hubdoc - Auto Multiple line entry
Time saving data entry - it would benefit most small businesses if Hubdoc could read Tax Invoices line by line and enter the data directly into the 'Line Items:' data entry area. There is nothing worse than viewing an Tax Invoice in XERO and seeing a reference number. Yes I know you can look at the upload invoice but this is not a time saving process. This would also improve account coding process.
Setting up Suppliers in HUBDOC settings is not practical, one setting does not apply to all (re: account fields).

XPM: Make the Productivity Dashboard exportable
It would be great to be able to print or export the Productivity Dashboard like the other standard reports.

XeroHQ | AU Payroll - Report or View STP Unfiled Pay runs
It would be good to be able to run a report of all Xero clients that have unfiled STP, or be able to view at a glance on XeroHQ. This would assist in making sure clients are meeting their compliance obligations quickly rather than go into every client to look at the Payroll Overview.

Report Templates - Ability to have a button that changes the order of the months
In Xero reporting, when you run a multi-period P&L or balance sheet report (with comparative periods), there should be an option to change the order that the month/year appears in. For example, the default for all reports is newest first (FY25, FY24, FY23). It would be good to have an option for the opposite presentation, e.g. FY23, FY24, FY25 or Jul-24, Aug-24, etc.
I know this can be manually changed in the edit layout section but if you are comparing to several periods (e.g. 12, 24, etc), it is time consuming to manually change all of them.

Multicurrency - Cheque/Check Log
We need the ability to issue a cheque and track cheque numbers in currency that is not the home currency. Example CAD is home currency. We have a USD bank account and issue cheques on that USD account but we are unable to confirm the cheques have been issued in sequence as there is no log. We are also unable to issue a cheque from that account.

HubDoc- sync of chart of accounts
Make a force sync button from Xero to Hubdoc.
E.g. adding a new account in Xero takes a while for it to eventually show in Hubdoc.
Unless you have to disable and reactivate the Xero-Hubdoc linkWhy not a button, that just 'force sync' the new chart of accounts into Hubdoc?

Hubdoc - Default coding of Document Type
Be able to set up default coding for the Document Type to always be Receipt, and Document Status to always be Awaiting Payment. This at present isn't possible within Hubdoc.

NZ Tax | AIM - View mapped accounts
When drafting AIM reports in XPM, it would be helpful if you could hover over the box number and it lists the accounts that are being mapped there as opposed to changing report codes in blue Xero and continually having to update the AIM report to see if accounts are mapping correctly.

My Xero
It would be nice if My Xero could allow sorting by the number of unreconciled transactions. Being able to sort by the number of comments would be nice too

XPM reports - [Client] Group(s) criteria to show as dropdown list
When using the field [Client] Group(s) as a criteria in step 3 of report builder, you can only specify the relevant client group name in the text field. There's currently no functionality for a drop down list of client groups to select from similar to the clients field. Requesting this as an option

default refund account type to client
AU TAX - Default EFT account type to CLIENT
Under Cover > Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) > Account type there are 3 options - Manual, Client, and Agent.
It would be helpful if there was a setting in Client Settings > Client Types to default the EFT Account type, so we don't have to manually change this on every return.

vat number on vat tab
Please show the VAT number on the VAT page. At the moment either need to go via the Financial settings or drill into a VAT return to see the VAT registration number. Would be good if quickly visible on the VAT page

Practice Manager | Onboarding - Companies house sync
Companies House sync - Client Onboarding
Would like to see a Companies House sync for this. Our current PM system has this facility and it saves so much time (and is accurate). Also used as a check when submitting annual CS01 forms. We are considering moving to XPM and this would seal the deal

Global Search to look at more contact detials held on file
It would be really helpful if the Global Search Bar would also look at all fields held with the the 'Contact details' ie
- Account number
- Company registration number
Quick referencing these detials directly from the Global Search Bar would save me loads of time and fustration

NZ Tax - Split business/private use in the asset worksheet within the rental schedule
Can you please add the ability to split depreciation between business & private use in the asset worksheet within the rental schedule in XPM.

More customisation on reports, especially management report, trial balance, etc.
What if I want to add something on the cover and content page? There should be an option to insert content, add a text block, etc. Not to mention the period customisation, we have clients that just started out and we are required to add (Date of Incorporation) behind the starting date, e.g. period from 23 August 2024 (Date of Incorporation) to 31 March 2025.
I want to also address the trial balance and some other reports as well, namely the accounting period has a lack of flexibility in terms of displaying the figures we wanted, like all I want…

Xero Tax - Distributions from Family Trusts that include a Capital Gain
If capital gains have been distributed in a family trust distributions, the data doesn't feed into item 18. You can't select the 'create CGT worksheets…' option like you can for managed funds. Instead you have to create new CGT worksheet & manually enter the CGT information

Xero tax - Depreciation worksheets
You can't create a stand-alone worksheet for depreciable assets then feed the figures to a chosen label. Depreciation has to be created within the label e.g. rental worksheet/D5/D1. For assets created within a rental schedule you can print nice depreciation worksheets. For assets created at other labels, you sometimes can't print a nice worksheet and the information displayed at the label is limited. The assets worksheets attached to a rental property in a Trust return doesn't show the cost or acquisition date of each asset.

Xero HQ - Allow users to see all clients and request access as needed
It would be great if ALL users (ie practice staff) in Xero HQ could see all Xero files. It should be obvious on the list which are accessible and which are not (ie if you didn't have access, the Xero org name could be greyed out)
In terms of access, if a particular staff member did not have access to a Xero file, they should be able to request access from a HQ Administrator (with mange user access of course) which can be granted easily. Would be handy to have a 'Why' comment field so the approver knows the context…

Viewing full list of the Chart of Accounts from client's Xero organisation
The Chart of Accounts interface within the client's Xero organisation displays a limitation of 200 accounts per page. This necessitates frequent clicks of the 'Next' button, which can be inefficient. It is believed that the Xero Product Team could enhance this feature to allow the display of an unlimited number of accounts on a single page, mirroring the functionality currently available in the Chart of Accounts template within Xero HQ.
1 voteThanks for sharing in the community here. While we appreciate there are some organisation's that have a large number of accounts, the current 200 limit per page is sufficient for majority of organisations to see their full list of accounts and we don't have plans for extending this.
