Enable Capital Works Deductions in Rental Schedule for ITR
Hi Xero Team,
It would be highly beneficial if Xero allowed users to record Capital Works Deductions directly in the Rental Schedule for Income Tax Returns (ITR). Currently, this critical aspect of rental property deductions has to be entered manually, which defeats the purpose of using accounting software to streamline and automate tax compliance.
Including this feature would:
- Improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Reduce manual effort and the risk of errors.
- Make Xero a more comprehensive tool for rental property management and tax preparation.
Please consider implementing this functionality in future updates. It would significantly enhance the user experience for accountants…

XPM - Multi currency invoicing and reports
Improve multi currency capability of XPM.
Currently, XPM only caters for invoicing out in the base currency and so invoices are done out of Xero. When it compes to KPI reports out of XPM, the info is all wrong. Invoice amounts pull through in invoice currency and not base currency, where as time is calculated in the base currency, these are incorrectly picked up as over and unders. Porting of Credit card Credits as negative expenses
Allow for credit card credits to be posted as negative expenses. This will permit matching in QBO bank section. Currently credit card credits are not matchable and cause confusion with client staff unaware of what to do with these orphan transactions in QBO.

Hubdoc - Allow us to post spend money transactions from account codes where payments are enabled
In Xero we can enable payments on any account which allows us to post payments from that account directly. In Hubdoc you can only post spend money transactions from accounts listed as 'bank accounts' in Xero. This creates extra work for us when reconciling accounts as we also aren't able to post journals to bank accounts in Xero so we have to find a work around.
Please update Hubdoc also include any accounts that have payments enabled

Preview attachments in general ledger detail and accounts transaction report
General ledger detail and Accounts transaction report - Have the ability to view attachments to invoices/transactions in the same way you can when viewing the VAT return reports.

Wise integration
When making exchange rate transfer, Wise wraps the bank fee in the balance. It then requires manual input to add the bank fee in Xero.
Is there no way to have Wise split the transaction and show the bank fee separately?
e.g.
A client wants 100 EUR in WISE EUR account, with Wise taking a fee of 50p on the transaction
The exchange rate is such that 100 EUR is £97.30Currently Wise would add the fee there would be one transaction in Xero of £97.80 Converts to 100 EUR
If this was presented as two transactions:

Xero Tax - Not Filed Filter
It would be good to be able to filter the Tax Home Page by Not-lodged/Not-Filed.
We can view the Filed on one tab, but to see ALL Not-Yet-Filed returns we need to go between Draft, Completed, Approved, To sign & To file tabs.
In the All tab it includes Filed. There is no way of removing the Filed from this tab.
It would be great to be able to see all outstanding returns in one place without seeing ones already completed.1 vote -

Check Register Report
New to be able to run a report to show checks paid out each month, sortable by each bank account. Date - Payee - Check Number - Transaction Amount - Status (Reconciled / Unreconciled), Total dollar amount of checks written for the month, as well as total dollar amount of checks unreconciled for the month. It would be nice to have the voided checks fall to the bottom as well. I have attached a copy of one I make in excel every month since Xero doesn't have this report.

ATOmate Fee For Service
It would be great if you can automate the ticking in of this 'ATOmate Fee For Service' (under client details) whenever 'Deduct fee from refund' is selected on the tax return currently in process. And if in the next financial year's tax return it is no longer fee from refund, 'ATOmate Fee For Service' will automatically be unticked.

rule identifier
In the list of client files, an indicator or percentage to show the portion of bank transactions allocated by bank rules to identify client files which can be optimised and more efficient by automation and bank rules.
If client files can then be sort by the indicator to then extract a list for action.
In xero files, for each transaction recorded by a rule could there be an indicator (ie "rule applied") to differentiate transactions manually recorded and recorded via a bank rule.

reverse journal
In VAT return, when the payment to the supplier invoice is reversed, it creates a reverse line of VAT claim but does not show its reference when clicking on it. it just shows the journal figures without any refence which does not allow to see to which transactions it relates to.
Journal is attached for visual understanding where currently no reference is seen.

Add a built in date range for "Current Fiscal Year to Last Month" for saved reports
With a built in date range for Current Fiscal Year to Last Month, it will allow for some YTD reports to be saved without having to show info from the current month or manually change the dates each month the reports are run. This would save time when publishing financials for groups of clients each month.
