs. we have created a tax return in the wrong job or want to transfer the return to another job. Would be great if the hot link can be disconnected and reconnected to a different job.

    Hi community, thanks for your interest on this. While being able to move a Tax Return to another job is something we may look to do later, it's not in the near term plans. For now, we'll continue to collect and monitor your feedback, and share if there's any progress.

  5. Ability to connect to connect to the ATO and lodge activity statements where connected to multiple practices.
    We can lodge for clients we hold subscriptions for, but not for clients who self subscribe and grant us access.
    Have been advised if you're connected to multiple Xero HQ practices with the same email address and you try to lodge activity statements in Xero with the ATO, you'll get the error message – SBR.GEN.AUTH.006. This is because Xero can't determine which practice you're lodging activity statements in.

  7. Rename "other name" field to "middle name/s", need another field for casual name (say for example people that go by their middle name) and also put first name or casual name on contact details screen that is shown on front screen, currently showing other name for some reason...

  8. The company name for Xero invoice reminders is pulled from the legal/trading name in the organisation settings. However, the legal name is not the name that our clients know us as. When they get reminders, the reminders come from the legal name and that is confusing. I would like the reminders to be pulled from another field that contains the business trading name. The issue arises becasue the legal name is required to be entered into the legal name field if we want to use eInvoicing.

  9. Hubdoc date format recognition is set at a global level, meaning when it processes invoices for US date formats, it can get it very wrong (e.g. 01-09-23 is interpreted as 9th Jan 2023 when it should in fact be 1st Sep 2023).

    This makes automating the process impossible and requires manual checking and adjustment of the date on all US date format documents before submitting to Xero. It can also lead to mistakes and significant additional time to rectify errors when reconciling.

  11. It would be really helpful if there was a way of adding a notification dot on the "failed" tab in Hubdocs to alert the user to any documents that have not been published. We have often had documents that have failed but forget to look on the failed tab. A reminder dot would be so helpful and probably quite easy to install into the programme. Is this possible please?

  13. Change/Simplify the wording of Medicare Levy item M2-A regarding number of days not liable for surcharge. The question is a double-negative and hard to comprehend sometimes.

    Suggestion: "How many days was the taxpayer covered by Private health during the year?"

    We often just print a tax estimate and it would be great to have one button for the tax estimate rather than having to unclick all the other options in the print menu.

  17. Currently the file sizes generated in uploading receipts is unnecessary large - I often see 3Mb for a coffee receipt! This is problematic when onward charging expenses to customers (and requires manually resizing before adding to an invpice which is time consuming) and must be costing you a fortune in data storage. Why isn't the file size limited to a sensible size or at least configurable by the user?

  18. Now that you've forcible inserted every single client as a line item in Xero HQ via Single Client Record, we NEED the ability to filter search results to only show client lines with Xero files attached.

    Example: searching for 'Lee' used to result in 3 client Xero files - now it results in 598.

    This is literally unusable.

    EDIT: There is a filter for TYPE of subscription; I do not and could not care less whether a client has a Ledger, GST Cashbook, Starter, Premium, whatever other tier you care to make up.

    I just NEED a tickbox to toggle…

  20. Allow users to add columns for Partner, Manager, Client Group, Xero file type and subscription owner.
    We have staff that work for a particular Partner's clients. It would be great to be able to filter the client list by all of the above information so that they can be easily identified for updating new staff permissions.
