  1. It would be good to be able to completely delete bank statement lines, so that they are no longer visible as deleted transactions, where, for example they have been imported into the wrong bank account, or client account.

  2. In Xero tax , There should be separate and separate tagging/ mapping for Net wages, Director's Loan accounts, Pension liability , PAYE liability etc. instead of common tagging/Mapping as "other creditors".
    Because Reader/Practitioner may face difficulties to identify figurs in accounts reports. If Xero team provides tagging options more specific to Balance sheet items it will improve quality of Accounts report generated by Xero Tax.

    Hi Renea, I notice you added your idea here to Practice Manager, can I just confirm - Are you looking to search Client contacts within Practice Manager, or Contacts within an individual organisation? Thanks 

  4. US Tax - Create Schedule C Report with Full Cost (Total/Gross Cost Inclusive of Sales Tax) for tax return. Currently, it will pull the amounts without the sales tax (created when you match a transaction/enter an invoice using tax on purchases amounts) into the report, which is under-reporting the amount for the Schedule C tax deductions.

    The current work-around is to pull the transaction reports for each account and use the Gross amount from those reports in Excel to link back to the Schedule C report.

  5. the function to search for clients needs to be easier (similar to the search function) when you are trying to run reports in XPM. It is tiring to go through 3,000 clients on a list to select the one I want to view as the function to run reports only allows me to type the first initial.
    It takes us almost 5-6mins to run a simple report

  7. Revise Activity Statement / IAS via Xero when a client has lodged their own IAS/BAS. It would be beneficial for tracking purposes if Xero offered the facility to unlock a submitted BAS/IAS to review & amend and relodge with the ATO. Whilst these can be revised via ATO Portal there is no tracking or record of an amendment in Xero

  8. Add the option for differing annual leave allowances (weekend rates) that deduct from the overall annual leave accrual.

    Currently the workaround Xero has advised is setting up a "weekend annual leave" leave type with the correct leave loading for weekends and manually adjusting the leave accrual.

    Alternatively, a possible solution is adding an allowance leave type "O" for reporting.

  9. Remove CTR validation error for label 10A when entering 0 directly into the main label which is required when using temporary full expensing under the simplified depreciation rules. Instead you are required to create a nil schedule to remove this error and report correctly which is pointless.

  10. We are using the 'Client Queries' function for the first time this year.

    In Workpapers, each time a request for information is sent to a client, the 'Queries History' logs that an email was sent to the client, however there is no record of the content of the email sent for the client.

    We usually would save all emails to clients on file so that anything can be clarified if needed, but have noticed there is no ability to view the email content.

  11. No option to select 'File MTD VAT Return' in bulk for clients when setting up a new staff member in Xero HQ. After assigning the clients in bulk for a new staff member you have to then go into each client individually to give this permission.

  12. It would be really useful to be able to apply rounding adjustment (similar to those on the SOCE) for items in the accounts, but done on the face of the accounts. For example a use of home allowance will be a journaled amount each year, usually the same year on year. On a large number of accounts that i have produced recently this is rounded up one year and then rounded down the next year. This makes the accounts look messy and no amount of journaling the figures on the trial balance (which wastes significant time) will get this to…

  13. In personal tax there appears to be no provision to enter capital allowance for self employment in the form of a schedule which personal tax can keep year to year. This would help when writing down existing assets as well as adding and claiming for new assets differentiating the assets between main pool/special rate pool and assets with a personal use element to enter the percentage to apply.

    Hi team, thanks for our ongoing engagement. I can confirm we've started working on this. We're building the product so that it will be usable with personal tax, partnership tax and MTD IT in the future. We'll keep you update on the progress for this, here.

  14. Would be great if we could sort by staff in the WIP Ledger reports. We can select staff it in the fields but not criteria. Would be good to provide reports to managers for their staff only.

  15. It would be great if you could add the standard compare tracking caterogies P&L to the management reports pack. At present, the only way to get it into the pack is to create a custom report, but this locks in the tracking categories selected and any future categories added are omitted.

  16. Integrate a bank statement generator into bank feeds so accountants and bookkeepers can send a request directly to the clients bank for a bank statement for quarterly bank reconciliation. Pre-approved by client when bank feed integration is setup. Alternatively, automated bank statements per quarter generated and uploaded to Xero via bank automation.

  17. Xero Sign: Add Template for sending packs and Add a text box option for documents within a document pack:

    Is there any way to set up an 'Email Template' message for when we send out our packs? I can't find anywhere to do this is xero or Xero HQ or Ask. We would like to set up a standardised message for your annual accounts...

    Is there a way to enter a 'text' field into a document as well as a signature?

    Hi everyone, thanks for your support in the idea here. Reading over there are 2 separate requests in the one thread

    • Ability to create a default email template for sending document packs 
    • A text box on single documents in a pack 


    We have another idea that's been started around the default email template across here and I invite all those interested to add their votes. 

    For the thread here I've updated the title slightly for the Text box on individual documents so we can track the interest in each of these separately. 

  18. At the moment Xero doesn't have a list of clients in alphabetical order when I go into Staff to amend access. With over 200 clients, it is taking a long time to sort it all out, even if I use the search box.
    Please include functionality so that the client list in Staff is in alphabetical order by default, the same as it was in My Xero staff.
    I would also like to see a number value next to the staff member's name showing how many clients they have access to. Again, similar to the set up in My Xero…

  19. We should be able to Import data from Xero Ledger to Xero tax to Label 11 and 18 and other non business schedule labels. Currenly we cannot import dividends, interest and other expenses for investment entities which do not operate a business

  20. Currently is it not possible to generate an exception report showing new clients added during the previous month, quarter or year. This is an important piece of reporting for CRM purposes. Similarly, it would be nice to generate an exception report showing client changes with appropriate attribute filters.
